Harnessing His Wealth: Wealth Reorientation

Hello everyone,

Yesterday, I wrote on the topic Harnessing His Wealth (Intro). This was an introduction to the finance series that continues today. Finance is a serious issue in the life of Man that some would do anything to get it straight. Yes, this is important, it is also important even in the life of a Son of God because finance affects almost everything here on earth. But, my take is that there is a way God wants us to harness His wealth. Every Son of God has been given wealth by receiving Christ as Lord. So, today I would be looking at wealth which could bring a reorientation to some.

When people look at wealth, they think of money. And they think it is a thing of struggle; the survival of the fittest; first come first serve mind-set. And yes, it is the mind-set, which is my focus today. Your understanding of wealth affects how you react when you hear the word wealth.

Deuteronomy 8:18 says the Lord is the one who gives us the power to get wealth. Many of us feel it is a scarce commodity, but this was the way Man was shaped after the Garden of Eden. God told Adam that from his toil he shall eat, which requires hard work, don’t get me wrong, hard work is important but hard work again is misunderstood.

First of all, true hard work is commitment and consistency, and not a load of stress on one’s head. Thus the ability to start a thing and to be consistent in the thing. When you look at the way God created the universe, it was through commitment and consistency. A tree doesn’t become a tree overnight when planted, it is through consistency that it becomes a tree, this is where patience, direction, and focus comes in.

Man saw resources as a scarce commodity, and always had the mindset of hoarding it, and the one with the largest amount of hoarded resource is wealthiest. But was this the way God designed wealth to be?

As unique as every person is through DNA, so is his wealth which has been allotted to him by God. It is his or hers and no one else’s, all you got to do is know where it is.

To make matters simpler for us, God gave us the best form of wealth in the person of Jesus Christ, therefore, anyone who is translated into the kingdom of Jesus Christ is automatically born into wealth. Still, the question you may ask is to know how your being a Son of God help you manifest this wealth?

You must take things one after the other. First of all, you must understand that wealth isn’t a scarce commodity, second, you must understand that Jesus is the fullness of wealth beyond our wildest dreams. Your mindset has to change, you need to relax your mind and take it away from the hustle and bustle that the world has created for you.

As I said earlier, wealth when harnessed is unique to each person, and in understanding this, we must know that there is a path which everyone is to take that is also unique to each person. This is the path that allows you to harness the wealth He gave you. If you don’t identify this path, you would continue running about like a typical human trying to transform his financial life, which God through Jesus has already sorted out, but he or she doesn’t know how to harness what was given to him or her.

Apostle James said we should not boast about tomorrow, for we do not know what is going to happen, (ref.: James 4:13-17); also King Solomon said in Proverbs 16:9 that a man may plan his course, but only the Lord determines his steps. What does this mean? It means that first of all our path of wealth is different, so no matter how you plan, what the Lord intends your proper use of the wealth must happen.

Wealth is personal, according to the way the Lord wants it. You may say that is not true and you struggle like mere men. You must identify your path, and you’ll see all your needs met with more to spare. King David, Solomon, and even Jesus identified this path and they never lacked.

Log on tomorrow as I show you how to identify this path of wealth.

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
