He Always Had Us In Mind

Happy new week everyone,

You must have heard people say they found Christ, something like, “When I found Christ, my life change.” But no one found Christ, Christ not only found us, He chose us. John 15:16 says, “You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.” Christ chose us, but some may say, Christ only called the elected ones, but that’s not true.

Romans 1:20 says, “For since the creation of the world His invisible attribute are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse.” God has called everyone but it is not everyone who responds to the call. John 1:12 says, “But to as many as did receive and welcome Him [Jesus], He gave the authority (power, privilege, right) to become the children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name.” We have to understand that God had us in mind from the very beginning.

To those who received Christ now fall into the plans God had for man or the person in particular, for Ephesians 1:5 says, “…having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.” With all these, verse 11 of Ephesians 1 went further to say, “In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory.” And how do we be the praise of His glory? By being the salt and light of the world [Matthew 5:13-16].

Every day the Holy Spirit keeps calling those who are not saved and keeps guiding those who are saved. We don’t have a Father who doesn’t care about us, on the contrary, we have a Father who cares and loves us more than we could ever imagine. All we have to do is to tap into knowing and understanding Him.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
