You Need HIS Help, Don't Be Stubborn

Hi everyone,

A boy of two wanted to wear his shoes which normally needed an adult assistance, I was around to help but the boy insisted he wanted to wear the shoes himself so I allowed him, but after trying and trying to put his shoes on, it seemed impossible to do, especially with the type of shoes. He started crying because the foot won’t go in, so I offered to help, but he declined still insisting he wanted to put the shoes on himself. After trying over and over again and crying as though something more serious had happened, I snuck to help him put his shoes on easily, of which there wouldn’t have been tears of any sort in the first place. As I pictured this scenario, I noticed this is how many of us behave towards God when He offers to help us, we always tell Him we can do what we cannot do.

We often hear stories about nation rising against nations, corruption issues in nations, criminal issues, and many more, all these didn’t start suddenly, they started like a seed before it became a tree or a forest and it is because they claimed they could do it, but they couldn’t. No matter how much we try as human beings through our logic and technologies, crime rate and corruption would always be on the increase until we meet our Father—God who knows all things and can solve our problems permanently, point of correction, He has already solved our problems, it’s only for us to accept it.

The Bible says in Proverbs 16:1 and 2, “THE PLANS of the mind and orderly thinking belong to man, but from the Lord comes the [wise] answer of the tongue. All the ways of man are pure in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the spirits (the thoughts and intents of the hearts).” We need to constantly look unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith and the solution to all our problems, (ref.: Hebrews 12:2).

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
