Be Wise This New Year

Hello everyone,

I have a lot of plans for this year 2019, wow, and they have to be accomplished. As I said yesterday, I have to pay attention to the little seconds and utilise them properly and effectively, which would eventually lead to my successful year. But as I looked into my plans, Proverbs 16:9 caught my attention, which says, “A man’s mind plans his ways, but the Lord directs his steps and makes them sure.” The Amplified Bible. Using my Amplified Bible, three other verses in line with Proverbs 16:9 were given, and on these four verses, my plans for the year have been established.

There is nothing you would do that can ever be perfect if it doesn’t pass through the One who brought you to this earth, [not your mum], God! Psalm 37:23 says, “The steps of a [good] man are directed and established by the Lord when He delights in his way [and He busies Himself with his every step].” The Amplified Bible. The man who places trust in God has his steps guided by God. We often speak of open doors, but you can open a door that God hasn’t opened, neither can you shut the door that God has opened.

There is one thing to know if a door is opened or closed, and there is another thing to locate the door. Once God isn’t directing your path, you won’t know the right steps to take. Many of us believe in hustling, but how much productivity do we make when we hustle? Yes, many claims they got to their destination through hustling, but one thing is certain, you would have gotten to a much better destination faster and easier than how you hustled through the leading of the Holy Spirit.

We must understand that we never chose when to come to this earth, neither did we choose to where we would be born into, which implies that someone did the thinking for you. God told Jeremiah that before he was formed in his mother’s womb He chose him. This is to show that God is One who sent us here for a purpose, and He alone has the plans, and when we yield ourselves to Him, we get to know His plans for us, especially for this year 2019, and then He directs our paths.

God knows all things, nothing appears to Him as a surprise so He would not lead us to closed doors, only open doors. So, why struggle it out with your own strategies which don’t know the very next second, and could fail because there is no certainty? Rather walk with the One who designed your path and who designed you, the One who opens doors that no one can close, and closes doors no one can open. Be wise this new year.

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

                    

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
