The Words of God are not Ordinary Words

Happy Sunday everyone,

Last time I wrote on the importance of knowing who our creator is because He is the one who would let us know what our perfect will is. I also explained that to know Him is to allow Him to dwell in us, and by Him doing that we get to see Him direct us in our everyday life which in turn we get to know what our perfect will is. To live the perfect will is to speak the perfect will, this was why I said in order to know who the creator of words is, which then led to the second question which is: How do words fit into all these? This I would discuss today.

I said last time that the faith we profess as one who is born of Christ is that of Christ and not ours because if they came from us, it won’t be called faith again, it would just be head knowledge which could easily be understood by anyone on the street.

However, as we dwell and fix our mind with God more and more we get to know what our perfect will is and in order to put it to use, we need to speak it. Now the words which we speak as our perfect will are not ordinary words, they are words of faith, which are the words of God. Hebrews 4:12 says, “For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energising, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analysing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.

The word of God is not just like ordinary words, to properly delve in knowing the power of the words of faith, log on tomorrow.

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!

Log on next time.
