Happy New Week,
Sometimes, people roll their eyes when I say Jesus is the Lord of all, and without Him, we can do nothing. Well, this comes when people are looking for a solution to their business problems or economic problem. They feel God isn’t the person you run to when you need strategies to overtake terrorists. Well, today I’ll tell you of the nation who didn’t look unto to God for strategies, and how they turned out.
The nation is quite obvious—Israel! From the very beginning of their Exodus, God showed to the world how important it was to depend on Him in fighting their battles through Moses. One man who was unarmed, a shepherd holding his rod came alone to release a whole nation of over 6 million plus from the hands of the most powerful nation in the world then—Egypt. The Israelites were slaves, and the King then wasn’t ready to release the slaves, so, kicking Moses out would have been very easy right? Wrong. Moses alone brought out the children of Israel, after defeating the Egyptians army alone, just by him following simple instructions from God Himself. But that’s not where I’m heading.
There was no battle the children of Israel fought that they didn’t win, as long as they followed the instructions of the Lord God. Any battle they lost was as a result of their negligence on not following the Lord. In other words, when God wasn’t in the picture, life was miserable for them.
The children of Israel would have been the most feared nation in the world till this time without being conquered by anyone if and only if they had been faithful to the obedience of God. Yes, their military today is powerful, but it cannot be compared to the days of the scriptures. They seem powerful just because of the covenant God had with Abraham their father. Where am I driving at?
There is nothing that as irrelevant to God when you place it before Him. For instance, if you have a business, and you’re in a fix, or a country is in recession, and needs to get out; attacked by terrorist; need the wisdom to run a government and so on and so forth? The only One who knows these things more than you is Jesus. And only when you allow Him to live in you, by making Him your life that you would have His mind and be directed by Him through the Holy Spirit that you would know what you are called to do, and how to do it. And whatever situation you are facing, He alone will give you the wisdom to handle the troubles.
Jesus is the way maker, the chain breaker, the miracle worker, He the all in all, and only when you make Him your 'all in all' that you then see Him working through you. Walking with God through Jesus enables you to make Jesus practical and not Spiritual alone. Sons of God are to display God’s power everywhere they go to transform the world. This is the time.
May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.
Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
