His Grace Doesn't Mean Laziness

Happy Weekend everyone,

In my previous write-up, I explained that in many ways our lives appear as that of a bamboo tree in terms of seeing results. There are times we declare and we see the result immediately, but then again it doesn’t always happen because even though it has happened in the spirit realm, we need to connect with bringing it to the physical realm through meditation and confession of those things, just as we saw in the woman in the story I gave in the previous blog.

As we look at the act of meditation and confession, as the solution to our problems, even though it may take a while or not, we shouldn’t just think God has given us a lazy pattern of us not doing anything and expect manna to fall from heaven. In the woman’s case, all she had to do was to meditate and confess. But really, what did these [meditation and confession] do? It renewed her mind. She changed the way she saw her Son, and that was what allowed the supernatural to become physical. This is what happens in when we need to allow the finished work of Christ manifests in our physical bodies.

In my write-up on How To Use The Four Steps of Living, in Joshua 1 verse 8, I said in our meditation and confession of the word, we need to be close to the Holy Spirit who would help guide us in certain things we were doing wrong. For instance, a man has lung cancer and loves to smoke cigarette, but keeps asking God to save him from cancer. Alright, he tries to stop smoking, but he keeps taking so much fried food which isn’t helping but doesn’t know. It is in the confession that the Holy Spirit would guide the man in daily activities and the man would stop those things that caused lung cancer in the first place. This would allow the supernatural healing manifest in the physical.

It is not that the Lord needs us to work before He blesses us, but what He does is that we cannot serve two masters. You cannot declare the word of God into your life over certain things while you keep doing what caused the problem in the first place. This is where we need the Holy Spirit because it is not an act of human knowledge. The Holy Spirit knows where the sole is biting and goes straight to it by telling us what to do. So, He guides us on what to do.

You cannot just command manna to fall from heaven, at least the Holy Spirit would tell you to get your plate. Our work here is not like the old covenant where we have to sweat to get blessings. But here in the new covenant, what He asks us to do is to place things in order to receive the blessings He has ready for us, you can see that in the life Peter when he couldn’t get fish all night. Jesus asked him to get his nets, thus preparing him for the great harvest, but Peter got a net, and it couldn’t contain the blessing.

If it is your mind like the woman who had a drug addict for a Son, then it would be the mind that would need to be put in place to receive the blessings. Whatever the case may be, the Lord gets us ready to receive His abundant grace, so keep on meditating on the Word of God, confess it, and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. Then you would see the supernatural manifestation of the abundant grace of God.

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
