The Words of God are not Ordinary Words (Part 2)

Happy new week everyone,

I explained yesterday, how the Word of God is no ordinary word, it is alive and living. Today is a continuation from yesterday.

As we dwell and fix our mind with God more and more we get to know what our perfect will is and in order to put it to use, we need to speak it. Now the words which we speak as our perfect will are not ordinary words, they are words of faith, which are the words of God. Hebrews 4:12 says, “For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energising, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analysing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.

The word of God is alive, it is living, just like you and I, this implies that as we speak the word, it does exactly what we declare. As Hebrews 4:12 of the Amplified version puts it, “…the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energising, and effective]…” The also implies that the Word that God speaks makes what it is directed at active, operative, energising and effective. In other words, the Word of God has the power to give life to what it has been directed to.

Just like in programming in computer language, a machine using software is able to move and carry out things because it has been programmed to do so. This can be said of the Word of God, it is like a program, and whatever it is directed at does whatever it says. An example of the Word of God as likened to a programming language is in Genesis 1. All that God did were just through His Word, and everything that the Word was directed at obeyed the Word, just as a machine would obey the computer program.

The Word of God as I said are not mere words, it is alive and living, which has the power to go into the deepest part of our being, sifting, exposing, analysing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart, which the ordinary words of man can never achieve.

As I said earlier, as you spend time with meditating on the word of God, the word refreshes you as it goes down into the deepest part of your soul, cleansing you from every impurity. As you keep doing this, you eventually come to know and understand the perfect will of God for your life. The reason why you then understand the perfect will of God for your life at this point is that to understand the perfect will of God is not to think with the carnal mind. You need to think as God thinks, which enables you to comprehend what the perfect will of God is for your life.

Still, under the second question of how words apply to all these, I intend to explain how to put the perfect will of God to use, log on tomorrow to find that out

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!

Log on next time.
