Is The Term 'Born Again' Just A Cliché? (Part 2)

Hello everyone,

Yesterday, I was explaining what being born again really mean. Actually, it was a way of giving the real definition of what being born again truly, so that when you hear someone say the term ‘born again’, you would understand and could check if the person is just using it as a cliché or living the real thing.

Today, I said I would explain how to properly utilise the power of Jesus, but before that, I need to give a break down on some things I said yesterday, which was kind a preamble to the main things I would discuss today.

So, yesterday I said Jesus is the one who provides the new life which one would take up and become born again. Yes, it would literarily mean to be born again, not physically, but spiritually. Just a quick one, the human being is a combination of three forms which are: the Spirit, the soul (mind, will and emotion) and body. The Spirit really is the commanding officer which the soul takes orders from, but all the way from Genesis 3, as Adam ate of the wrong tree, he corrupted that Spirit, kind of like he had a virus of which everyone who is born of him would have this virus, and that’s how we got here with so much strife and pain in the world. Jesus, on the other hand, was the only one who was the man without the virus, why? This is because His Spirit source was not from but directly from God.

This is why Jesus came, to redeem mankind back to God. Which He did by dying on the cross and rising from the dead in order to take back the authority which was taken away from Adam in Genesis when He fell. Note this, the authority Adam had was complete control over the earth, and when I mean control I mean, everything was working for his good, nothing went against his will because he was in charge. This was what Jesus went to redeem, but because of His excellent job at fulfilling His task perfectly, God not only gave Him all authority over the earth, but also all authority over heaven, and under the earth (those dead and buried long again). At the name of Jesus, everything that has life in it, bows to His authority [ref. Philippians 2:8-9].

The popular John 3:16 and 18 say, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life…He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” The world is lost, full of problems and needs help, and Jesus has come with that help. All you have to do is just trust Him, in other words, believe Him completely as Lord over your life. When you do that, your old spirit ceases to exist and He puts His own Spirit to replace the old, therefore, you now have the exact authority Jesus has.

So, as you study the bible which talks about who Jesus is, you are talking about yourself. All you got to do is just believe without any doubt that you also have these same abilities (in plain terms). But it takes everyday practice, Romans 12:2 in the Amplified version says, “Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and is new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].”

Every time you are to remind yourself of who you are now, in the new and real born again spirit. You are health, wealth, life at its fullness. But how do you know what to command and what not to command, and who is going to guide you in your Spiritual growth? There is someone Jesus spoke of, He is our comforter, counsellor, helper, guardian and much more.

I’m not done but next time I’ll explain how the Holy Spirit helps you fully utilise the born again abilities.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
