Knowing The Creator of Words

It’s weekend again,

Yesterday, in addressing the first question at the end of blog two days ago, which was: How does a person get to know the One who knows the perfect will for his/her life? I decided to quote Romans 12:1 and 2, using the Message Bible version. I did that yesterday so that you could meditate on the verses even if you knew them. You see, there is one thing to know something, and there is another thing to really KNOW something, and it was the latter I wanted to achieve yesterday.

As I said yesterday, I will use the Romans 12:1-2 as my foundation in addressing the questions I wrote two days ago. To know a person, you need to study the biography of the person or hear the person talk about himself. In getting to know the One who knows the perfect will for your life, you need to know first of all that the person is God, which most of us know already. To know God is to have someone tell you about Him, study His biography [through scriptures] and allow Him to live inside of you, and for Him to live inside of you is only through Jesus.

Now, for God to live in you is to receive the Holy Spirit. Many of us expect God to just control us like a robot, which is directing us to the right path just like that, that’s not true. For God to direct our path, we need to ask Him what His will for us is, especially with Him being our creator. We don’t have a creator who addresses us one way, instead, we have a creator who is ready to come down to your level to dialogue with you. We are to ask Him whatever we want to ask. He then would answer your questions, and in this case, tell you what the perfect will for your life in which He designed for you.

To have constant talks with God, we are to allow Him to take charge of our lives because He knows the end from the beginning and He is your creator who knows more than you do. This act of Him taking charge of your life is an offering before Him. You should also know that you can only focus on one thing at a time, so you either focus on your five senses, which is the way of the world, or you focus on God your creator. As you choose to fix your attention on God, you change from inside out as God Himself guides your every move, through the Holy Spirit, for Psalms 119:105 says, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Also Psalms 91:3 says, “For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease.” NLT. Proverbs 3:5-6 also says, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” There are several scriptures that assures us of great benefits when we trust God.

To trust God is an act of faith because, what He would tell you to do doesn’t correspond with what the five senses are receiving, in other words, it doesn’t correspond with the situation on ground, and most times doesn’t make sense. But why was it said in the first place, it can’t be a lie because God cannot lie? [ref. Numbers 23:19]. So, if God said it, it means the process of carrying out the perfect will for your life exist, but you need to see it with faith.

Now, as I have explained before, the faith exercised by those born of Christ is not their personal faith, but the faith of Christ Himself. Of course, that appears logical because if it were your faith, it won’t be called faith in the first place because it could be analysed easily by yourself. But as you fix your attention on God, you allow the God in you to operate by speaking those things which you wouldn’t have spoken ordinarily [ref. Romans 8:26]. The words you speak are not yours, which is why you require faith because if they came from you, you won’t require faith.

In order to operate through the perfect will of God through faith and your words, you need to believe, know and understand the creator of words itself. This leads to the second question: How do words fit into all these? Log on tomorrow as I look into the answer to this question.

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!

Log on next time.
