Stop Asking For What You Have Been Given (Part 2)

Happy Sunday everyone,

Two days ago, I wrote on Ephesians 3:20 and therefore explaining how the fullness of God dwells in us and how there are things which aren’t God business anymore because He has answered our prayers. Today is the continuation of the write-up of two days ago.

Ephesians 3:20 says, “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think [imagine: NIV; request in your wildest dreams: MESSAGE], according to the power that works in us.” the ability for God to do things beyond our imagination lies in us, which implies that God has fully expressed Himself in us, it is left for us to express that fullness here on earth. In other words, if we could measure the power of God by saying His fullness is 100%, we are meant to express the 100% also, but what we express is an insignificant percentage of His fullness.

When you logically analyse what God has told you to do, or what He said He can do through you, the tendency to perform below expectation arises, the reason is that to logically analyse is to think with your senses, and your senses are very limited. In one of my write-up, I said, there are so many senses, only five was given to man, this is why we cannot perceive things beyond our imagination. Our imagination seems crazy enough, but to go beyond it cannot be expressed with words.

To trust God is not a day’s job, it takes a consistent renewal of the mind, because the mind before we received Christ is completely not in alignment with the new Spirit, and the world isn’t helping either as they spread the message of doubt, fear, and unbelief. This is why an intense study and meditation and resting on the word of God is very important.

We can do all things, it is just by believing. Jesus said in Matthew 11:28-30, 28 Come to Me, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Drop everything, and follow only the Jesus through the word of God, directed by the Holy Spirit. The issue is not about God not answering your prayers, the issue is about you not believing. Now that you know God can do what man considers as impossible through you, do not logically try to comprehend it like Zacharias, who after his prayers for a son could believe when the Angel gave him the good news because it wasn’t logically accurate, rather be like Mary the Mother of our Lord Jesus who simply said, “Let it be to me according to your word.” Luke 1:38. It may look impossible, but if that is your goal and you work towards it, it is not by your power that it would be done, but by the Holy Spirit living inside of you.

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
