Our Lord Jesus is the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end, the One whom every knee bows and tongue confesses that He alone is Lord, the One who holds the highest authority in heaven, earth, and under the earth, the one who created all things. I could go on and on to show us the might, majesty, and authority our Lord Jesus has.
In knowing how powerful our Lord Jesus is, when we are faced with challenges, some of us cry to Jesus for help. And this is where my focus is.
As Sons and Daughters of God, it is wrong for us to cry to Jesus for help. Doing this doesn't give us the result we need from Him, and why is this so? Let's take a look at the Gospel of Matthew 28:18. It reads, "And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth." It is in this power and might that we then go into the world and carry out His mandate, our purpose here on earth.
You still didn't get it. We don't have Jesus as a person to run to anymore, because He lives on the inside of us because of the new Spirit we received that made us His Sons and Daughters, as is clearly stated in 1 Corinthians 2:12, "Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God." So, in this, we function in His authority, power, and might.
Wherever we step into is as Jesus who is God, has stepped in that place. All that He is, we have become.
The question now is, what are you doing with your faith?
Faith is backed up by action. Faith shows Jesus is in charge, and not the other way round. But is that what we portray in our daily lives, and even in our prayers?
I hear those who claim to be Sons and Daughters of God praying weak prayers for hours. Prayers of helplessness, when Jesus has given you His complete authority to function in.
Yes, many may say, they don't want to be proud by claiming the authority to themselves, Jesus and not them is doing the miracle. This is why it is good to be Spiritually sound.
What you never knew was that the moment we accepted Jesus as Lord of our lives, we ceased to exist. Jesus is now the one living and functioning through our bodies. And this is why we declare "In the name of Jesus." He is the one and not us in charge.
Just as Jesus told His disciples in John 14:9, that if you've seen Him, then you've seen the Father. Likewise, those of us who have become Sons and Daughters of God. Who sees you is seeing Jesus, for we are one in Him, (ref.: 1 Corinthians 6:17).
Do not be lazy with your faith, function in the power and might of Our Lord Jesus Christ through the leading of the Holy Spirit of Jesus.
Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t? Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
