The Transformation Starts NOW

Hello everyone,

When someone comes to you and say, “Do you know Jesus loves you?” this, the question isn’t just for the unsaved, but also for the saved, because we would never get to fully understand the depth of how much Jesus loves us. I was going through the Epistle of Romans 8, but I just took a short break and discussed other areas, but today, I intend to look at verses 9-11 of Romans 8. Recently, I’ve been emphasising on the truth that the moment anyone receives Jesus into his or her life, their old life dies and Jesus comes in as the new life, in other words, Jesus becomes their life, and everything that happens to Jesus in the Spirit becomes the life of the newly converted exactly. Today, I would make reference to our bodies and how the Spirit of Christ can affect it.

For those born of God, Romans 8:9 explains that as one born of God the Holy Spirit dwells in you and He is the one who directs and controls you, and as such you are not living the life of the flesh. Verse 10 explains that being born of God, the natural body is dead by reason of sin and guilt, but the spirit is alive because of the righteousness that has been imputed to you.

Romans 8:11 which is peak of it all says, “And if the Spirit of Him Who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, [then] He Who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also restore to life your mortal (short-lived, perishable) bodies through His Spirit Who dwells in you.” AMP. The Message version puts it thus, “It stands to reason, doesn’t it, that if the alive-and-present God who raised Jesus from the dead moves into your life, he’ll do the same thing in you that he did in Jesus, bringing you alive to himself? When God lives and breathes in you (and he does, as surely as he did in Jesus), you are delivered from that dead life. With his Spirit living in you, your body will be as alive as Christ’s!” This implies that when we had the old spirit, our soul [mind, will, and emotion] submitted to the spirit, which in turn controlled our bodies, because the body obeys whatever the soul commands, now that we carry the new Spirit which is the Spirit of Christ, our bodies would be revitalised to be exactly as Christ’s, because our bodies cannot be dead anymore since we house Life Himself. As the Life lives in us, our bodies are bound to reflect the Life of who owns the body.

Haven’t you read in 1 Corinthians 3:16 which says, “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” or haven’t you also read 1 Corinthians 6:19 which says, “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?” God does not dwell in inferior places, which is also clear to say in line Romans 8:11 that God “restore[s] to life [our] mortal (short-lived, perishable) bodies through His Spirit Who dwells in [us]. This is why Sons of God are not meant to be sick, be diseased, or have any form of inferiority in their bodies, because their bodies house God Himself!

Apostle Peter said in 1 Peter 1:23, “You have been regenerated (born again), not from a mortal origin (seed, sperm), but from one that is immortal by the ever living and lasting Word of God.” AMP. This is why when anyone born of God lays hands on the sick, it is the immortal life of God that flows through them into the sick and cleanse them from impurities, the same goes to bringing the dead back to life. If you are a Son of God, you need to know what you carry—you carry the Life of God in you. And the Life of God MUST affect your body. Or do you not know you are not meant to grow old or weak, because those are the signs of the old life which was bound to die, but with the new life in you, you’re meant to get stronger and stronger, as your body is metamorphosing into the fullness of Christ as you keep feeding on His Word [thus, knowing who you really are].

It won’t make any sense for the Spirit and the soul alone to be transformed and leaving the body behind, the body must be transformed just as Christ’s body was transformed when He was raised. The bodily transformation doesn’t start at the second coming, it starts NOW!

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
