Happy New Week everyone,
When a question is posed, we often times give answers based on assumptions on what we feel the questionnaire is expecting from us, which seems normal. But we unknowingly prevent certain things from coming our way when we give our answer. Let me go through a story and you’ll find out why.
In John chapter 5, Jesus met a man who had had an infirmity for thirty-eight years. “When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?”” Now, Jesus had asked the sick man if he wanted to be made well, but the sick man’s response wasn’t what I expected. “The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.””
We often limit ourselves with the way we answer questions. The sick man had concluded that the only way to get his healing was to be pushed into the pool after it being stirred by the angel, but that wasn’t Jesus was driving at. What Jesus did was to throw him an open cheque, but the sick man limited himself with his answer.
When walking with God you must not limit yourself with your knowledge and wisdom, which is full of limitation which could stand in your way. This is because with Man many things are impossible, but with God, all things are possible. So, open up your heart and mind to God who is always right and never wrong. Once an open cheque is given, do not expect things to go with your status quo, because that, which is beyond your wildest dreams are what Jesus would give to you, so don’t limit yourself by limiting God.
May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.
Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
