It is About Others and Not About You

Hello everyone,

Everyone wants a great life, where you have enough money to do anything, no debt on your head, good health, landed properties and others. We want that fame, respect from people, so that anywhere we go we are well recognised. For Sons of God, many would expect that as they received Christ into their lives everything turns to their favour, don’t get me wrong, something extraordinary happened to everyone who received Christ which is to their favour, but what they feel is that they are still like everybody else, what makes them different is that they start getting promotion when they pray, they receive good health when they are praying for healing, and other things, is this wrong? The point I’m trying to point out is that everyone thinks about themselves a lot and think less of others. Today, my write-up is channeled to the Sons of God, those who the world call born again Christians.

As Sons of God, do you know what you got when you received Christ as Lord of your life? Many would know, but are you conscious of it as you go about your daily duties? The point here is that the life the old Adam left was a life of how to survive, which is completely different from the life of the last Adam—Christ left. As Sons of God, you do not do things to survive, in other words, we wake up very early in the morning to beat traffic in order not to get late for our 9-5 work, which we must go for, or else there won’t be food on the table. This mentality is called the slavery mentality. I’m not saying at all that you shouldn’t work or you shouldn’t wake up early in the morning to beat traffic, what I’m saying is for you to know that as Sons of God, you are not working to survive, the fear of not getting food on the table if we don’t work shouldn’t be our drive, our drive shouldn’t be about ourselves, but about others.

To be conscious of who you bring out the true you in you, which was received when Christ became your life. Now, does your son or daughter need to work before you as a parent give them food, clothing, shelter, and the basic things in life? The answer is no. We forget that we are now Sons of God, and God is our Father and has blessed us with all Spiritual blessings, which as we transform our minds affect our physical being. Our approach should be to understand that you have gotten everything you need, then our focus should be on transforming the lives of others with the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Wherever you’re working, your purpose here on earth is not about having a great life [which you received in Christ Jesus], rather our focus should be on transforming the lives others. We shouldn’t go to church and give a lot of testimonies of how you were promoted at work or something about you, rather our testimonies should more of how people’s lives have been transformed by God through you or others. As Sons of God, you don’t and cannot lack anything because to lack means Christ is lacking, because remember as He is so are you in this world, (ref.: 1 John 4:17), and it would also mean that God our Father cannot take good care of us, which would also make Him out to be a liar because Jesus said if we who are evil know how to give good things to our children, how much more our heavenly Father who would give good things to His children who asks Him, (ref.: Matthew 7:9-11).

Matthew 7:12a says, “Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them”, this was that Jesus came to establish as we spread the good news about His love for mankind and what He has done for us, but when you don’t live the life you were called to live, would those who haven’t received Christ listen to you? Think about it.

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
