Only See What You Need [reviewed]

Have you noticed that you cannot focus on more than one thing at a time? What do I mean? You can see everything, but you can only focus on just one thing; you can hear everything, but you can only listen to one thing at a time, the same goes with our other senses.

Humans are people who focus on things but as I said we cannot focus on more than one thing at a time. In other words there is no way we can focus on all the things we want simultaneously; you must forfeit one for the other. This also affects our judgement and conclusion. Still, we must understand what we intend to happen to us has a lot to do with what we see and say. So, if you believe you are blessed, see yourself blessed and not otherwise. Our thoughts have a force that shouts what we want without saying it. If you say you are blessed, and in your mind you say otherwise, it is that which your mind says that is established.

Jesus was hungry at a point and went to a fig tree expecting to see fruits on it, but He didn’t see any; He spoke to the tree saying no one would ever eat of the tree again and walked away. Jesus saw the tree dead in His mind that’s why when He took the same path the next day, He didn’t bother looking at the tree, but His disciples who had double minds checked if what Jesus said came to pass and it did! [ref. Mark 11:12-14; 11:20-21]. Why? Jesus didn’t have a double mind. His disciples wondered how He did it and He explained to them saying, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” Mark 11:22b-23. Only see what you want.

Again, Peter the Apostle wanted to walk on water when Jesus called him, so what he saw was seeing himself walking on water till he changed what he saw, that was focusing on the wind and wave, that was what made him sink till Jesus came to the rescue [ref. Matthew 14:22-33]. What Jesus asked was, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” Matthew 14:31. What you want is the only thing you see!

To see what you need is to see what God wants us to have; it’s an act of faith. He did this to Joshua when the children of Israel were to destroy the wall of Jericho, God told Joshua, “See! I have given Jericho into your hand, its king, and the mighty men of valor.” Joshua 6:2. But Jericho was still standing! God wanted Joshua to see only what they wanted, if they had changed their focus from seeing Jericho destroyed, Jericho wouldn’t have been destroyed.

You must bring your imagination to life, because imagination is basically the power of hope; and once hope is alive it helps to connect in bringing to live what you hoped through faith. If you can’t see it happening, it will never happen.

The physical manifestation of things is only the fruit of what you’ve been focusing on, that is what you’ve seen as real even before its physical manifestation. No matter the situation you are going through, you must stay focused on what you want. The moment you shift focus to another place of rest, you get the last thing you focused on. So focus on what you need.

The grace God has given us have to be seen every second of our lives because God has given us everything we would ever need; it’s all because of His love for us.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
