Peace on Earth?

Merry Christmas everyone!

Christmas is an awesome time of the year. There is fun, gifts are given to loved ones and to those in need. It's a time where friends and families come together for the holiday. And you know, the year is about to end, so there's a lot to talk and reflect on. But what exactly is Christmas all about?

Well, those who want to prove smart may say, "Christmas is about the coming of Jesus, to die for our sins." The "He came to die for our sins" line, has become a cliché, that many don't even know the meaning of that line. So, what's Christmas all about.

Christmas symbolises the end of life as we know it, and beginning of a brand new one, (although the new officially commenced at the resurrection of Jesus). This is why you "peace on earth" during Christmas.

The birth of Jesus was so significant to God that He ensured His angel delivered the message to Zacharias, Mary and Joseph and not a man. This was the physical activation of His master plan for mankind. God also ensured He shut the mouth of Zacharias when he had doubt in his heart, over the birth of his son—John the baptist, as he thought he was too old to have children.

God ensured heavenly host of heaven appeared in the sky glorifying God to the Shepherds on the birth of Jesus. He ensured the wise men were led by a star to where Jesus was. God never wanted any of His plan to be ruined. This was a very significant moment for God as this was His perfect Gift to mankind.

Jesus was the end of this world, and the beginning of a brand new life with no sin or death involved. And you know when I say sin and death, it includes diseases, pain, depression, pandemic, financial depression, and so on.

The new life contains the direct life of God with His Holy Spirit living inside of you, isn't that awesome? This was why a multitude of heavenly host praised and glorified God in Luke 2:14 saying, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!"

Jesus Himself said in the popular John 3:16, "For this is how much God loved the world—he gave his one and only, unique Son as a gift. So now everyone who believes in Him will never perish but experience everlasting life." TPT, isn't God awesome?

I don't know about you, but this is why I love and celebrate Christmas. God brought peace on earth in the midst of this chaos of this passing away world. Why not seize this opportunity of becoming a citizen of the brand new life Jesus brought us.

Do have an amazing Christmas everyone.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
