Do Not Miss Your Way (Part 2)

Hello everyone,

I believe your day is going great. Today I would continue from my previous write-up on how the church has unknowingly gone astray

and is preventing the world from seeing the true reason Jesus died for us.

In my last write-up, I explained how a part of the church has mixed freedom in Christ with the laxity of the Spirit (purpose of our calling). I explained how this body of Christ does everything to get converts, and in so doing derail from the truth. And this is caused by using their human knowledge and understanding, rather than fully depending on the Holy Spirit (the Spirit of Jesus) to direct them in all they do.

Today, I’d look at the other side who have forced Christianity into a religion which Jesus didn’t establish.

Anyone who is born of God eventually becomes morally upright or grows into being morally upright, not necessarily to impress people, but because of the new spirit he/she carries. This is just an attribute but should NOT imply that everyone who is morally upright is born of God or a Christian. This is where the second set of Christians unknowingly go astray.

A smoker who gives his life to Christ doesn’t stop smoking all of a sudden, but as he studies and meditate on who he is (the word/Jesus) in this new life he has attained, the old life drops (bad habits such as smoking for example) as his focus is on who he is—the new man in Christ, (ref.: 2 Corinthians 5:17). But there are those who were morally upright but weren’t born of God but decided to go to church, learn what the scriptures without still accepting Christ. This person could deceive the church that he born again. And when the smoker person who actually received Jesus as Lord comes to church, they’ll refuse to associate with him, or they treat him as a sinner needing help. This could be noticed in their tone as they try to be hypocritical to the person.

My point here is that Jesus gave us His life as a brand new life and His love and Grace which we are to share with everyone about what He has given us.

The world was not meant to know the right thing, actually, the world is meant to be rotten and get more rotten because they are under the decaying world which is the life of the first Adam and all the characteristics that come with it. So, ignoring the person saying he is a sinner is actually the fault of the Christians because if the world doesn’t get to know that Jesus has freed the world from sin and its bondage, the world would keep operating under the evil one—the devil.

To instill laws and rules implies that they’re meant to know what is right which is not so, because they don't know what the Truth is. They are like children who don’t know what is right but would know what is right when the Truth is spoken to them because the Truth/the word of God contains the power that is the discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart, (ref.: Hebrews 4:12).

The church should know this, and spread love to all, and keep strengthening themselves as they grow, and with that, they get to know the new life and confess Jesus as their Lord, as they translate from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of Jesus. We are not to condemn, rather we are to strengthen one another in love, just as Jesus did while here on earth and as He also said in John 3:17.

The new life is the very life of Jesus, with His characteristics. It is all about Him and nothing about us. Rules are not to be set, rather Jesus is not just meant to be set, but also to be established, as He becomes our new life when we get translated into Him. This is what the church should know and understand. If this isn’t done, the world would not see the essence of Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection.

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
