When you wake up in the morning, you expect that the clock starts ticking forward, and after several hours it becomes afternoon, and then after several hours, you experience nightfall. This is normal.
Also, when you pour water it goes down. Any heavy thing when thrown up, must come down caused by gravity. This is also normal.
We expect a normal situation in everything we do to the point of putting God in that category.
OK, we may say God is all-powerful, all-knowing and beyond. But even with that, we assume for God unknowingly and thereby putting God in a box. What we don't know is that by doing that we put our faith in that box, not God. And this is also seen in how we believe in God.
When God asks us to do things that seem not to make sense. If it doesn't make sense, only He knows why we are to take the path that doesn't seem right rather than follow our way that seems to make sense and is normal and end up in destruction, (ref: Proverbs 14:12).
We shouldn't forget that God created time, and He lives outside time, and cannot be presumed as the ways of man. The only thing we are to have in mind is that He loves us, He knows all things, and has the best plan for us, beyond what any man can reason, (ref.: Jeremiah 29:11).
Allow God to come at you in whatever way. He is the God who caused the sun to stand still for Joshua, (ref.: Joshua 10:12-13). He is the one who took sun back for King Hezekiah to believe, (2 Kings 20:8-11). He is the one who made leprous men sound like army coming to attack, (2 Kings 7:3-7). He is the one who caused the axe head to float when Elisha threw a piece of wood at the spot where it sank, (2 Kings 6:5-7). The lame walk, the blind see, the dead come back to life, and so many signs He did. And best of all He was born as a man, died for us all, and on the third day, He arose, conquering sin and redeeming man back to Himself.
You cannot predict His moves. The only thing you know is that He loves us so much, so don't put Him in a box through your faith.
Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t? Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
