Be The Shoulder To Lean On

Hello everyone,

Sometimes I see people, people even in the body of Christ who feel too big and important, and are completely perfect physically without any challenges, they feel too Holy like they cannot make any mistakes. As a result, they look down on their fellow brothers and sisters in Christ who face issues. The Message Bible says in Galatians 6:1-3, “Live creatively, friends. If someone falls into sin, forgivingly restore him, saving your critical comments for yourself. You might be needing forgiveness before the day’s out. Stoop down and reach out to those who are oppressed. Share their burdens, and so complete Christ’s law. If you think you are too good for that, you are badly deceived.”

What we need to understand is that even though as Sons of God, our Spirit is completely the same as Christ, our soul is being perfected daily, as a result, we are being perfected, we could face challenges sometimes as we grow, one’s level of growth differs from another, that doesn’t mean those who have grown far should look down on those who are below you in level of growth, because you might be needing forgiveness or assistance soon. To say you cannot help those who are oppressed is not an attribute of Christ, but an attribute of the flesh.

As Sons of God, we are to examine ourselves daily, especially on the work we have been given which should be our focus. One thing we must understand is that to work with God can never be done with our abilities but with the strength of the Holy Spirit, which is grace because we don’t deserve it when we look at how we live, so it would be wrong of us to compare ourselves. We have a responsibility given to us by God, which should be our focus and nothing else.

Galatians 6:7 and 8 speak of sowing and reaping, and as Sons of God when we sow acts of selfishness we reap that in return, but when we sow acts of love and care of everyone around us, we get that in return. But, there are those among us who do everything to please everybody, true it is good to please everyone, but in many cases, this cannot be achieved because you are just one person. Saying ‘yes’ to one is saying ‘no’ to another, you can’t say ‘yes’ to both parties, and in the long run be full of fatigue. This is why we need the Holy Spirit for wisdom to know how to live our daily lives the right way and fulfilling our true calling and responsibility. One thing is certain, as you keep doing the good by being led by the Spirit, you will harvest a good crop if you don’t give up, or quit. And as Galatians 6:10 says, “Right now, therefore, every time we get the chance, let us work for the benefit of all, starting with the people closest to us in the community of faith.” MESSAGE.

In conclusion, we are to understand that as part of the body of Christ we are work together, strengthening one another in love, being the shoulder to rest on, because you could definitely need a shoulder once in a while, and this can only be done by being led by the Spirit and not by the flesh.

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.
