Just as a Soldier

Hi everyone,

I respect the military for their hard work. Their officers are trained to be alert and focused, they are also trained to observe the strategies to their opponent so as not to be taken unaware. Just as we have military officers here on earth tackling physical forces, so also do we have the Sons of God who are to be alert and watchful just as the soldiers but not tackling physical forces, instead, spiritual forces.

Ephesians 6 talks about our spiritual warfare what we wrestle against and the armour of God which we are to put on. I explained before that what we wrestle against is the lies and deceit of the devil and what we are to do is to maintain all that Jesus died and resurrected to obtain for us. When you take a look at Revelation 12:11, it talks of the accuser of the brethren-the devil, who keeps bringing before God charges against us day and night. But verse 11 speaks on how we make use of the armour of God at a closer view, it says, “And they have overcome (conquered) him [the devil] by means of the blood of the Lamb and by the utterance of the their testimony, for they did not love and cling to life even when faced with death [holding their lives cheap till they had to die for their witnessing].”

As I said, we have to overcome the devil’s schemes through maintaining what Jesus died and resurrected to obtain for us, and this is overcoming through the blood of the Lamb. The blood of the Lamb [Jesus] gave us victory as it washed off all our iniquities, which God Himself said He would by no means remember [ref.: Isaiah 43:25; Hebrews 8:12]; the armour of God fully explains how what the blood has done and how the devil’s accusations cannot stand.

With all these, what is very important is not just to stop at the stop at speaking at what Jesus had done on the cross, but we are to move ahead by giving a testimony of the power and authority of the finished work of Jesus in your life and how it has used, and the victories putting the devil to shame more and more.

The deception of the devil has caused a lot disunity and lack of trust among ourselves and the lack of focus from Jesus. This is not the end, log on next time as I continue from where I stopped today.

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!

Log on next time.
