Expressing Faith Through Love and Discipline

Hello everyone,

I took a look at 2 Timothy 1:7 which says, “For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and discipline and self-control.” Amplified Bible. This verse is very powerful, but who was this written to? It was Apostle Paul’s letter to Timothy. In verse 5, Paul says, “I am calling up memories of your sincere and unqualified faith (the leaning of your entire personality on God in Christ in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness)…” Amplified Bible. Paul recognised the high level of faith in Timothy as he placed his entire being on God in Christ, which gave him access to absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness. It was with this that Paul said in verse 6 that have gained access to such treasures in Christ Jesus, Timothy should rekindle the flame and keep burning for Christ, this was where verse 7 then came in.

Why am I saying this? The reason for this is because, there are times in our lives where we want to express Christ in our daily lives to people, and we feel shy to do so, maybe because of what people would say and you could be pushed out of a clique, but you know it is important to express the life of Christ as your way of life, you remember 2 Timothy 1:7, but why isn’t it happening? The reasoning is because you haven’t experienced Jesus enough, and why is that so?

Coming into Christ isn’t coming into a religion, you cannot have a relationship in a religion, but you can have a relationship with Christ, and as you continue to relate with Him, thus understanding that Christ is your life by leaning on Him completely, you receive treasures of His power, wisdom, and His goodness in your life, this stirs you up and that boldness to live the life of Christ and express it to others becomes normal for you.

For Timothy, He saw Christ expressed in both his grandmother and mother, which was, what made him know Jesus, as he saw Christ expressed in their everyday life. When you experience Jesus and then put your trust in Him and also lean on Him, desire the passion which establishes the spirit of power, love and sound mind.

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!

Fight The Good Fight

Happy New Week everyone,

As a Son of God, you are to live and walk by faith, not just casually, but in everything you do. Living the life of faith is putting aside the way of life of this world and embracing the Grace God has given us as real and true. But the issue here is that to embrace the life of faith is not something you do like a cup of tea. It is something that is intense because it has to do with life itself, thus how you live, or better still, your existence as a person. It is not a theory you adopt that you could just drop when you’re tired of it, the life of faith is living your life, but the life God has given you.

The world operates under the evil one which is not in line with the Grace God has given us. Every day, we see this life which the world calls normal trying to get our attention, even when we now know that the life of Grace through faith is the true and real life, the only way is to fight the good fight of faith, but not being distracted by the way of the world.

We are to seek the face of Jesus in all that we do, for He is our source of faith and strength. As we look unto Jesus, we are strengthened, and our faith increases as we stand strong on the solid rock—Jesus [Grace]. We are to cast all our cares and worries aside, no matter what happens, these are also sources of distractions. We must meditate on the word of God, His promises towards us which are true and already in existence. As we believe and continually confess them, our faith increases and the hold of the world on us is weakened.

We all have a mandate which through the leading of the Holy Spirit we would achieve these goals. Christ is our prize which we are to strive for, and not the earthly, temporary trophy. And as Apostle Paul told Timothy in 1 Timothy 6:12 which says, “Fight the good fight of the faith; lay hold of the eternal life to which you were summoned and [for which] you confessed the good confession [of faith] before many witnesses.” AMP, we too should fight the good fight of faith and lay hold on eternal life, and Jesus told us what eternal life is in John 17:3, which says, “And this is eternal life: [it means] to know (to perceive, recognise, become acquainted with, and understand) You, the only true and real God, and [likewise] to know Him, Jesus [as the] Christ (the Anointed One, the Messiah), Whom You have sent.” AMP.

Knowing God/Jesus boosts our faith as we understand what being one with God really means. Stand strong in Christ by fighting the good fight of faith, which makes us sure of what we believe and have placed our life on, it is not for weak links and doubter, but for those who know Who they gave their lives to.

How To Use The Four Steps of Living, in Joshua 1 verse 8

Happy Sunday everyone,

In my previous write-up, I wrote on The Four Steps of Living, in Joshua 1 verse 8. Today, I’ll give examples which would elaborate on the use of these four steps in Joshua 1:8.

The first step focuses on the confession of the Word. Now, it is not just any Word that is confessed, but the Word of God that is confessed as it falls in line with the finished work if Jesus. A man with sickness is expected to confess what the Word of God says concerning his sickness. And he starts to rebuke the sickness by confessing healing scriptures, such as 1 Peter 2:24; Jeremiah 33:6; Psalm 116:8-9, and more.

Then he meditates on these scriptures that he constantly confesses, day and night, which is the second step. He then moves to the third step which is that based on his confession, the Holy Spirit guides his thoughts and way of life, such as his working on his diet, or sleeping pattern, or working on his media habits, and others, all through perseverance by not being distracted by the devil.

He then moves to the final stage, he is strengthened spiritually by faith based on what he has been confessing and meditating, his physical life has a good habit. He then sees the sickness reduce gradually and eventually fade off. All these enabled him to understand that he has the same life as Christ Jesus by being the righteousness of God.

Another person could have financial challenges and would need to go through the four stages of living, in Joshua 1:8.

He would start by confessing the Word of God concerning his financial situation, on scriptures such as Ephesians 1:3; Philippians 4:19; Numbers 23:19-20, and more, which is the first step.

The second step is to for him to meditate on these scriptures day and night, which must be consistent to see the result. And as he does this, the Holy Spirit guides his life, strengthening his spiritually, and through the things he might have not paid attention to, such as how to manage his finance, guiding him on what he was meant to do which would yield income, how to give cheerfully, and more, which is the third step.

The fourth and final step is that through his constant confession, focus, and meditation on the Word of God, he would see his observe his obvious spiritual growth, and how his financial expenses are guided by the Holy Spirit, which would lead him to a debt-free life.

The life of these two persons is just a summary of how your life would change for the better according to how God designed your life to be. It is not what many would call “easier said than done”, it would only be when you don’t try it.

The Lord God has said in many places that we should prove Him if taking our lives according to how He wants it to be [summarised in Joshua 1:8] won’t give us a blessed and fulfilled life. He made us not to suffer, but to enjoy, all you have to do is go through the manual or blueprint He has given us, doing things your way would get you nowhere trust me. Use the four steps of living, in Joshua 1:8, and give that testimony of your transformed life.

The Four Steps of Living, in Joshua 1 verse 8

Happy Weekend everyone,

Joshua 1:8 says, “This book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” This verse explains how to live according to God’s plans, which is my focus here today.

Under the new covenant, the Law is replaced with the Word of God in line with the finished works of Jesus. Now, the verse starts with the confession of the Word. Yes, it may take a while to properly believe what is being confessed, but just keep on confessing the true Word of God, which would lead to the second step of the verse.

The second step is that we should meditate on what we confess, day and night. As we meditate on what we confess, we then believe and understand what we confess, which would make it effective. By doing this it leads us to the third step.

The third step is that by the consistent meditation of the Word and confession helps to shape our thought pattern to fall in line with God’s plan for us, which is how we are able to observe to do according to what is written in the Word. And this leads to the fourth and final step.

The last and final step is that once our mindset is shaped in line with what God’s plans are for us, we make our ways prosperous and end up in good success.

In my next write-up, I’ll give examples of how these four steps of Joshua 1:8 are used, and how it affects our daily lives.

Find Jesus, Find Your Purpose

Hello everyone,

God has an individual plan and purpose for each of us. I have said this several times, but the essence of my emphasis is that God designed each and everyone for a special job or task, and that task cannot change no matter how hard you try to avoid it. When you meet Him [Jesus] on the last day, He would ask you of the same task He assigned to you while here on earth, if you did it or not. You cannot run away from the assignment He gave you.

Let us not get deceived when we work or do other things and become so successful and think that is what God called us for. It is just the laws of this earth that are working for you, what you sow, you will reap. And this is different from what God Himself assigned to you here on earth.

I know a testimony of a man who always asked God to guide him in all he did, he got a leading of the Holy Spirit of the exact things he was meant to do, but they appeared to him as things which won’t let him make it in life. So, he tried to dodge what God asked him and did some little jobs by the side. He was neither here nor there, in order words, he didn’t take up what God asked him to do, and neither did he get a proper job so as not to offend God. He wasn’t making as much money as he wanted. But every time he asked God for a direction, God kept on repeating the same thing He told him over and over and over again. He didn’t change it.

It was after wasting almost three years of his time that he decided to ask God again, and He repeated the same thing that he decided to take up what God asked to do. Today, he found God’s hands in everything he did by obeying God, as all his needs were met and he saw the reasons why God asked him to do what he told him.

That is just a testimony of a man, but that doesn’t change the story of our lives. The emphasis is not about what we are going to gain here on earth, but pleasing the Lord who made you. We are to walk with God to find out what He has ordained for us, and when you receive Jesus Christ as Lord of your life, the Holy Spirit would be there to guide us to and through the path ordained for us, through the Word of God.

My point here is that we are Ambassadors of Christ here on earth, our needs will always be met as we walk with Him. We are on a mission here on earth, and when we get back to Him, He will ask us on the assignment He gave us. I am very concerned because it is not just about giving your life to Christ through repentance but to do what He called us here on earth to do, and I don’t hear much of this today which is very important. When you find Jesus, you find your purpose.

Words of Fear are not Words of God

Hi everyone,

What we focus on is very important. Several times, or even all the time, I always emphasise on we fixing our thoughts on Jesus. I say this every time because it sometimes appears difficult, so, when we keep hearing it every time, over and over again, we then see the simplicity in focusing on Jesus eventually.

Every day, I get better at focusing on Jesus. I haven’t gotten to the stage of perfect focus, but each day I get better than the previous day. But one thing is certain, as we get stronger spiritually, so our trials and temptations get stronger. The devil knows the areas we haven’t perfected, and that is where he tempts us.

I once wrote in one of my write-ups that when we hear the word temptation, we often think of things such as fornication, adultery, theft, murder, backbiting and other related cases. But there are people who are perfect without falling into any of these mentioned, and still, they get tempted by the devil with things beyond these. And one of them is fear!

Fear operates with the same force as faith, it is just that fear carries a negative force, and brings physical evidence which negates what God has ordained for a person. But these starts in the mind, and when we believe this false evidence, they appear real to us, and if care isn’t taken it increases the persons fear. The question now is, how do we overcome fear?

The Bible says in Romans 10:17, “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Since faith comes by hearing, and the hearing by the word of God, also fear comes by hearing, and the hearing is the corrupt words of the world which the devil is lord over.

The question now is, who do you listen to? God has given every one of us a plan and a purpose. The moment you key into the plan and purpose, you need to deep your head into His Word for guidance in order to achieve that which He has purposed for you, (ref.: Psalms 119:105).

When the Lord tells you, you are healed, what do you listen to? You are meant to listen to His Word, by meditating on it day and night, so that your mind is renewed and your body transformed. Also, it takes away the time you would have given to listen to people who would tell you things negating what the Lord has told you. If you listen to people, songs, voices or anything that is not in line with what the Lord has told you, fear steps in, it’s all about the root.

We need to know this that fear itself is false, not real. Everything that it brings is fake, a mirage, but how will you take off the mirage from your subconscious? It is only through the Word of God, which is the right thing to listen to. If you think you’ve been listening to the Word of God and the fear is still there, then listen all the more because there are still spaces the corrupt words are penetrating, and be diligent and consistent.

You need to understand that the Word of the Lord is true and real because God never lies, and the word of fear is false because it opposes that of God.

As I said last time, praise God at all times to fix your thoughts on the Lord Jesus alone, who would strengthen you spiritually and physically.

You need to be violent, by taking charge of your life through Jesus by constantly confessing what you meditate on, then you would be able to resist the devil, and he would flee from you, (ref.: James 4:7). And always ask the Lord for interpretation of the Word as the Holy Spirit is always there to guide and strengthen us at every point in time.

Remember, do not give up if you don’t see any changes at a certain point in time. Put your backs into it by asking the Holy Spirit for help, as He would direct you to the path you are to take and how you are to take it.

Never give up, fear isn’t real, only faith in the Word of the Lord Jesus Christ is. The promise of the Lord is real. Don’t give up, it’s not over, when you give up, then it’s over. It is not over until you win.

Praises and Authority

Hello everyone,

In my previous write-up, I wrote on the importance of living and walking in faith, and not by sight or appearances, which I said is of a corrupt realm and not pleasing to God. I also, emphasised that without faith, it is impossible to please God and to live in the realm of faith, we need to see with the eyes of God because that is how God sees. His eyes see perfection, that which we received from Jesus from God as Grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

We are to constantly walk in Grace through faith, as we listen and obey the Holy Spirit, who helps us interpret the scriptures after we have meditated on them. The Holy Spirit helps us fix our eyes on Jesus alone and no one else, for in Him we have everything. But the corrupt world we live in is full of distractions which makes you doubt the faith life you claim to live. In all these, there is something we need to know, which is that we need to know Jesus Himself as a person, and not afar. The reason why this is important is that the more we know Jesus, the more His Grace which includes His fullness dwells more in us, and the devil has a lesser ability to distract us.

There is an important way we should never take for granted in getting to know Jesus personally, and that is praise! This may not sound new to us, right? But one thing is certain if we had been taking our praises to Jesus/God seriously, by knowing its importance, we wouldn’t have been seeing any challenges in our lives, or our challenges would have been reducing more and more.

Praise to God brings intimacy, and we have a better relationship with God our Father. Praise ought to be what we start the day with, and end the day with. In fact, we are to praise Him at all times, just as King David said in Psalms 34:1, “I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.”

Praise to God is an act of faith because when you praise God, you fix your eyes on Him alone, and God is pleased and you are strengthened spiritually and physically. When you are strengthened spiritually, it implies that you are understanding more and more what your true identity is, and it helps you live it physically as you have full control and authority over your life by Christ Jesus. And then you’ll see that the devil has little or no way of manipulating you. You can see how Jesus knew who He was as He made use of the Word of God to kick out the works of the devil in every way he tried, (ref.: Matthew 4:1-11; Luke 4:1-13), likewise, when we praise God, we are strengthened and we overcome the wiles of the devil, and sickness, diseases, and other works of the devil disappear eventually.

When you praise God regularly, your trust in Him increases and as Isaiah 26:3 says, “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.” This is very important because several people who had certain ailments were healed from their ailments, but because of certain fear or doubt in their mind, it appeared as though the ailment didn’t leave. And all this is because their relationship with Jesus wasn’t deep enough, and the sad thing is that Jesus had healed him. But the more the person who hungers and thirsts for Jesus keeps on praising Him, he will see his miracle manifest.

Do not give the devil a free hand in your life just because you don’t praise God. The world we live in is very corrupt and deceitful, and if our focus isn’t on Christ Jesus alone, the devil will use our idle time to feast on his deception. Praise the LORD at all times and see His Grace manifest in you naturally.

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t? Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!

Change Your Eye Sight

Hi everyone,

2 Corinthians 5:7 says, “For we walk by faith [we regulate our lives and conduct ourselves by our conviction or belief respecting man’s relationship to God and divine things, with trust and holy fervour; thus we walk] not by sight or appearance.” AMP.

Faith could appear mysterious in many ways especially when God said He has done a thing and we are yet to see it. Does that make God a liar? Other times, when we make use of faith, we tend to look into the future, which has been one reason many of us don’t get to receive what has already been given to us. So, when we walk by faith or regulate our lives by faith, what does it really mean?

2 Corinthians 5:7 tells us that when we live our lives using faith, we don’t use sight or appearances, what does this mean? It simply means that the life of faith and the “regular” life we found here on earth are two parallel lines which cannot meet.

Hebrews 11:6 tells us that without faith it is impossible to please God, in order words, to permanently please God, we all need to live in the faith zone, and not by sight or appearances. So, is faith something we cannot see with our eyes since we are told not to walk by what we see? Let’s move on.

The first thing we need to understand is that faith can be seen, but not with the eyes on our faces, rather with another pair of eyes. Another thing is that to see by sight or appearances are to see imperfection and corruption, which wasn’t ordained by God.

There is a perfect world we are to see, and this was given to us by Jesus when He resurrected, this is called Grace. Therefore, faith is simply the acceptance and belief in that which God has given as Grace through Jesus Christ.

Another thing we need to understand is that God Himself used faith to create the universe, (ref.: Hebrews 11:3). Jesus after He cursed the fig tree told His disciples to have faith in God, in other words, have the God kind of faith, (ref.: Mark 11:22). Still again, what this means is to see as God sees! This is the mystery behind everything.

God has seen the end from the beginning, in other words, He sees eternity at once. There is a perfect life He has fashioned, and that is what He sees, and that is what we are meant to see, and this has been put in our Spirit because those who are born of God possess the exact Spirit of God, in other words, we are united with God in Spirit—one Spirit. Therefore, as we see with the eyes of God, our mind is renewed, and our bodies become transformed. This is where breakthrough comes from, this is where healing comes from, and other miracles.

After the resurrection of Jesus, we understand that we were healed, (ref.: 1 Peter 2:24), and not going to be healed. So, how do we tap into this great life of faith? Look unto to Jesus, yes that sounds right, which it is, looking deeper, see the health, see the perfection and not by fantasising, but through Jesus, because, Jesus Himself is health! This is why Hebrews 12:1 and 2 asks us to lay aside any and every form of distraction, those things we see in this corrupt realm and look unto Jesus the author and finisher of faith, who becomes our faith because we don’t actually, have faith.

If we have truly become born of God, by being raised with Christ, Colossians 3:2 says, “Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.” But how do we see with this very special eyes of God?

The Holy Spirit is a very dear Friend we receive after becoming born of God. He is the One who would open our eyes of faith by showing us the path to tread. We would see more and more of only that which we were given by Grace through Jesus. So, when we see health, we are to hold fast to it. When we see prosperity and good success, we are to hold fast to it. But we are to listen and obey what the Holy Spirit tells as He interprets the Word of God to us when we meditate on it.

Living the life of faith is the only way to please God, as Hebrews 11:6 tells us, that without faith it is impossible to please God. And as Romans 8:6-7 says, “For to be carnally minded [walking by sight] is death, but to be spiritually minded [walking by faith] is life and peace. 7Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be.” So, we all need to change our eyes sight in order to live the right life.

He Arose! What Does It Mean To Us?

Hello everyone,

Last time I wrote on the importance of the power statement Jesus gave on the cross, which was the statement, “it is finished.” The statement represents, the end of an age, the completion of His work here on earth, and the end of our suffering under the Adamic covenant with its attributes, which includes sickness, diseases, poverty, depression, control of our lives by the devil. All these attributes were put to an end the moment Jesus said it is finished. But the question now is to know what next after the end of the era Jesus closed? This is what I would write on today.

We all understand the importance of the death of Jesus, as His death was a sacrifice on our behalf to save us from the works of the devil. But all these would just be a waste of time if one the thing hadn’t happened, which is the resurrection of our LORD and SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST.

Without the resurrection of Jesus, we would still be in our sins, and the sacrifice on the cross would have just been a waste.

The greatest miracle ever, was and still is the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and why is this so? When Jesus died, He went straight to hell, but what the devil didn’t know was that he didn’t have power over Jesus. Jesus went to hell to set the captives free, which are the righteous people who stayed in Abraham’s bosom till the coming of Jesus. People such as Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David, Moses, Joshua, Samuel, and many others. And another thing which was so important which Jesus did was to take back the powers of the earth which Adam gave to the devil from him, which is why Colossians 2:15 says, “[God] disarmed the principalities and powers that were ranged against us and made a bold display and public example of them, in triumphing over them in Him and in it [the cross].” AMP. How was this possible? It was made possible through the blood of Jesus, the blood which speaks better things than that of Abel.

It was the blood of Jesus which went to God, which made God appeased, and allowed Jesus to redeem us from hell. Jesus represented the whole world, “Therefore [because He stooped so low] God has highly exalted Him and has freely bestowed on Him the name that is above every name.” AMP. This was where the resurrection took place. And this is why in order to leave the old covenant, which is the Adamic covenant into the new covenant, we have to receive Jesus into our lives as our new Lord and Saviour.

In receiving Jesus as Lord, Colossians 2:12 says, “[Thus you were circumcised when] you were buried with Him in [your] baptism, in which you were also raised with Him [to a new life] through [your] faith in the working of God [as displayed] when He raised Him up from the dead.” So, as Jesus died, we also died, as He was buried, we were also buried, and as He resurrected, we also resurrected with Him into a brand new body and life and under Jesus.

Colossians 1:13-14 says, “[The Father] has delivered and drawn us to Himself out of the control and the dominion of darkness and has transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in Whom we have our redemption through His blood, [which means] the forgiveness of our sins.” AMP.

In understanding the importance of Christ’s resurrection, let’s take a look at Romans 5:12 which says, “Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned.” Romans 5:15 says, “But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many.” Romans 5:17 says, “For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.”

We need to understand the importance of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. For Adam, all authority and dominion on earth were given to him, thus, every of his offspring would possess this same dominion. But for Jesus who is the last Adam, all authority, in heaven and earth has been given to Him, and everyone who is born of Him possesses this exact same authority. In other words, sickness is under you, poverty is under you, cancer is under. All you have to do is to be born of Christ Jesus and believe in the authority He possesses right, that you also possess the exact same authority.

Therefore, in Christ, we operate the authority of Christ Jesus and not outside Him. We need to meditate and confess this authority because His name is above every other name, all things are under His feet, and as He is so are you in this world, (ref.: 1 John 4:17).

I cannot explain enough the Grace we have received from God through faith in Christ Jesus. It is something we unfold more and more, that which we grow into as we fix our eyes on the One true King—Jesus Christ Our Lord. He arose, and our lives changed just because of Him. Thank you, Jesus!

It Is Finished!

HAPPY EASTER everyone,

Easter is the most powerful celebration in every Son and Daughter of God’s life, because without the first Easter, we won’t call ourselves children of God, and we would be doomed till eternity.

The phrase which changed everything for us was the phrase, “it is finished.” Why was and is this so important in our lives today? It is so important to us because we were doomed to eternal damnation in the sight of God, and the blood of bulls and goats were used to cleanse us from our sins once a year. But as Hebrews 10:4 says, “For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins.” Hebrews 9:11-14 says,
“But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation. 12 Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. 13 For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh, 14 how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?”

Hebrews 10:14 says, “For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.” Hebrews 9:22 says, “And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission.” 1 Peter 2:24 says, “who Himself [Jesus] bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.”

Jesus became a sacrifice on our behalf in order that we would live. Isaiah 53:5a says, “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities.” Jesus took our condemnation, infirmities, our sins, everything that separated us from God, which made us unholy in the sight of God. And when I say our, I mean that of the whole world, past, present, and future. One Man [Jesus] took all these, so that we would live. One Man who was blameless before God, who didn’t deserve all these took it on our behalf.

He became unclean before God, which was why God turned away from Him. This was the reason my Jesus cried out, “Eli Eli lama sabachthani?” which is, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” (ref.: Matthew 27:46; Mark 15:34; Psalm 22:1).

It was when Jesus had borne all our sins and condemnation that He cried, it is finished. This statement indicates our redemption once and for all. In other words, He took our sins and gave us His righteousness, (ref.: 2 Corinthians 5:21). Also, when He said “finished”, it signified the end of an era, which was the Adamic era or age with all its attributes. It signifies the end of sickness, diseases, side effects, poverty, and all the attributes that the devil brought into the world through Adam.

But when Jesus brought this age to a close, what happened next? Log on to my next blog after this, and see the continuation of the awesome and marvelous thing Jesus has done for us, that He deserves more than our praises and worship.

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Our Faith and the The Lord's Supper

Happy Maundy Thursday everyone,

Romans 10:17 says, “So faith comes by hearing [what is told], and what is heard comes by the preaching [of the message that came from the lips] of Christ (the Messiah Himself).” AMP. Now, as true faith comes from hearing the message of Christ, faith also comes from Holy Communion, and this is my focus today.

Hebrews 4:12 says, the Word of God is living and active, in other words, the Word of God is alive and very powerful. It is not like mere words we say, even though what we say has power in itself, whether life or death, (ref.: Proverbs 18:21). But the Word of God is deeper than that, as it does not go forth out of the mouth of God and return void without accomplishing that which He pleased and purposed. It is the very same with the Holy Communion which started on the Lord’s Supper which we celebrate today.

The moment the Word of God being alive gets into our body through meditation, it quickens the mortal body through the renewal of the mind and the transformation of the body. This is where we see healing take place, deliverance, breakthrough, miracles and all sort of things of the finished work of Christ take place. And as I said, the Holy Communion does the exact same thing!

The Holy Communion comprises of the bread and the wine which symbolises the body and the blood of Jesus. Jesus in John 6:53-54 said, “I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, you cannot have any life in you unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood [unless you appropriate His life and the saving merit of His blood]. 54 He who feeds on My flesh and drinks My blood has (possesses now) eternal life, and I will raise him up [from the dead] on the last day.” AMP. He went ahead in verses 55 and 56, which says, “For My flesh is true and genuine food, and My blood is true and genuine drink. 56 He who feeds on My flesh and drinks My blood dwells continually in Me, and I [in like manner dwell continually] in him.” AMP.

The moment you eat the bread in the Holy Communion, you take in the body of Christ Jesus and we are reminded of how He brought brings healing, wholeness, perfection in our body, and in doing that, you becoming Jesus, not like Jesus, but Jesus because we are His body. And as we take in the blood, we are reminded of how our sins were purged out and then becoming the righteousness of God.

What we need to understand is that it is not when we take the Holy Communion that healings or miracles come, or that is when we become the righteousness of God. No, the moment we made Jesus Lord of our lives, healing, the forgiveness of sins, and other miracles were embedded in us, and we became the righteousness of God. What the Holy Communion does is to activate all these hidden in us, this is why we see healings and wholeness take place any time we take the Holy Communion.

This is why we are to take the Holy Communion often in order to remind us of who we are in Christ Jesus. It is an act of faith, the more we take the Holy Communion, the more we become Jesus. Remember, we are joint heirs with Christ Jesus, (ref.: Romans 8:17), and the Holy Communion helps us remember that.

In conclusion, we are to know that the Holy Communion is an act of thanksgiving to God for saving us by Grace through faith in Christ, as a result of what Jesus did for us on the cross. It is not a magic wand, it is an act of faith which strengthens us and quickens our mortal bodies. We are to meditate on the Word of God which strengthens our faith, and for us to properly understand what the Holy Communion means in our lives. HAPPY MAUNDY THURSDAY!

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.
