Beyond The Five Senses (Part 2)

Yesterday, I talked about man having five senses which appears to be a strong limitation to mankind because the application of the theories in dealing with the problems of this world has led to an even greater problem. All these are because everything man does is based on the five senses which is a limitation. I then explained that there is another sense which is greater and higher than the five senses; this is faith. Today, I would explain why we need this sixth sense, why it is so important for us to have it and how we can use it.

Our brain as we know is the organ which controls the five senses, but as I said the five senses seem to cause more damage to things. I brought explained that faith is the missing factor. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life] AMP. Galatians 2:20 says, “I have been crucified with Christ [that is, in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body I live by faith [by adhering to, relying on, and completely trusting] in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me” AMP.

The five sense lost the sixth sense the moment Adam gave the Devil his authority. The sixth sense is the sense of Christ Himself. Christ has gone through every challenge we would ever face and got an excellent score. This mind set was given to man at the beginning; the sixth sense was directly in control of the five senses. As Romans 8:6 says that the carnal mind which is the five senses is death, why? It is because if you look carefully at Galatians 2:20, it says, “you” have been crucified with Christ, that means you seized to exist, which implies that your five senses were dead, it had no control over you. Then the question would be, what was controlling you? It was the sixth sense!

The moment you make Jesus Lord of your life, your five senses dies and Jesus Christ gives you His perfect life, which becomes your sixth sense. This sixth sense becomes the real sight, taste, hearing, smelling and touch. The five senses alone are the eyes without sight, the ears with hearing, the nose with smelling, the tongue without taste and the skin without touch. Why again is this so? It is so because we assume things and use previous experiences to serve as a yardstick for our discoveries and theories; but with the sixth sense present, the sixth sense knows all things before they happen.

The sixth sense serve as a direction to the five senses. The five senses do not do things by themselves again because they follow every command of the sixth sense which is the perfection the five senses. That is why living with the five senses lead to death; Jesus said in the Holy Spirit who is in the sixth sense would teach us all things and bring all things to our remembrance [ref. John 14:26].

The sixth sense has direct access to the power of God; the sixth sense which is faith believes that the Grace of God has been given to the Believer, accepts that the Grace has been given and lives his life using the power of God which is the life of the Spirit. The moment you accept Christ, you become transformed to a brand new person having the sixth sense as a direction on how to live and whatever decision we would ever need to take. We should be confident and trust the sixth sense because the sixth sense is never wrong because God is never wrong. With the sixth sense we live a life of miracles, healing, wisdom like you’ve never seen before, the wealth of Christ manifesting. All these because the sixth sense is reward God gave Christ which is being manifested to us. We are to live beyond the five senses and be limited to it by embracing Christ who really is the sixth sense because we live by His faith and not our faith [ref. Galatians2:20].

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
