Build and Fight!

Hello everyone,

Do you know you are in battle? But this battle isn't like the regular battle that you know, because this battle has been won. But why is there still a battle to be concerned about? Let's find out why.

The main battle which many still think we are fighting, was won over 2,000 years ago by Jesus, after defeating Satan completely. In Christ Jesus we are redeemed because of the victory Jesus has given us. This is why we stand on the Solid Rock, who is Jesus, because in Him we have all things. But why is there a battle?

There is a battle because all those who are in Christ were taken from the kingdom darkness (Satan) to the kingdom of Christ Jesus, (ref.: Colossians 1:13). In other words, taken away from the kingdom of the first Adam to the kingdom of the last Adam [Jesus Christ]. And because we have been translated Spiritually, we need to train our minds of who we are now in Christ Jesus, thus, understanding our new life. And the more we understand our new life, the more we manifest Christ, who is our new life. Now, this is where the battle lies.

The devil, who has been defeated know that the moment we get to know who we are in Christ Jesus, he is done for, and would have no power over us through deceit, this is why he attacks us with lies and fear, and anything that would make us get distracted in building our Spirit Man. And lies and deceit are the only things he can do, because Jesus took all his powers from him, which wasn't his in the first place. So, how is this a battle to us?

Jesus said John 8:31-32, "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. ³²And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." It is with the understanding of the word of God, telling you who you are that you would then be able to identify the lies of the devil when he attacks, because his lies would contradict the truth. But Jesus said, it is the truth that would set us free. What did He mean?

When Jesus was tempted by the devil, it was the truth that Jesus used that set Him free, which is the word of God. We are to be like the children of Israel when they were rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem, everyone building had a sword by their side and were on the alert for any enemy who wanted to stop them. As we are building our Spirit Man, we are to be on the alert of the devil, and use our sword which is the word of God and the truth of who we are in Christ Jesus. This is the battle we face as Sons and Daughters of God. We are not fighting for victory, rather, we are fighting from victory. We are already standing firm on the Solid Rock [Christ Jesus], thus the battle is for us not to be distracted by the lies of the devil and fall off the truth we stand on.

The devil knows he has been defeated, but he doesn't want us to know that, he also doesn't want us to know the authority we have in Christ Jesus. The devil is a DEFEATED FOE, and we must remember that. Everything he attacks us with is a lie, and we will only know this by building our Spirit Man that prevents us from listening, not to talk of believing the lies of the devil, which most of all bring out the fullness of Christ. We are to build and fight!

Behind The Term "I am"

Happy Sunday everyone,

Yesterday, I explained how God gave children of God limitless powers beyond our imagination. You should also understand that having this ability implies you reasoning as God does because it is God Himself who takes over your Spirit who enters your mind when you allow Him. This is very important because as we use the limitless power it then helps us in our normal imagination. Our imagination then becomes a great boost to faith which affects our confessions.

Our confessions are words that should not be taken for granted. Every word we speak has a commanding force. As we know, every object is at a state of rest, for a thing to move from one place to another, there need to be a force moving the object in focus to another state of rest. And as Sons and Daughters in Christ, being filled in our spirit man (ref.: 1 Corinthians 2:16), we are expected to act like God and as we know, every word that comes out of God does not go and come back void, but accomplishes all that pleases Him (ref.: Isaiah 55:11). Why am I saying this? We are to pay attention to the words we use and the power and meaning of what we say.

My focus is on the use of the term “I am”. When we say something like “I am successful”, “I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus” and many other similar expressions, what we are saying is emphasising who God is as a person and who He is in our being. God told Moses He is “I am who I am”. He is known as the “I am”. The Jews got annoyed at Jesus when He said, “Before Abraham was, I am” (ref.: John 8:58)Even though it was used in a sentence, the Jews recognised the presence of the term “I am”.

“I am successful” implies “God is successful”, and understanding the grace God has given us makes us understand that God is our success and it makes those words come alive in our lives more than ever before. So, knowing who God is, makes our confessions come alive as we know that our Christ-like confessions express who God really is, and believing in this strengthens our trust in Christ and makes our confessions real in our lives! It’s so real because of His love for us and this is the gospel truth.

When Your Imagination Becomes Your Limitation

Happy Weekend everyone,

In actualising any form of creativity, there is always a mind work, which we call imagination. An architect for example, is expected to have an image of what he intends to design, without this the architect becomes stuck and nothing new is created. So, we know the importance of imagination. But have you ever considered your imagination becoming your limitation?

Let’s take a look at God; it is very easy to imagine a person who cannot die and lives forever, but it is so impossible to imagine someone who has no beginning! You think about it, your mind cannot comprehend it. This is how God is, He has no beginning and what He gives cannot be comprehended. The grace God has given us has neither beginning nor end. It is made clear in Ephesians 3:20 which says, “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us” Ephesians 3:20 NIV.

God made us understand that there is a level we need to be operating from, and we don't our imagination would become a limitation. The fact that you can imagine a thing still indicates that what is imagined is limited by how far your imagination can go. No matter who you are, there is a limit to how much you can imagine. So why don’t you tap into the powers of being limitless, that which your mind will never comprehend? This power comes from God and can only be achieved through us; this power is Jesus in our lives and this is what we get. God uses us as a medium in expressing His might and unlimited power.

It is allowing Christ free access in our lives that we see His unlimited power and authority at work. We have the fullness of Christ in us, but if we don't allow Him to function in our lives we would be limiting Him.

Our imagination limits us if we don't much about Christ. The more we know about Christ, the more limitless we become and we see Christ fullness become more manifested in and around us.

So, being a child of God means free access to the unlimited powers of God, in your homes, schools, work, businesses, health and so much more. And of course, the Holy Spirit is our guide on how to use this great power. This is made available to us because of God’s love for us and this is the gospel truth.

Are You Living or Existing?


Hello everyone,

Hmmmmn… you’re born, you go through primary, secondary school and then you go to the university. You get a good job, later acquire wealth probably through investment; you get married, have children, grow old, retire, have grandchildren probably have great-grandchildren and then go and see the Lord. This looks like a great life right? But is this what you were born for; to just repeat a routine of life and die? Nothing has been added!

Looking at the routine life, even if you choose to go to church and read the Bible regularly but end up following the same sequence of life you just existed, that’s all. Now, don’t get me wrong, going to school is wonderful; of course, if you didn’t school, you probably won’t know how to read, not to talk of writing. These, however, are the basic things to be learnt. My point here is for you to know the reason for your existence here on earth. There is a reason for your existence and it defers from another. It is not a routine created by man.

Jesus said in Matthew 5:13 “Let me tell you why you are here. You’re here to be salt-seasoning that brings out the God-flavors of this earth. If you lose your saltiness, how will people taste godliness? You’ve lost your usefulness and will end up in the garbage.” (Message). Ok, so our attitude is expected to reflect godliness, but let’s further look at the verses ahead, “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do men light a lamp and put it under a peck measure, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. Let your light so shine before men that they may see your moral excellence and your praiseworthy, noble, and good deeds and recognize and honour and praise and glorify your Father Who is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:14-16 AMP).

Our being salt and light is to reflect Jesus. As Jesus said He is the light of the world and those who follow Him shall have the light of life, (ref.: John 8:12), this light is the same light as that of Matthew 5, we are to reflect Him. This implies when we accept Jesus as Lord and receiving the Holy Spirit after this, the mystery about our life is then revealed as we remain in Him (ref.: Colossians 1:27). We are to live the will of God for our lives and it can only be gotten in Jesus Christ.

So, how can we do this? The Bible makes us understand that Christ is our life (ref.: Colossians 3:4). Therefore, our life itself should be Jesus personified every second of our life; that is being led by the Spirit at school, work or anywhere. People should notice the difference in the way you do things, and how successful you are, always portraying the fruit of the Spirit and would cause them to ask what you do differently from others. This is when you tell them how Jesus gave you a new life and He is your direction. This would cause them to praise God in heaven for such Grace He has given to men, and want to make Jesus Lord of their lives.

Your life should not be a rigid, religious way of doing things, like living your life and living Jesus’ life. You can’t mix the two; Christ is your life, you are breathing Him! All these are because of His love for us and this is the gospel truth.

A Closer Look at the Two Trees (Part 2)


Hi everyone,

In my last write-up, I identified what the two trees in the Garden of Eden represented. The tree of life represents Jesus Christ, as He is the Life, while the tree of the knowledge of good and evil represents the Law because it is only through the Law that you know what is good and evil, and the scriptures call it the ministry of death, (ref.: 2 Corinthians 3:7). But in many ways, we would justify having the knowledge of good and evil, because what could be wrong in knowing what is good or evil? After all, that is the way the world lives. But it is wrong to have the knowledge of good and evil, not making reference to the tree, [although, they all came from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil].

Many people have unknowingly tagged the tree of the knowledge of good and evil as the tree of the knowledge of evil. But no, it is the knowledge of good and evil, what could be wrong? We should understand that if Adam had eaten of the tree of life, he wouldn’t have had the knowledge of good and evil, so how would he have lived?

Jesus told His disciples in John 14:16 that when He goes back to His Father, He would send the Helper/ the Holy Spirit. And in John 14:26 Jesus also told them that the Holy Spirit Who is in the name of Jesus would teach us all things and bring all things to our remembrance. Why is this important?

This is important because Adam was just a living soul, but the last Adam [Jesus Christ] became a life-giving spirit (ref.: 1 Corinthians 15:45), which Adam would have become if he ate of the tree of life, but as he ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, he separated himself from life and had no direction.

The knowledge of good and evil is that which condemns and kills, and you’re not being led by the Holy Spirit, therefore, you don’t live your life within the plans and purposes of God for your life.

It still sounds strange to many, but the truth is that we are to be guided and led by the Holy Spirit in all that we do, and when I mean all, I mean all. Jesus said all that He does isn’t of His own accord, but that which He sees His Father do, that is what He does, (ref.: John 5:19; 14:10). And this is how we are to live! But we can live this way and experience a perfect life, thus, falling within the exact plan and purposes of God for your life, and it is by believing and accepting Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour.

Why is receiving Jesus as Lord very important? It is important because He is a new beginning different from where we came from—Adam. We kept on living a life of error because we are within a generation whose root started from the knowledge of good and evil. But, under the last Adam—Jesus, we have a brand new Spirit that is the same as Jesus/God, and every form of perfection is contained with Him [our new Spirit]. All we have to do is to know Who Jesus is more and more, believe in His finished works, and allow the Holy Spirit guide you as you see the finished works get manifested in your lives, a life of perfection, that which God Almighty has ordained for you. It is not a life where you choose using the knowledge of good and evil, but a brand new life where Life Himself guides your life even to the smallest things that we call irrelevant. This is the gospel truth.

A Closer Look at the Two Trees

Happy Weekend everyone,

There is a popular story at the beginning of the Bible, which of course is a true life story. This story is based on the first humans or we could say the first couple. The couple as we know is Adam and Eve. When created, God drew Adam’s attention to two trees (the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil). God told Adam “…of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.” (Genesis 2:16-17).

Many of us just read that part without really knowing that the trees actually symbolises something. These trees are not ordinary, in Genesis 3:6-7 it says “So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.” What was in the tree that changed the life of Adam and Eve? Let’s find out.

As I said earlier, those trees are not ordinary, they both symbolise something. When Jesus spoke in John 14:6, He didn’t say “I am a way, a truth, and a life. I am a medium to which you can come to the Father”. But naaah... what Jesus actually said is, “...I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” Note the emphasis on the term “The” and the word “no one”. It is clear to say that Jesus is the ONLY LIFE! Therefore, the tree of Life in the Garden of Eden was actually Jesus Christ Himself as a tree. Hmmmn... so what about the other tree?

Now, the only thing in the Bible that has a perfect resemblance to the tree of the knowledge of good and evil... it is the LAW! Only the law tells you what is good and evil. Let’s take a look at Romans 7:8 “But sin, taking opportunity by the commandment, produced in me all manner of evil desire. For apart from the law sin was dead”. Thus, apart from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, sin was dead in man. Also look at Romans 7:7, “What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said “You shall not covet”.”

Again, let’s look at 1st Corinthians 15:58, “The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law”. It is so evident to say the tree of the knowledge of good and evil represents the law. Note, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil wasn’t a bad tree. It was not called the tree of the knowledge of evil, but the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. But there is nothing wrong in knowing what is good and evil. That’s how Man lives in today’s world. But I tell you everything is wrong! The question now is to know why it is wrong to know what is good and what is evil.

Living The Will of God (Part 2)

Hi everyone,

Animal’s move where they want to, they just wake up every day and just do things that suit them; they do things using their instincts. This isn’t so for man; for us, we plan out our day and expect everything we do to fall into plan. Unlike animals, we don’t just wake up and move, we make choices and decisions which is very much different from the next man. But the point here is to know why we plan, because to plan implies creating assumptions which are prone to fail or succeed, like living a life of probability. Someone didn’t live His life this way, He knew exactly what would happen because He went ahead of the story and knew the exact step to take. The person is Jesus; Jesus didn’t plan the way we plan, He followed the plans or the Planner, that’s why He never made a single mistake through His entire life. Let’s find out how He did it.

Man plans his day using basic assumptions but he has no accurate certainty of the outcome. He does this following the trends that have continuously repeated itself, but the point here is that the day he intends to carry out his plan might be the day things change and what does he do? He goes back to his drawing board. This wasn’t the case for Jesus; you see I keep repeating this every time, Jesus didn’t do anything unless His Father who is God Almighty asked Him to do so. Let’s take a popular example; the temptation. Jesus had just finished fasting and was really hungry; it was quite obvious Jesus was far away from town or else the devil wouldn’t have tempted Him with food. The devil said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.” Matthew 4:3 (NKJV). First of all, Jesus didn’t have to prove anything because the truth is that doing that implies you weren’t sure of yourself and it’s a sign of weakness. A boy doesn’t need to undress to everyone before they know he is a boy, his life and attitude just prove it without him doing anything; let’s get back to the story.

Jesus answered him, “It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God” Matthew 4:4 (NKJV). What Jesus implied was that He follows no other instruction, not even His mind but only the Word of God; that sounds like huh???!!!. That’s how Jesus lived, but notice Jesus didn’t just reply the devil just like that, He replied him using the scriptures! Jesus was equipped with the scriptures which is; God’s word; this is a very key aspect in the life of Son or Daughter of God. Jesus lived like this all through His life and fulfilled what He was sent here on earth for without making a single mistake; this is because, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” and “In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths” Psalm 119:105 and Proverbs 3:6 respectively (NKJV).

The word of God is expected to be our eyes to see, we can’t see without the word. First of all, we are to meditate on the scriptures every day and then the Holy Spirit would interpret what was studied and guide us on how to live our lives. As you go by, it could happen that when someone asks you a question there could be the prompting of the Spirit to know the words to reply with. This happens in everything we do and ones it is the Spirit, He is never wrong. This is why people wonder how you get things done easily, it’s not magic, and it’s simply meditating on the scriptures and being led by the Holy Spirit.

You will live life with ease just as if you know exactly what would happen; well that’s true because the One whom you follow knows the end from the beginning. God loves us more than we could ever imagine, just trust Him. This is the Gospel truth.

Living The Will of God

Hello everyone,

Yesterday, we looked at what the will of God is, because many people feel their prayers are not answered which to them wasn’t done according to the will of God, going by what 1st John 5:14 says, which is “Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us”. But this scripture is often times misinterpreted by believers themselves. Today, I intend to present to you a less technical way of knowing the will of God.

I quoted several scriptures yesterday which I used to analyse the process at which believers would arrive at the will of God. True, the process started yesterday is right, but it could lead to self-confidence or self-righteousness which is what God doesn’t want. Now, what is the straight forward answer in knowing the will of God? Let’s take a look at Matthew 7:7.

Matthew 7:7 says, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you”. If you read verses 8 through to 11, Jesus explains to us that parents even with their evil mind cannot deny their children what is rightfully theirs. As He puts in verse 11 “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” Luke’s account of this in Luke 11:13 says “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!” Note, Matthew’s and Luke’s account. Matthew’s account says the Father will give “good things to those who ask Him!”

Luke’s account made us know what that “good thing” is. Luke says the Father will give the “Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”
What am I pointing out here? The only good thing God wants to give us is Himself! Through the Holy Spirit! What does this have to do with the will of God? It has everything to do with it. The moment you make Jesus Lord and owner of your life, the Holy Spirit is then given upon request or laying of hands. This makes everything easy. The will of God is not in the doing but in the following! Following who? The Holy Spirit!

The Holy Spirit who is now your: comforter, counselor, and helper (ref.: John 14:16) brings out Jesus who is now your life in everything you do (ref.: Colossians 3:4). Therefore, the Holy Spirit tells you when to study the WORD of God; when to pray; when to rejoice; when to give thanks and transforms you. It is not in what you do that makes you do the will of God, but you following Him is what makes you live the will of God. This is because there is no general way the Holy Spirit speaks to believers but there is a general goal which is bringing out the Christ in you!

The point here is not to check whether you remembered to pray or to rejoice or to give thank, the only thing is to listen to the word and follow. Following principles leads to a self-righteousness which leads to sin, which was why the law brought about sin in the first place, but if you just follow the Holy Spirit who abides in you forever, you will live and fulfill the will of God. Therefore, whatever you ask, seek and knock will be answered because you always ask according to His will! NO STRESS, JUST FOLLOW.

What is the Will of GOD?

What is the will of God? This is a question that comes on everyone’s mind especially believers. Well, if you want a straight forward answer, we could take a look at 1st Thessalonians 5:16-18 which says, “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” Three things were stated the scripture read which is: 1. Rejoice always, 2. Pray without ceasing and 3. In everything give thanks. It sounds very simple, right? Yes, it does, but no one just wakes up in the morning and rejoices always or prays without ceasing or gives thanks in everything. There must have been a propelling factor that caused these three to come to pass. What is this factor?

Romans 12:1 and 2, explains this. It says, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” These verses make 1st Thessalonians 5:16-18 clearer and how can it be achieved. One has to first of all present his body as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God. When this is done, there is the need to be transformed by the renewal of the mind which would make one not to conform to the patterns of the world. The mind renewal would lead the person to PROVE what the good, perfect and acceptable WILL of God is for one’s life. But again, how can one just present his body as a living sacrifice to God?

In order to present yourself as a living sacrifice, it has to do with you and what you stand for. According to Galatians 2:20 from the Amplified version, it says, “I have been crucified with Christ [in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ (the Messiah) lives in me; and the life I now live in the body I live by faith in (by adherence to and reliance on and complete trust in) the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself up for me.” This implies that once you’ve accepted Jesus as LORD and owner of your life, you are supposed to know that it is because of what Jesus did on the cross, He, taking your place and His resurrection that you are saved. (NOTE: IF YOU WEREN’T TOLD THIS, FIND A BELIEVER TO EXPLAIN IT TO YOU). Now after this, you are expected to adhere to, rely on and have complete trust in JESUS with the Holy Spirit in you whom God has sent, Who is now your life.

Now when this happens, this happens, the Holy Spirit enables you to present your body as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God. Then you get transformed by the renewal of your mind through the study of the Word of God, (ref.: 2nd Timothy 2:15). With this, the Holy Spirit who is in your counselor explains what the Word studied means, thus allowing the words of your mouth and the meditation of your heart become acceptable to God. And if what you always think about is His Word, naturally you then prove what the good and acceptable and perfect will of God is.
This is a vivid look at what really leads to knowing the will of God. The truth here is that all these stated above happens within split seconds, but it still appears technical right? Right!

Mysteries and not History

Hi everyone,

I'm a person who loves cartoons a lot, well... logical ones anyways. Why am I saying this? I watched a cartoon some time ago and an elderly man gave a saying, "yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift that is why it is called present". When I saw this, I marveled and was inspired by GOD through this quote which I would share with you.

There are things that limit how Man makes his decisions. Why am I saying this? When Man concludes on a thing, he uses the theory of the past to decide what would happen in the present. An example of this is water. Now, because two molecules of hydrogen and one molecule of oxygen gave water last year, last month, last week, yesterday, one could then conclude that the result of two molecules of hydrogen and one molecule of water will be water today.

In everything in life, Man bases his theories on what has happened earlier (the laws of thermodynamics, the law of gravity, etc). For me, this has been the reason for the failures of Man, because Man has based his theories on history [sounds weird right?]. They can't determine the future. The strategy used is wrong. They can't understand GOD that way, because GOD doesn't use history, instead, HE uses mystery. Take a look at all the miracles in the Bible from Genesis one to the parting of the red sea, the destruction of the wall of Jericho, the feeding of the five thousand, the raising of Lazarus, Jesus walking on water, etc. All these denied the theories created by man, therefore denying the use of historical theorems.

When you walk with GOD always expect the unexpected. But now as Sons and Daughters of GOD, we are supposed to know and understand these mysteries because the Bible says the things that have been a mystery to man have been revealed to us through the Holy Spirit (ref.: 1 Corinthians 2:10), and He lives in us. The things of GOD are full of mysteries, but we have CHRIST in us and also have HIS mind which is why we perform mysterious things when doing things.

In line with languages, speaking in tongues is referred to as speaking mysteries according to 1 Corinthians 14:2, because when we pray to GOD, we could be weak when we pray based our five senses. This is why Romans 8:26 says "likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God". Tongues are mysteries, which we cannot comprehend using our five senses. And as we speak in tongues we are building up our most holy faith, (ref.: Jude 1:20), thereby acting as CHRIST.

In conclusion, with the proper understanding of this, we now know why faith is very important in the life of a child of God, which is "the substance of things hoped for, the evidence not seen" (ref.: Hebrews 11:1). The substance hoped for is a mystery, in other words, we are to bring things to pass from mystery. We are meant to be unique and easily identified because we are to live by faith and not by sight, thus depending on the historical theories of man before we do anything. Man uses history to determine the present but Sons and Daughters of GOD through the Holy Spirit use mysteries to determine the present.

Don't Play Table Tennis With Your Life

Hi everyone,

Many of us want to see things happening for good in our lives, things such as financial turnaround, sound health, and other similar things. We often say more action less talk, right? True but for there to be a complete miracle, healing, breakthrough, spiritual and physical progress, good success, prosperity, divine favour, being planted by the rivers of waters, you need to believe and know what you have been given and believe and then receive what you have been given. You have to maintain a stand for what you have, you need to see it, why? Because it exists already, many of us are not patient, and we must remember that patience is among the fruit of the spirit. Patience is a very powerful tool which we must have and develop in our lives because faith works with patience.

We need to understand that what is synonymous with faith and fear is focus, but you can’t have both faith and fear at the same time. When we don’t see success easily but failures, is because to be focused on fear, you must doubt and when you doubt, you are not working with faith. You can’t sit on the fence, you are either for or against, in other words, you are either for the faith of for fear, which would imply that you either believe what has been given to you or you doubt it.

We are not to play table tennis in faith and fear, it is planting a seed and then removing it, and planting it again and then removing it, and we expect to see the result, we then cry to God for not helping you, where you were not helping yourself. The reason why we sometimes play table tennis with faith and fear is that in order to believe, you have to be creative, and creativity is what brings about something new, something no one has ever seen before. Of course, why would you doubt what you’ve seen before, it doesn’t make sense. You can only doubt what you’ve not seen before.

The Bible says the just or righteous shall live by faith, (ref.: Habakkuk 2:4), in other words, the just shall be creative, or better still, the just must be creative. Take a look at God in the creation story, He displayed creativity, (ref.: Genesis 1). Why this shouldn’t be a thing of surprise is that we serve a God of creativity, which is the authority He gave Christ in His resurrection, and it is the same authority we possess because we are joint heirs with Christ, and as He is so are we in this world, (ref.: Romans 8:17, 1 John 4:17).

God the Father knows all that we need, (ref.: Matthew 6:32), and to succeed in life you must have a focus and a stand, this brings out the creative authority of Christ in you, (ref.: Ephesians 3:20). And to strengthen us, we must remember that we serve a God who has provided all that we would ever need, as I said you’re just to stand on what you believe, because as Jesus told those He performed miracles with, He said, “…as you have believed, so let it be done for you.”

Your Questions and Your Focus

Hi everyone,

I’ve always had questions, upon questions about life, and I’ve tried to find out the answers by myself using my natural intellect. These questions include those that are spiritual, but the more I try to find the answers to my questions, the more I get confused. So, how do I get the answers to my questions? I’m sure many would think it is asking God for the answer. Well, that is kind of the answer, but there is more to it which we need to take note of, and that is my focus today.

With the challenges I faced, I prayed, but it appeared nothing really changed because I didn’t know that there is a strategy the devil is using to deceive the world, and these strategies are distractions, from what we are meant to focus on.

The Bible says in Hebrews 12:2a, “Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection].” The devil uses our challenges as distractions, and we try to figure out how to get out of the distractions, by focusing on the distractions. And the more we lose focus on what is key, we become more confused at finding the answer to our challenges, and we become preys of the devil. So what is key?

The answer is in Hebrews 12:2a—Jesus! Just the way, a full grown Lion is the peak of a cub, and a full-grown eagle is the peak of an eaglet, likewise, Jesus is the peak, the apex, the climax of every Son of God. He is the One we are to set and fix our eyes on. The more we look at Jesus, the more we find the answers to the questions that bother us, and the more we focus on Jesus, the less the devil has a hold on us through his distractions.

The more you gaze at perfection, the more you become the Perfection Himself. This is what faith is all about, believing and resting in the Grace given to us by God, and Grace is a person, His name is Jesus Christ.

His Grace Doesn't Mean Laziness


Happy Weekend everyone,

In my previous write-up, I explained that in many ways our lives appear as that of a bamboo tree in terms of seeing results. There are times we declare and we see the result immediately, but then again it doesn’t always happen because even though it has happened in the spirit realm, we need to connect with bringing it to the physical realm through meditation and confession of those things, just as we saw in the woman in the story I gave in the previous blog.

As we look at the act of meditation and confession, as the solution to our problems, even though it may take a while or not, we shouldn’t just think God has given us a lazy pattern of us not doing anything and expect manna to fall from heaven. In the woman’s case, all she had to do was to meditate and confess. But really, what did these [meditation and confession] do? It renewed her mind. She changed the way she saw her Son, and that was what allowed the supernatural to become physical. This is what happens in when we need to allow the finished work of Christ manifests in our physical bodies.

In my write-up on How To Use The Four Steps of Living, in Joshua 1 verse 8, I said in our meditation and confession of the word, we need to be close to the Holy Spirit who would help guide us in certain things we were doing wrong. For instance, a man has lung cancer and loves to smoke cigarette, but keeps asking God to save him from cancer. Alright, he tries to stop smoking, but he keeps taking so much fried food which isn’t helping but doesn’t know. It is in the confession that the Holy Spirit would guide the man in daily activities and the man would stop those things that caused lung cancer in the first place. This would allow the supernatural healing manifest in the physical.

It is not that the Lord needs us to work before He blesses us, but what He does is that we cannot serve two masters. You cannot declare the word of God into your life over certain things while you keep doing what caused the problem in the first place. This is where we need the Holy Spirit because it is not an act of human knowledge. The Holy Spirit knows where the sole is biting and goes straight to it by telling us what to do. So, He guides us on what to do.

You cannot just command manna to fall from heaven, at least the Holy Spirit would tell you to get your plate. Our work here is not like the old covenant where we have to sweat to get blessings. But here in the new covenant, what He asks us to do is to place things in order to receive the blessings He has ready for us, you can see that in the life Peter when he couldn’t get fish all night. Jesus asked him to get his nets, thus preparing him for the great harvest, but Peter got a net, and it couldn’t contain the blessing.

If it is your mind like the woman who had a drug addict for a Son, then it would be the mind that would need to be put in place to receive the blessings. Whatever the case may be, the Lord gets us ready to receive His abundant grace, so keep on meditating on the Word of God, confess it, and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. Then you would see the supernatural manifestation of the abundant grace of God.
