Your Words Requires Discipline To Function

Hi everyone,

Last time I wrote on how important it is to pay attention to our words because they either create life or death in our lives, and this is very important because even what we listen to could bring life or death upon us. Everything we face in our lives is as a result of what we said or what we received through words into our lives. We have power to command sickness, diseases, poverty, and every other negative things away from our bodies, the same is so with positive things. But I emphasised that there is the word which has power and authority over every other word when used accordingly, and this is the Word Himself—Jesus. This means if someone speaks a word which is not right, it can be countered using the Word of God, through the scriptures in the name of Jesus, by being led by the Holy Spirit. Today, my emphasis is on why we speak the word of God over our situation but don’t get things done. Today, this is what I’ll explain.

It is one thing to speak the word over things by moving it from one place of rest to another, but when we see things that are not right, by the using the word of God we can speak what God has declare for us over that particular situation. But there are times we don’t get to see anything happen, what could be wrong? The issue is still us, the truth is that we were born with the way the world is, with its crooked and perverse way of doing things. By receiving Jesus into our lives, we have to train our minds to allow the new way of life become our new way of doing things, by being transformed daily.

Now, the issue we have is that even though we now have the word of God on our lips, many of us aren’t disciplined, by working on our mind-set. How much do we believe what we say, and when we say it, what do we do or expect. Do we expect to see what we said manifest or do we fall back on what we are trying to change by being distracted by environmental factors?

How much do you believe in what you say? What you rest on is what your life tilt towards. As you declare a thing, you need to discipline yourself against every form of distraction to move you away from what you have declared especially when it appears not to materialise immediately. But remember, our words are like seeds that needs to be planted and watered to ensure its proper growth, and the watering should be consistent.

So, how can you be consistent? You can be consistent by thanking God for the result even before they materialise, and strengthening yourself through the word of God, not just through any part of the scriptures, but scriptures of faith which strengthens you and keep you focused, and keep doubt away. Your consistency by being fixed on what you have declared makes your word come to pass, as it guides your daily actions and thoughts.

There are a lot of distractions with the intention of changing your mind on what you have declared, but don’t forget every word you say has an effect [life or death], but it depends on where your heart lies, and this takes a lot of discipline. Nothing is impossible unless you say so, especially when it is fix on the word of God.

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
