Are You Full or Half Full (Part 2)

Hello everyone,

Yesterday, I wondered why we keep experiencing things in our lives which we do not want and which Jesus of Nazareth would have resolved within seconds not to talk about the resurrected Jesus. I explained how we’ve not fully known who our true Father is, the one Jesus recognised at an early age while here on earth. So, today is a continuation from yesterday.

Jesus was complete in God His Father who is our Father, everyone here on earth, it is just for us to accept Him, this is what makes us Believers because He inputs in us His spirit and we become joined with Jesus Christ who is our head and our life [ref. Colossians 3:4]. So why can’t we act as Jesus does because the Bible says as Christ is, so are we in this world? [ref. 1 John 4:17]

The answer is still simple, apart from the truth that we haven’t yet properly understood who our Father really is, when know, we don’t believe; unbelief is a very strong hindrance that prevents us from using the authority of Christ in us. And what else could cause this? Pride! Now pride here is not the way the world often look at it. When Jesus says He has qualified and made us fit to share the portion which is the inheritance of the saints (God’s holy people) in the Light and we insist that it is not possible for us to be with Him and that we are so miserable and deserve the suffering, then that is pride. When God is telling you to cast all your burdens upon Him, but you say you prefer to carry it, this is pride. And what does the scripture say about the proud? God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble [ref. Proverbs 3:34, James 4:6, 1 Peter 5:5]. Then the humble are those who cast their burdens upon Jesus and allowing Him to work through us.

Jesus wasn’t half full, He was completely full of God that is, being one with Him. There was no room for doubt in Him at all. Many of us are half full or still have some space left when we speak over a certain situation and we wonder why nothing happens, it is because of the space! And what is in that space? The space is doubt, worry, fear, and things like what if it doesn’t work or something like that. Jesus told His disciples to, first of all, have faith in God, that is, to rely and trust God completely, then as He continued in Mark 11:23 which says, “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.”

What Jesus said has nothing to do with how long you read your Bible that day, but to just have faith in God and declare according to what you believe; although the essence of studying the Bible is to know more about God and what He has given to us through Jesus Christ, this is what we believe and upon our faith on Jesus and NOT our strength, we see God’s glory in everything we do. Have that full confidence in God, remember it is not about your strength, but about His strength. The truth here is the more we know about the authority of Christ has, the more we see Him manifest Himself through us. We should become one with God who already dwells in every Believer and to those who aren’t Believers it is as simple as taking the confession at the end of this blog with sincerity.

We need to constantly meditate on the word every day to remind who our true Father is and not to live a half full life but a full life in Christ.

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
