Faithful In Little

Jesus gave a parable of the unjust steward in Luke 16:1-13. The lesson behind the parable was that people of the world are wiser than people of God in their dealings over things entrusted to them. They have a sound sense of judgement, even though they are of the world. But the Sons and Daughters of God lack a sound sense of judgement, and in this case a state of faithfulness. Which was why Jesus said in Luke 16:10, "He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much."

When God entitles you with a thing, how faithful are you to that thing? What we fail to understand is that our faithfulness to things God has given us right now, opens bigger doors for us. It is not just about being a Son or Daughter of God, believing that we have inherited the fulness of Jesus, which includes His wealth, health and favour. What activates it is our being faithful to what we have been given.

Our meditation on the word of God is expected to strengthen us in being faithful, because we are to express the image of the Jesus, who was extra faithful to God His Father. And this is possible because we now have His Spirit.

What crosses your mind when things are entitled to you, even at a small level? What should cross our mind is that these things belong to us, and if we don't take care of these things, how would it grow, or how do we increase the value of that thing?

If we come with the mindset that it isn’t yours, or you're not in charge of it, nothing would work, and God would entrust you with something bigger because you showed to Him that you could not take care of the little one He gave us.

God knows our abilities, and would never give us anything beyond our capacity. And then again, He gives us things to make us fix our attention on Him, as Apostle Paul said in Philippians 4:13, which says, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

The wisdom and manner of approach in getting anything done lies in the ability of Christ Jesus, who strengthens us."

If you have issues in your finances, or you seem not to make progress generally, despite meditating on the word day and night, ask yourself if you have been faithful to the things God had set before you. And to know that is to listen to the Holy Spirit, because there is no way He wouldn’t have been guiding you on what and how to do things the Lord has set before you.

Faithfulness is key, and it start from what is before you. And remember even after meditating on the word of God, listen to the leading of the Holy Spirit and obey, because your obedience implies faithfulness. And you'll see that you aren't stagnant anymore.

Your faithfulness starts...NOW!

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
