Your Life Is Hidden With Christ?

Happy weekend everyone,

Today is sort of like a continuation from yesterday but with a different topic. Today I would take a look at what happens inside of man when he becomes born again and what he is supposed to do. Let’s take a look at a verse in the Bible I enjoy reading which is, Colossians 3:3 which says, “For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.” This verse is very powerful and I intend to take a closer look at it.

Man is divided into three parts which are; the spirit, the soul, and the body. The spirit is the deciding principle on whose side you’re on, the soul where the mind, the will, and the emotions lie had been corrupted by the previous spirit. The body just follows wherever the soul leads, so it is important the soul gets the right detail. Now, what does it mean to die when you become born again? It means the presence of a new spirit coming into you which in this case is the spirit of Jesus. So, how does He rule in your life because man still has free moral agency?

Jesus was given total authority over the heavens, earth and under the earth, which implies He is Prime ruler over everything and has decided to live in you. You on your own do not have any authority until you do what Apostle Peter said in 1 Peter 5:6-7 which says, “Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time…” and how is this done? It is done by “…casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” Jesus is in charge not you, but He has chosen to live in you and as you have accepted Him. To accept Him implies that you ready to hand over the keys of your life to Him to take charge.

At the time you hand over the keys of your life to Jesus, what you are saying is that it is His will and not yours anymore by casting all your burdens upon Him. At this stage, your life is now hidden with Him. When people see you, they see Christ’s manifestation because you decide not to interfere. At the beginning when the Holy Spirit wants you to go a certain way, because of the dirty mind which is still “transformed” you may want to interfere. But as you decide to allow Jesus take charge, He leads the way and gradually your soul understands His ways as the right ways and more and more you manifest Christ in every doing with nothing holding back and by nothing I mean you interfering.

Allowing Jesus to be in charge of your life is to actually allow Him to have His way and you stop interfering.

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!

Why Grace Is Not a Licence to Sin (Part 3)

Hello everyone,

Today is a continuation from yesterday’s blog.

Romans 6:12-14 says, “Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.” As a member of the body of Christ, you are to allow the new life take over. The reason why you still find a person who has the new life acting as one who has a sinful life is just because of ignorance and lack of understanding.

The truth is that many who has the new life think they would live the life of God by their strength, and that is where they get it wrong. The spirit-man of the person is that which is changed when you become born again, but the consciousness, the mind, will and emotions are still the same and these had earlier been polluted by the previous spirit in the person. So, it is left for the person to recognise the presence of God in Him. It is only in Him that you would display the new life and this what the Holy Spirit is meant for.

An eagle won’t know it is an eagle until it is informed that it is an eagle and it can fly. This is the same way of a born-again person. This was what Apostle Paul was talking about in Romans 6 saying those who are now in Christ should not live as members of unrighteousness. The whole thing is like one who does plastic surgery to look like another race. He may look like a different race, but that doesn’t make him that race, in reality, this is how those of the old life behave. But those who are born again are those who died and was born again with a new body from another race and behaviour. This is how a born again person is. So Paul is saying that those who are born again should not behave as those of another race that is not them.

The new life is a life that doesn’t need anyone to tell them which way to go or being bound by rules and laws, it is because the right way to go is inborn. When talking about the new covenant which is the life of grace or the born again in Hebrews 8:11, it says, “None of them shall teach his neighbour, and none his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them.” so, having this new life, it is not because there is no law that you do right, but because it is your nature, which is the nature of God. And the Holy Spirit is there to guide you all through by showing you the way to go and lead you into all truth. Grace is not a licence to sin because you have a new life which is the life of God.

Why Grace Is Not a Licence to Sin (Part 2)

Hi everyone,

Yesterday, I wasn’t able to answer the main question in relation to the title which was “Why Grace Is Not a Licence to Sin”. I explained what legalism is and how it came about and how that was not the original design of the world, so there is a new dimension of grace which God is offering which is a new life above laws, rules, legalism and so on. So, today is the part two and I would address the question.

I explained yesterday that we were put under laws and rules here on earth, even God gave laws at a point to the children of Israel all just because they were living a life of no control. In simple terms, the world is as a blind man who would bump into things but need a guide, this was what the law did. However, the law is like rules given to children who do not know the importance of things like washing their mouth in the morning, eating vegetables and so on, it was a school teacher and this was what Paul the Apostle meant in Galatians 3:24-26 which says, “Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor. For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.”

The new dispensation by God in order to save man is a life of Grace which one can only claim through faith. Using my previous illustration about the child, you’ll find out that as the child matures, there is an understanding as to why all those things were said when they were younger and they won’t need any rule or regulation to tell them why they have to wash their mouth in the morning or eat vegetables, why? It is because they have it in their heart and it is their way of life naturally, they are not compelled, this is the same with grace.

Many have abused the word grace as a freedom to commit sin, but those who do that did not understand grace in the first place, why? This is because it is only through faith that you receive the grace given to us by God.

What we must understand is that the moment you receive Christ as Lord, you receive the grace which includes a brand new spirit, one which doesn’t need the law to compel a person to know the right thing to do. It is a life that has the God kind of life inbuilt in that person, so the person lives the God-life everywhere he/she goes.

Romans 6:1-2 says, “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?” The old life was always ready to do things that were not God-like, in a lay manway, the old life was always ready to do wrong which was the reason why laws were created to compel the person to function under the rule, but this new life is designed as God is, actually the life is God Himself who dwells in the physical body, and He dwells in your body, why would you do what is wrong, that is not possible.

I did say that as you have this new life which is God dwelling inside of you, you won’t do what is against Him. But how come there are still acts of sin still found even after receiving the new life of God/Christ? This question would be answered tomorrow, so log on tomorrow as I explain why grace is not a licence to sin.

Why Grace Is Not A Licence To Sin

Hello everyone,

I really enjoy making things as blunt as it is, my blog name, “What Is The Gospel Truth?” is intended to tell you what the truth really is, it was then I found out the life around as we know it is a lie! Yeah, I studied philosophy and got to the depth of knowledge and how man reason. I asked the all the “why’s” and then found out everything was pointing to someone who is popularly known as God. We call Him God because we need to give Him a name. He is beyond what our minds can fathom, so today, I am going to write on grace and why it is not a licence to sin. Sounds familiar but sometimes it is important to refresh our Spirit-man.

We all understand what legalism mean? It is a philosophy of focusing on the text of the written law to the exclusion of the intent of the law, elevating strict adherence to law over justice, mercy, grace and common sense (from http://wiktionary.org), we are all used to laws and rules in order to guide us. Laws were created to contain people within a rule just because they keep going against the rule. For instance, the speed limit was created to contain people within the speed limit given because people have the tendency to go beyond the limits given. Why was this given? It was given because people constantly went above the speed limit, so containing people within the speed limit and people obeying it doesn’t mean they intend to obey the speed limit naturally, but because there are punishments given when violated which have compelled drivers to obey.

The laws and legalism are the results of the fallen nature of the first Adam. Adam was guided by God in every way, in other words, God was his vision, listening, hearing, feeling and tasting, but the moment he fell, he lost all of these and became handicapped. But the sad truth is that the world was born into this and saw this as normal without even knowing what went wrong. Adam strived to do things to survive, he always missed the mark which is what we call sin so there was a need for rules, there was a need for laws to contain man and this wasn’t God’s will for man. The law was only put there until the appointed time for man to be saved.

Living the life of God was what God designed and destined for every man created from the very beginning, there was a reason why we were created. God in His mercy decided to save mankind by providing us with another life, a life that is above rules, laws and legalism. The question now is, “Wouldn’t being under grace give us a licence to sin, since we are no longer under the law or legalism?” This is what I intend to answer tomorrow, so log on tomorrow as I unravel this question that bug many people.

After Accepting Christ As Lord, What Next? (Part 2)

Hello everyone,

Last time, I wrote on the importance of knowing Jesus Christ the moment you become born again because He is the reason for salvation, also He has become your life, so literarily you are to reveal Him in your life since you are now Him. So the continuous meditation on the word of God when searching for Jesus is a biography of who you really are. Today, I would continue from where I stopped yesterday.

While meditating on who Jesus is, it is important to know and understand the Great Commission which Jesus has given everyone who is born again, which in summary is to go all over the world to inform people that they are not in bondage and letting them know the importance of having a brand new life in Jesus. Now, this should be your focus because as you keep doing this, this allows the Holy Spirit reveal the skill that is inside of you which would be a tool in getting this task done. Your skill could be in singing, administration, architecture, public speaking, baker, whatever, but this skill would allow you know where you are being led.

The job of the Holy Spirit as I said in one of my blogs is to bring us into all truth and this is what the Holy Spirit would do in you and through you when you move out meet people. You could be in an office and your mission could be to talk to someone about this new life in Christ. We are led by Christ to save lives which we must do using our skills. Do not be afraid of how it would be done because the Holy Spirit empowers us on what to say and how to say it and also with intellect in whatever area we need it. The Holy Spirit provides us with wisdom, knowledge, and understanding far beyond what any Professor would provide even in his wildest dream unless he is led by the Holy Spirit.

Many of us wonder what we are called on earth to do and here’s the summary of all I’ve been saying, you need to know Jesus Christ who is now your life and you need to know you are called to save lives of people who don’t know they have been saved and are still living the life of sin. It when you understand that the Holy Spirit then help reveal that hidden talent and skill that is in you and directs you where you are to use them; this is how you know where you are called. Stick with the Holy Spirit, keep meditating on the word knowing who you are in Christ and you would find out how simple and straightforward your life would be.

After Accepting Christ As Lord, What Next?

Hello everyone,

We all at one point heard the good news, the gospel of salvation, how Jesus bore our sins and has given us His righteousness with a brand new life out of sin, all these we would be ours only when we believe in Jesus, because this brand new life, which is eternal life is in Jesus. Now the question is after becoming a body of Christ by accepting Him, what next?

Many of us do not really know why we gave our lives to Christ, why we accepted Him as Lord. Many use this medium to escape hell, these are those who accepted Christ out of fear (no thanks to the preacher “bad” news instead of the good news). Now, what are we supposed to do after being in this new life? Many reading this could be like, “I been a Christian for 35 years, I don’t need this, this is for new converts.” You could be right, but how are you sure you’ve been going the right way all these years? My reason for saying this is that there are many “Christians” in the world who are suffering today which is not right. Please, we should not mix up suffering when the good news is shared with suffering when not having basic needs.

Members of the body of Christ are not meant to lack. Lacking and suffering are two different things (a story for another day). Now, to the main question of today is after accepting Jesus, what next? The first thing you do after accepting Christ as Lord is to know who Jesus truly is complete. The Bible says in John 3:16b, “…that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” So becoming a member of the body of Christ is as simple as believing in Jesus and the good news about Him, but some could have just heard the message as they walked by and decided in their heart to believe Jesus then they confessed Him as Lord and believed in their heart that God raised Him from the dead. All these are just to gain a new life, but do you really know Jesus? This is because, if you truly know Him, you would be Him 100%.

Christ is in us as a result of having a brand new spirit, but we are to keep revealing the Christ in us as we keep meditating on the word and focus on Him alone. When we search the scriptures, we are to look for Jesus in every scripture, not look for things for our selfish interest, because you could use the scriptures wrongly to hurt yourself. Everyone who is in Christ is to know Christ fully because He is now your life! Until you have your mind focused on knowing Him, you won’t be able to really know what God’s mandate for your life here on earth is. Everyone was created on earth to do something, and it is only in Christ that you can find this.

For you to find out what next to do after this, log on tomorrow and I would continue from where I stopped today.

Every Spiritual Blessing

Happy Sunday everyone,

Do you know that God did not bless us? Let me make the statement better, do you know that God doesn’t bless us? The question is how? Let me tell you why.

First of all, I explained in a blog I wrote recently that God did not give us the authority directly, but because those who are in Christ benefit a hundred percent because it is Christ God gave that blessing. Now, God gave Christ these blessings on behalf of man, since Christ represented us. But my emphasis is on the level of blessings available to us in order to answer the question in the first paragraph.

Now, if a person should bless you, it implies the giver still has more left right? This is where I am going, Christ became one with God and we, in turn, would be one with Christ the moment we accept Jesus as Lord. The truth is that God did not bless us, but in order to understand in a language, we would say God blessed us. If I want to really explain what God did, it would be like, we walked right into the blessing.

This blessing doesn’t mean blessings alone, but favour, abundance and so on, beyond your imagination. To make you understand again, God emptied Himself upon us. To a lay, layman this would mean God emptied His bank account upon us with nothing left. To a man it is like blessing without thinking. This is the extent of the great love God has towards man. So when we say we want God to bless us, this doesn’t make sense because He has nothing else to give us again, why? This is because there nothing we could ever think of even to our greatest, wildest imagination that He hasn’t provided for us, why again? It is because He gave us Himself!

When the Bible says in Ephesians 1:3 which says, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ” When God has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places, what do you think this meant? It means, God gave us everything and left nothing out. Now, every spiritual blessing comes out of God, so why possess the fish than possessing the source of the fish, so God gave Himself to us because He is the source of every spiritual blessing. This is very important for us to understand, but many of us still prefer the cash, the possession, which can finish one day, why not take possession of the source of the spiritual blessings which we activate through Jesus. This is just a tip of how God loves us.

If Jesus Is Not A Religious Leader Then Who Is He?

Hello everyone,

There is a popular verse made by Jesus in John 14:6 which says, “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”” Many people feel the church which people have classified as Christians are just like any other religious leader. But, what makes Jesus not a religious leader, or what makes Him different from the rest? This is what I would discuss today.

Religion, as I explained before, is just a reaction of man in trying to reconnect with God in the way they feel. These attempts were done in trying to please God, so several doctrines were created which they felt was the only way in pleasing God. The religious leader all searched for completeness, for the truth, the way and what life really was.

Jesus did not come to create a new way to please God, what He came to do was to establish a brand new life. This new life is the life in God. Adam lost his life in God, and Jesus came to start a new life as the last Adam in order to save mankind which is why He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.

Jesus said, no one comes to the Father except through Him, which is true. Religion is having the lost life of the first Adam and trying to please God while still having the old lost life. Jesus did not come to do that at all. The religious leaders search for the way, they search what truth is, and they still search for what life truly is. This is to establish that they themselves know that the life they are living is not the real life. Jesus with full authority said He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. He is the answer to the questions the religious leaders having searching for all their lives.

Do not get things mixed up, Jesus didn’t establish a religion. He came to establish a brand new life for the whole world and not a set of people. He is the Way, the Truth and Life.

There Is A Secret Place

Hi everyone,

I went through Psalm 91:1-2, which is quite popular, and it says, “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust.” I always quoted these verses, especially verse 1, but there is a thing to quote a scripture verse and another thing to properly understand what it means especially in this new dispensation of the finished work of Jesus. If you’ve been following my blog what I’m about to tell you is just what is to refresh your memory.

I started with the keyword “secret place”, which some other translations put as “shelter”. A shelter is a safe place where no danger could come, and now this is not just a shelter, but a shelter of the Most High God. Then the verse continues saying the person who dwells in the secret place would abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

Now, the keyword in the second part of verse 1 is “shadow”. To abide under the shadow implies the person is covering you like a shade, and in this case, the shadow serves as protection in the sense of nobody seeing you but the Almighty. Verse 1 being a powerful verse made me understand to what length God has decided to protect us.

Colossians 3:3-4 which explains how as we switched over to a brand new life by being born again, our lives now hidden in Christ and verse 4 explains how Christ then becomes our lives. This then explains what Psalm 91:1 really means, as we died, our new life which is under Christ became hidden in Christ, which means Christ became our "us", so if anyone is coming to challenge you, they don’t see you, it is Christ they meet because He has chosen to become our lives.

So, what challenges are you facing today, just name it? Is it sickness, poverty, depression, marital issues, stress, they all have a name and the One whose name is above every and any other name is your protector and covering, the one whom they would meet if they intend to attack you. Just know that Jesus is standing as you protecting you from anything that isn't from God, this is why verse 2 came about which says, “I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust.””. It is after the experience of verse 1 that the person in question would be able to testify that God Almighty is his/her refuge and fortress, the One whom he/she would trust. But the question here is, does this happen automatically, what do I mean by that?

The beginning of verse 1 of Psalm 91 says, “He who dwells…” which implies it is a choice we have to make for ourselves, and this can only happen if you’re ready to trust God. His ways may seem not to make sense, but remember, He is God Almighty who knows the end from the beginning. Humility is when you cast all your burdens upon Jesus, in other words letting go and allowing God to take over your life.

The creator can never make a mistake and the great news is that He put you in Himself, which shows someone who cares. Trust is always the keyword, what do you have to lose? It’s not like your ways were better in the first place. Learn to trust God and you would enter the high incomprehensible level God has always had for you.

How To Enter Into Superabundance Permanently

Hello everyone,

Today, I would continue from where I stopped yesterday, which was on the truth that God did not create a world of scarcity. Now, I explained that the world is living on the fallen nature of Adam which is scarcity. I explained further that Jesus who is the new and last Adam came with a solution to this problem, which is why you would notice how He provided superabundance for everyone when they were in need. He showed how He is greater than money. I explained why we need to switch to the new Adam to tap into this right way of living. And today I’ll show you how to activate the superabundance.

There was a documentary I saw a few years ago, which is titled ‘The Secret’, talking about the secret law of attraction. I discovered this was the power Adam was given, and the power which man is supposed to be operating on but didn’t discover it. Jesus explained in Mark 11:22-24 about how when we declare a thing and do not doubt in our heart, we would have it. Jesus while here on earth only demonstrated the powers which were given to Adam which man hadn’t been using. Although Jesus revealed a power which was greater than that of Adam in some cases, cases like the raising of Lazarus back to life which was not like the other times He raised people, in this case, He made use of an authority which was greater than the regular man.

Man naturally has an authority over the earth but hasn’t tapped into it. This power is what The Secret was explaining which is opened to every man on the face of the planet. However, there is an authority which is greater than this which opens the door to superabundance that God ordained to those who have switched to from the old Adam to the new Adam (Jesus).

We must understand that the authority God gave man was of the earth alone, but in order to live in a world of no scarcity, you need to be in Jesus. How do you tap into that superabundance while in Jesus? The answer may surprise you, but this is true, I’ll illustrate with an example. If you keep watching a movie like Superman over and over and over for days, what do you think happens to you? You start acting as Superman even though you aren’t him, of course, you won’t be able to fly. Now with this illustration, let me explain how to tap into this superabundance.

Which would you prefer, for your needs to be met or the having the ability to create your needs? Of course, it would be having the power to create your needs. Jesus is the complete package of everything you would ever need. He is provision, success, prosperity, abundance all at its peak. Out of Him comes all these things, as the Bible says in Colossians 1:16 which says, “For by [Christ] all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.” Those who are in Christ need to know and understand this because the Bible again says that you become one with Him and He becomes your life [ref. Romans 8:17; Colossians 3:4], which implies that every ability that Jesus possesses now as stated in Colossians 1:16 which could not properly state the high of the greatness of Christ in a language man could understand, is available to you.

Again, how would you display this power, the Bible says in Hebrews 12:2, “…looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith…” He is the one you should never take your eyes off, because unlike Superman who you’re not, in this case, you’re now Christ manifested on earth, so the more you focus on Him, the more you display His powers, authority, superabundance, name it, right here on earth.

The scripture also says in Romans 12:2, “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. You need to be reminding yourself of who Jesus is, and also remind yourself that the person you’re studying and meditating on is you! The “you” that you know has died, the new you is now Jesus [Galatians 2:20; Colossians 3:4].

Jesus is completeness personified, that which you cannot imagine is found in Him and there is superabundance in Him beyond any level you can think of, why do you think He said He is the Way, the Truth and the Life if not because we’ve been living in a failed system and a lie of scarcity [John 14:6].

God Did Not Create A World Of Scarcity

Hello everyone,

Do you know that the world is operating on a failed system? I you might be expecting me to say, “Turn to Jesus, for He alone is the right system!” Yeah, sounds true but if I put it that way you won’t understand what I have to say. Now, this world system was launched by the world’s great fore father, Mr. Adam, well He isn’t my fore father anymore, I’ve upgraded to a new and excellent Adam (Jesus), well, that’s for later. This system started from the fall and has grown tremendously since then, but it is a failed system. Anything from the first Adam is a failed system, let me explain why the emphasis on this failed system.

I always wanted to study to Economics but one thing led to another and I didn’t. But anyways, one thing Economics really emphasise on is the word ‘scarcity’ which is the condition of something being uncommon, rare; difficult to find; insufficient to meet a demand, this is how the world has been built.

God did not build the world with scarcity, He built the world with super abundance, but the world has been afraid of scarcity. It is due to this that the world’s banking, accounting and other system is built on. Jesus came to establish the will of God for our lives which is super abundance. When you check the miracles Jesus performed, you will find the presence of super abundance; from the turning of water into wine, the feeding of the five thousand, the great catch of fish by Peter, even to the healing miracles, those who were healed were made completely whole, there was completeness in every way.

Money is a perfect definition of scarcity, it shows how one is controlled by numbers, and limited if there is not enough. You find a person, maybe a farmer after toiling, secures his land of harvest from thieves because both the thieves and the farmer are afraid of scarcity. The farmer is afraid there won’t be enough when it get stolen, while the thieves believe there is not enough that is why they steal. But this is not the way it is in God’s establishment.

Adam had more than enough when he was in the Garden of Eden, there was no fear of scarcity because there was more than enough, but when he fell, he had to toil to survive and there wasn’t enough, this was where scarcity started. Jesus came to change all that and showed us a glimpse of what abundance is while here on earth, not to talk of now where all authority is in His hand and has power over ever affairs of our lives.

Do you want to remain in a scarce economy where you keep stressing yourself and think it is a normal way of life, do not be deceived, because you were born into poverty and everyone around is in poverty and they all see it as normal doesn’t mean there is a better way of life. We are to live above money, but this can only happen when you switch to the last Adam, Jesus and believe that you live in super abundance. How do we activate this super abundance? Log on tomorrow and find out.

Why Remain a Slave When You're Free? (Part 2)

Hello everyone,

Yesterday, I was able to explain that there are no more sinners in the world officially because Jesus took the sins off the world when He died over 2,000 years ago. The only reason why you still find people living as though Jesus did nothing is because they haven’t been informed or they chose to live that way. The truth which I explained is that everyone has been given a brand new opportunity of a new life by just activating the new life. The old way of life has been abolished by Jesus and Jesus has set up a new life, it is then left to every new person who is in Christ to tell everyone who hasn’t heard about this good news.

Many people need to understand the importance that being Christ is the new way of life, but how would the entire world know this? Let’s take a look at Romans 10:14-15, “How then shall they call on [Christ] in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!” And then verse 17 then says, “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

Jesus didn’t create hell of humans, it was created for the devil and his angels. Any human that goes to hell chose to do so by himself. It is appointed to those who are in Christ to save those who are not in Christ, but if they fail to do so, they would be pardoned because they didn’t get to hear the good news. So, conclude that those who haven’t heard the good news and die would go to hell, which is not how God is, this doesn’t show His mercy and love.

God’s intention was to save mankind, and if you as humans could think of pardon to a person who didn’t get to hear the good news, how much more God whose mercy and love cannot be fathomed by human understanding; anywhere we end up is our choice and not God’s. God is more merciful than we think, only those who deliberately choose not to accept the Way/good news would go to hell because they knew what was right but refused to change their ways, they chose to go to hell.

The truth here is that every problem in the world has been given a solution, and the solution is Jesus Christ because He went to the root of the problem and destroyed it, He then put a new way there for everyone to step up to a new life in common terms, repent. It is just like upgrading the operating system of your computer from windows 8 to windows 10. Your spirit is likened to the operating system, your soul is likened to the documents, while your body is likened to the body of the computer. Your documents are not lost, but the operating system has changed. It is then left to you allow the new operating system to wipe out the virus which windows 8 couldn’t tackle but windows 10 can! This is how it is in our day to day life.

The answer is available, trust me, God is more merciful than you could ever imagine, and do not ever listen to anyone who tells you God is mean. Just accept the upgrade from the old Adam which you are now to the new Adam who is Jesus Christ (this is for those who haven’t done so). The old Adam was a failed program which he brought upon himself and God in His infinite mercy brought a new Adam for us to upgrade to so as not to be destroyed by the old program. The choice is up to you, why remain a slave when you're free?

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!

Why Remain a Slave When You're Free? (Part 1)

Happy new week everyone,

We’ve often heard several times when a church leader calls the congregation, most likely after a heartfelt message, to those who want to accept Jesus as Lord to come out. When some come out, you hear the church leader asking them to repeat after him with words like, “Lord Jesus, I acknowledge I’m a sinner…”, and the rest of it. Well, do you know that for any person who is alive today to call himself a sinner is absolutely wrong? I’m not referring to only those who are in Christ, but the entire world! Surprising right? I’ll tell you why this is wrong.

Now, if the person who came to accept Jesus had said, “Lord Jesus, I acknowledge I have been living in sin…” this would have been different. Why am I saying this? I am saying this because there are no sinners on earth anymore, only those living in sin, there is a difference. To be a sinner implies that sin is the life of the person, while to live in sin implies that you chose to live in sin with sin not necessarily being your life. And many of us would say, “nope, you are wrong” and I’ll say, “you haven’t been reading the scriptures properly”, let me explain why this is so.

The first question we need to ask ourselves is this, “who did Jesus die for?” I’ll answer that, Jesus died for the whole world and not for “Christians” [ref. John 3:16]. Nobody was in Christ when Jesus resurrected, but the scripture says in 2 Corinthians 5:21, “For [God] made [Jesus] who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” When did this happen, before we accepted Jesus as Lord or when He resurrected? Of course, it was as He resurrected because it was His objective. Jesus took every sin on earth and placed it upon Himself in exchange for His righteousness which He gave to every man on earth. Now, you must understand that sin is a curse and not the action as I said before in a blog I wrote, the actions are just results of a sinful life. Jesus took this curse and gave us His life. Now, if you are saying there are sinners on earth, are you saying Jesus left out some sins, maybe they were so many He couldn’t find them?

Jesus shed His blood once and for all [ref. Hebrews 9:12; 10:10], then why do we still find people living a sinful life even after the resurrection of Christ? The answer is simple, they are ignorant and do not know they have been saved. The Bible talks of Good News, Good News here means that you tell people they have been saved from the bondage of sin and then activate the new life in Christ by confessing with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead then you would be saved [ref. Romans 10:9]! Once upon a time, no one knew they were saved from sin, it was the first 120 people in Acts 2, who knew first. Salvation came after the resurrection and not before.

The entire world was tagged sinners before the resurrection of Jesus because they were under the curse. Jesus was sin for us, we no longer had sin on us because Jesus took the curse, the only reason why a person would still live in sin is due to ignorance. This is what Jesus called everyone who has activated their new life to go into all the world to tell people to activate their new life because they have been saved, also known as the great commission!

Again, I am not saying those who haven’t believed and confessed Jesus as Lord are automatically born again and saved, what I am saying is that sin has been taken away from every man, they just need to activate it to be saved. What we have is as a person who has been a slave all his life with chains around his neck, then new management came in and set everyone free, but the slaves hadn’t heard the news, what do you think they would still do? They would still work as slaves even when they have been set free.

It is the job of those who are born again to tell everyone to activate their freedom in Christ. Even those who have been saved still grow in grace and in the knowledge of Jesus [ref. 2 Peter 3:18]. The scriptures say that my people perish for lack of knowledge [Hosea 4:6]. Remember, Jesus came to save the whole world which He has done, it is now left to us to activate it.

There is a lot more to discuss on this topic, which I’ll continue in tomorrow’s blog.

We Don't Have Any Authority (Part 2)

Happy Sunday to you all,

Yesterday, I wrote on why we weren’t given the authority of Christ, which is quite different from what I’ve been writing on, saying we have the authority of Christ. But in actual truth, there is no contradiction. To say we have the authority of Christ is to look with the physical eye, but to say we have no authority is to look with the spiritual eye, and what do I mean by that?

We make use of an authority which we believe we got from Christ through faith, but I then took a closer look to further explain that really we were never given any authority. The authority Jesus expresses is the authority of God because He is in Him, you cannot separate Jesus and God; they are the same. The same thing applies to us, for God didn’t look at us and give us His authority. The truth is that the spirit or we could say life we carried could never be one with God. And we know that God didn’t want to wipe man away completely because of the love He has towards us, so He used a different strategy where our soul still remains, but our spirit has to be abolished.

The first Adam caused every other man to be separated from God, but in God rescuing us, He came Himself as a brand new Adam where He could adopt us as His children who we originally were before the fall of the first Adam. We are all under Christ who did an excellent job before God and we are all bound by one spirit.

Now since our old spirit has been abolished, we got a brand new spirit which is the spirit of Christ that is, the spirit of God! This is why 1 John 3:9 says, “Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for [God’s] seed remains in him; and he cannot sin because he has been born of God.”

Let us get this straight, we are living not by our own making, but by the life Christ which is the life of God. This is also why Romans 8:16-17 says, “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.” Being joint heirs would mean both Jesus Christ and us, get 100% which doesn’t spell the presence of two parties but one! This implies that both Christ and we, are one entity and inseparable.

The reason we really don’t get to use this authority properly is that we are still conscious of our old nature, the old spirit which is the spirit of sin, the spirit of self. So, we still have it at the back of our mind that it is by our effort we got this authority, or if we don’t want to admit that, we sometimes feel the authority could be taken away from us, all these which are the lies of the devil.

Once you recognise who owns the power in your hands, which doesn’t have an expiration date and see Him and not yourself taking charge, then you see the authority of Christ at work. When you want to make use of the authority, picture Christ as yourself, when you get the full understanding that Christ never declares anything without it coming to pass, then you know that what you declare it as Christ declaring it, which actually is, because in the spirit realm it is Christ they see and not you because you are dead but Christ is alive in you!

We Don't Have Any Authority?

Hello everyone,

What I’m going to share with you today is most likely not going to new to many people, but it is important that these things are shared for the edification of the soul.

Recently, I’ve been writing on how we should understand our authority in Christ. I also wrote on how we need to understand our source of authority, but let me take a closer look at this.

Based on my write-ups, we now know that we have the authority of Christ and it is His authority we make use of, but we need to know that we are not who many of us think we are, let me explain. To understand how we gained access to the power and authority of Jesus Christ, we must, first of all, know that God did not give us the authority of Jesus, God gave no one else order than Jesus the authority over heaven, earth and under the earth. So the question now is how then did we gain access to this authority? We didn’t and we never did gain access to the authority Jesus has now.

Jesus while here on earth represented both God and Man, He was fully God and fully Man. As God raised Him up and gave all authority to Him, it wasn’t the God part of Jesus that was referred to, but the Man part because God is God, He can’t raise Himself higher than He is. So, why would Jesus have all authority in heaven, earth and under the earth where God is, does it mean God doesn’t have authority over these things anymore?

The answer to that question is that as God raised Jesus from the grave, Jesus and God bonded as one. Jesus earlier while on earth said He and His Father are one, He is in the Father and His Father is in Him [ref. John 14:10]. Jesus bonded with His Father completely, and this is what happened to us.

The Bible says in Ephesians 4:4-6 that there is one body, one Spirit, one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. The moment you become born again, you become part of Jesus, and being part of Jesus would imply you having access to His authority.

So, in the area of the body in which you belong to, you exercise the authority given to Christ in that area (I really do hope I’m not getting you all confused). We ceased to exist the moment we became born again, which is why Colossians 3:4 talks of Christ being our life. There is only one God and one authority which is not shared with anyone. Just as the hand or the eyes are part of Christ, so are we part of Christ. We are not a separate entity from Christ. As Christ is, so are we, whatever victory Jesus has is what we have exactly [ref. 1 John 4:17].

Becoming born again is deeper than you think, and I’ll have to continue this tomorrow.

Faith, Optimism and Understanding The Times

Hello, everyone, weekend is here again,

There is something I have observed in the way some born again people behave and I call it a twist of faith. Hmmmn… I’ll try to explain it in the best way I can for proper understanding. Many times, when some who are born again maybe want to get a house but have no money, they then start claiming a house that they want. Now, this is not where I am heading to, where I am heading is that they do not declare out of faith but out of desperation through optimism. This is not faith, rather it is optimism!

Optimism could be seen as a tendency to expect the best, or at least, a favourable outcome. This is not how those who are in Christ should live their lives. Again, those who live with optimism, do not do so with optimism alone, they are also desperate and this causes anxiety.

In many cases, you find those who could afford the house not claiming a house because they can afford the house. So what has been wrong? The answer is they have a wrong understanding on what faith is.

As persons in Christ, we must understand what and why we were brought here on earth to do. In the prayer Apostle Paul made to the Ephesians which applies to every person in Christ, he prayed that we may receive the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of God, then he continued in verse 18 of Ephesians 1, “…having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints…” ESV. It is important for every person in Christ to know why they were born on earth, everybody has a purpose which God has called us to do. It is by this we are then enlightened through the Holy Spirit as He guides us through word of God which spells out who we are and what God has done for us through Jesus Christ.

Now, as we keep understanding our calling here on earth, it is important that we understand that everything that pertains to our calling has been provided for us long before we were born, these things have been made available by the grace of God, it is then up to us to know what these things are that we then claim or take them through faith in Jesus, this is where faith comes in!

The reason why this is important is that many of us claim what isn’t ours even as we understand that all things are ours, but anything that God has provided for us, has a purpose in our lives, and we call them at the right time. A builder of a house doesn’t put the roof first when he is constructing the house, he understands what to put and when to put them, and everything has a purpose and a timing.

So, we must know if a thing has to do with our calling and if it is the right time to claim them, this is faith because money isn’t the determining factor only understanding the times and seasons, and this is how Jesus lived when He was here on earth, that is you would notice how He never got anything wrong.

Faith isn’t optimism because optimism is an act of staying positive without necessarily knowing what is coming exactly, but faith, on the other hand, is that which you know what is even when people do not see it which you have claimed as yours.

Understand your calling, and you won’t claim things wrongly in order to prevent you from getting frustrated when nothing happens.
