Hello everyone,
We have been able to understand the mercy of God which has been bestowed on us through Jesus Christ, but there are terms which are attributed to God but are not just mere words, they refer to living beings, and this is what I would discuss today.
We all know who the devil is, right? The Bible calls him the accuser of the brethren [ref. Revelation 12:10], by brethren it means those who are born of Christ. The verse says, he “accused them before our God day and night…”. What is the devil accusing us of? He is accusing us to God of our flaws and mistakes, the things we don’t do right, how we still sin in some areas, he just keeps on showing God our weaknesses. But what did verse 11 of Revelation 10 say? “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.”
The blood of the Lamb is the blood of Jesus which washed away all our transgressions, that which God said with it He will be merciful to our unrighteousness, and our sins and lawless deeds He will remember no more [ref. Hebrews 8:12]. So what makes the devil’s accusations non-effective? It is Jesus, for 1 John 2:1 and 2 says, “…And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.”
With all these, it shows that the person who reminds God of mercy towards us is mercy Himself, Jesus. So when I say, Jesus is all in all, and the full package, I’m not exaggerating or being religious because it is true, for without Him we can do nothing [ref. John 15:5]. Jesus is our saviour, our grace, mercy, strength, authority, our all in all, getting to know Him is getting closer to God and fulfilling the perfect will of God for your life.
Now, some may say, since God said He would by no means remember our iniquities and transgressions, does that mean we should not be afraid when we fall into sin because the big brother’s got it? Log on tomorrow as I address this question.
May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.
Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
