Why Meditation Leads To Revelation

It is not a mystery when people say they constantly receive revelation from the Lord Jesus. It is just one secret which isn't a closed one but an opened one from the scriptures that enable them to receive from the Lord Himself.

Just to clarify one thing. To say you receive from the God Almighty or the Holy Spirit isn't different from receiving from Jesus. We must know Our God has a name, and His name is Jesus.

Likewise, the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Jesus. But we must be careful not to put the cart before the horse in the use of the word Holy Spirit in terms of how He functions which is that He explains what Jesus Himself said through His Word. And to find what Jesus said is not through reading, but meditation.

Joshua 1:8 asks us to meditate on the law of which in our born-again realm, we are to meditate on the Word of God (because Jesus who is the Word of God has fulfilled the Law, which makes it obsolete. Study Hebrews 7-10).

Now, Joshua back in the old testament, knew the importance of meditation as he knew that the best way to be led into the path of the Lord can only be through meditation. And of course, you'll be prosperous and have success.

David said a very similar thing in Psalms 1:1-3, as he knew the strong benefit of meditation to anyone who does that.

But what about us in the new covenant, how is meditation beneficial to us?

The great thing about the new covenant is that those who are born into Christ who is the new covenant, all become Sons and Daughters to the Lord God Almighty. So, when we meditate, we know the very mind of God, as it has been released to us (ref.: 1 Corinthians 2:16).

To meditate is to allow the Holy Spirit to open up your eyes to the mind of Christ which are the promises of God, and the Holy Spirit takes it from there by interpreting what it means, which we in turn keep in our heart. In so doing, we receive revelations from God through the Holy Spirit on the word we have meditated upon.

Meditation could also be through speaking in tongues after going through the word of God, which allows the Holy Spirit to make intercessions for us, and in so doing we receive revelations and the Holy Spirit interprets the revelations to us.

Revelations received must rest upon Jesus alone and Him alone must be glorified, now matter what we receive as revelation from God, even if it is an assignment or task for us, the name of Jesus must be glorified.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t? Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
