You know I looked at dirt and was amazed over the fact that no matter how we consider it as irrelevant or trash, the truth is that no dirt should be put aside as irrelevant, because every dirt is a miracle. What do I mean? Before I go on, when I say dirt, I don't mean the trash in your home, I'm referring to soil related dirt you find outside.
In Genesis 1, when the Lord God created the heavens and the earth, when He brought land forth, there was nothing on it except dirt! From this dirt, He brought forth trees, vegetation. From this same dirt, He brought forth every type of animal. In fact, everything God made on earth came from dirt including Man, (ref.: Genesis 1:9-27).
Now, Genesis 1:26 says, "Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”" Remember God had been exercising His creative authority in the creation of the heavens and the earth. And He made man in His image, to imply that man has creative abilities as He does, but only on this earth.
The new creation has authority not only earth, but in heaven and under the earth because we carry the spirit of Jesus, (ref.: Matthew 28:18; Philippians 2:10).
So, where am I going with this? In Genesis, God didn't create buildings, cars, aeroplanes, etc. Man did all that, and where do you think he got the materials to do all that, and even more in future? Form dirt!
Dirt is a blessing from God, and we should always thank God for it. A farmer sows in dirt, and later yields a harvest.
We should always give thanks for all things. Dirt for instance is a thing to give God thanks for. Nothing should ever be overlooked. As the scripture say, in all things we are to give thanks, (ref.: 1 Thessalonians 5:18). So, what are you thanking God for?
Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
