His Promises Supersedes Our Challenges

Hello everyone,

We all face challenges in our lives, but even with these challenges, there is a perfect life God has for our future. The children of Israel went through a hardship when they were held captive and taken to Babylon. But the Lord through Prophet Jeremiah said in Jeremiah 29:10-11 that “For thus said the LORD: After seventy years are completed at Babylon, I will visit you and perform My good word toward you, and cause you to return to this place. 11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” This plan God had for Israel also affects us, as our challenges came about from the way the world was reshaped after the fall of man. But God has an original plan for every one of us, and as we yield to Him we get to know and understand the plans and purposes God has for our lives. So, what does that have to do with the challenges we face?

We have a future, and the mistake many of us make is that we tend to use the challenges we face at present to anticipate our future. And one thing is clear, our words have the power to affect our lives and what we face. The only way we would get out of these challenges is to focus on God’s promises for us, which are in line with His plans and purposes for our lives, this is how we see our challenges move away.

Jesus said in Matthew 6:34 that we shouldn’t worry about tomorrow but be focused on today because today has enough problems of its own. But the challenges we face don’t make us worry about today alone, it makes us worry about our tomorrow, and this is what Jesus doesn’t want us to do.

We are to focus only on the promises God has for us, though they may seem impossible to believe at first, but when you get to know who made the promise, the One who is the Truth, the One who knows the end from the beginning, and when we meditate on His words, our trust in Him increases and we focus and believe in His promises, and then we see our challenges fade away eventually.

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
