Do Not Miss Your Way (Part 1)

Hello everyone,

Thank you guys for always finding time to read my post when it comes up. Today’s write-up is a continuation from the last, and if you have a comment to make as regards the post, please feel free to post your comment in the comment section below. Love you guys.

In my last post, I wrote that many disciples that form the church or the body of Christ have been led astray. The first section of those being led astray are those who intend to win the world at all cost and they unknowingly twist the word to make the unsaved come for the gathering of the saved (church). This is my focus today and my intention is to identify where they get it wrong, and what needs to be done to get back on track.

The gathering of the saved or the saints, what we call church is not open only to those who are saved, but the unsaved, in other words, it is a hospital for the unsaved. The essence of this is that even the saved are growing into manifesting the fullness of Christ [the new person they have become], therefore those who are unsaved get to listen to the teachings of what the transformed life is and they receive faith and publicly confess the Lord Jesus, and believe in their heart that God raised Him from the grave, (ref.: Romans 10:9), then they are saved and their spirit automatically gets transformed into a new Spirit—the Spirit of Truth/Jesus. This is the essence of the gathering of the church. But where church leaders get it wrong is that spreading the love of Christ isn’t the same as laxity in accepting certain things in the world.

My point here is there are certain things that aren’t the focus of Jesus’ resurrection or the transformed life. Things such as material possession for instance being misconstrued. For example, the noise of many church leaders trying to please the crowd that we are meant to be rich when we get transformed into Christ is what is being focused on, and many "hungry" people would like to hear messages like this. True, we are not meant to be poor being under Jesus (ref.: Hebrews 13:5), but this has been twisted a little to suit the crowd, and that isn’t what Jesus sent us into the world to do.

Also, accepting anyone the way they are doesn’t mean we should accept things that cause distractions and leave it there. True, we are not to kick them away, rather, they should be counselled into Christ being led by the Holy Spirit, not into the laws and morality (which I’ll write more on in my next post). As we all are still growing in Christ and some distractions could strengthen the flesh.

The world isn’t seeing the end of the sin that Jesus saved us from as the church is expanding because when we try to please the world by all means by misrepresenting the word, we are using our human sense to judge things, rather than being led by the Holy Spirit to lead us in harvesting the right way.

We should not lose focus on why we are called. The truth shouldn’t be twisted to suit people, because once that is done, we are not being led by the Holy Spirit, but by our flesh. We are not in the position to create a way out when stuck, this is the job of the Holy Spirit, He shows us what to say, when to say, how to say it, and where to go to spread the Grace and Love Jesus brought to the world.

I won’t want to dwell too much on the mistakes of the church, rather my intention is to pick an example for us to know where I'm headed and to show us what Jesus called us to be which for me is paramount. If not, this won’t be a blog post but a book.

In my next post, I’ll talk about the other side of the church that has missed the point of focus.

God bless you guys?

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
