The Importance of Perseverance

Hello everyone,

There are times in our lives where we face some obstacles in our lives, these obstacles are things which are contrary to the grace given to us by God. Now, why I call them obstacles is because, that point in time, doubt, fear and unbelief comes to play. These obstacles could be in our health, or our finance, or whom to marry. To believe what the Holy Spirit has revealed to us through the scriptures is not the issue, but the issue could be the fear of the obstacle. What do I mean here?

I knew a man who is a Son of God, according to him he never had health issues he couldn’t destroy using the scriptures, but it happened that he was attacked with a brain trauma which after being diagnosed by the doctors, they had to place him on a particular period of time, but he was having the side effects from the brain trauma which was so scary, and the side effect became his obstacle. He spoke to his obstacle and spoke with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit told him he was made whole the moment he became a Son of God, and better still the side effect had no hold on him the moment he rebuked it, but the side effects came back again, but he did something which sent the side effect packing permanently, what did he do?

Perseverance was the answer. One thing we need to understand is that a Son of God cannot be oppressed by the devil, if he is, it means he hasn’t developed his Spirit man in that area, so where does perseverance come in? Perseverance here helps strengthen your Spirit man, how is this done? The devil has placed a lot of distractions around us which negate what we have receive by grace through Christ, for instance, healing.

To keep declaring what we have received through Christ using the scriptures over and over and over again, maybe when we wake up and before we sleep, and speaking in tongues which strengthens our Spirit man. The more we keep declaring the word of God over and over we persevere by putting our foot down on what God has given us through Christ, and this means focusing on the word and not on the obstacle. The more we focus on the word and not on the obstacle, even if the obstacle shows up, we still persevere by sticking to the word, gradually the obstacle becomes less of an obstacle as what is true stands which is what Christ has given us.

But to persevere is not the only thing we should do in cases like this, something very important should be done in season and out of season, and what is? Log on same time tomorrow to find out.
