Struggles and Rest

Hello everyone,

Man today is a person of struggle. We struggle to eat, drink, get clothing, go to work, have shelter, get married, and much more. Virtually everything we do involves struggle, and it doesn’t mean that Man is always right in the struggles he takes, and in many cases is wrong and as a result of this, he struggles again to correct his errors, because his errors are causing damage to the world. With all these, it doesn’t necessarily mean that he would succeed in correcting his errors.

As a result of all the struggles of Man, all manner of wrong living has evolved on the earth such as fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry, anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of the mouth, jealousies, crime and much more. The question now is why is Man not able to put a proper structure in the way he lives which also means, why hasn’t the world become any better despite all the struggles Man has put in correcting his errors? The answer is simple which is that the earth was created in perfection with perfect principles governing them, only with these perfect principles will Man live at peace, without the struggle, and in rest. Another question now is, how can Man attain this? Let’s find out.

Genesis 1:31a says, “Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good.” Someone created this earth and that person is God our heavenly Father. He created this earth in such perfection with principles governing and guiding the earth to function. Genesis 2:2-3 says, “And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.” What does this mean? It means God had completed everything He intends to do and there is nothing left to add. He had dotted the ‘I’s’ and crossed the ‘T’s’, He rested in His finished work, not that God was tired and had rest, no, it means everything was ready for action, just flow with it, there is nothing else to do, just follow every guide of what is completed, and the good thing is that operating this way brings blessing because God Himself blessed this day or way of living.

With the way God created the earth, nothing is meant to go or function outside of the principles He placed in His creation. In other words, if anything should function outside how it was meant to function, it would bring chaos upon itself, and this is what Man got himself into when he decided to do things by himself by eating of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. As Man ate of that fruit, it was Man sort of saying he was a big boy, thus, he could do things by himself. In other words, he makes the rules now. But look around you, has the decision of Man brought any form of sanity to the world? It hasn’t! Which is why Man has no other choice but to return to their creator, thus going by the principles He laid down on how to live.

Going back to God or following His principles doesn’t mean obeying the Ten Commandments and living a moral life and all those religious kinds of stuff, no! All that God wants us from us is to Rest In His REST!
Log on tomorrow as I explain how God wants us to transform the world by resting in His REST in Christ Jesus.

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!

Log on next time.
