What Has He Asked You To Do In The New Year?

Today is the very last day of the year 2021, wow! What an adventure right? Tomorrow is a new year. Many would have their "new year, new me" syndrome popping up very soon.

In my last write-up, my focus was on the fact that in as much as we intend to perform better in the new year, or set up new goals, what

should be the most important or only thing on our mind is to know God's plan for our lives. In other words, what is your purpose here on earth; what is the reason for your creation; what should you get done for the year 2022? This is very important because, why live outside your original design? So, when you've inquired of the Lord who would then reveal what you're to do, the question to ask is to know your motive when carrying out what God has asked you to do.

In 1 Corinthians 10:23-33, Apostle Paul's focus was on giving all the Glory to God. And in verse 31 of 1 Corinthians 10, it says, "Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." No Matter What we have been asked to do, it had to be done giving all the Glory to God.

Now, when I say it has to be done giving Glory to God, it means we must remain attentive to the Holy Spirit, as He would be the One to direct us on how things should be done, and by doing this, our minds become renewed, your conscience is then able to alert you when you are or aren't giving Glory to God through your actions. This is important because things may be going on smoothly, but you aren't giving Glory to God! Surprised? (I'll explain this in detail in a few days time).

But when you are being purged by the Word of God, and in the leading of the Holy Spirit, you have grown Spiritually in knowing how to give Glory to God. It becomes your new nature of Jesus being made manifested, as you are no longer ignorant in knowing how to give Glory to God.

Do not be deceived by the devil to think everything God asked you to do is about suffering and sacrifice. For sacrifice, yes, there would be sacrifice, but not to your own detriment. You should understand that what you're doing is actually God's mission, and not yours in the real sense. You're His vessel, and God ensures His plan is done excellently. And because of that, He would take good care of His vessel (you), (ref. Matthew 6:33).

As you begin the new year tomorrow and begin to carry out God's plan for your life, know that He's got your back, and all you would ever need in carrying out the mission has been given to you, which are really your needs being met, which is a strong reason why you should always be grateful to Him.

Trust the Lord because He Himself trusts you.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
