Know Your Place!

So, once again I was thinking like a regular human being, using the systems of the world, trying to see how to double income. Yes, this happens to me also, but it's wrong. And the Lord brought 1 Corinthians 3:6-7 to my mind and found out where I got things wrong.

1 Corinthians 3:6-7 says, "I planted the church, and Apollos came and cared for it, but it was God who caused it to grow. This means the one who plants is not anybody special, nor the one who waters, for God is the one who brings the supernatural growth." TPT. So, where did I get it wrong?

As a Son of God and for every Son and Daughter of God, we are not to live our lives as orphans. What's my point here? My point is that the focus of Paul was to plant, and the focus of Apollos was to water. But the focus of growth was from God.

Growth is the duty of God, and has always been. But what we keep on doing is to disturb ourselves to do the job of God. I didn't say neither Paul nor Apollos took note of the supernatural growth in the church, what I said was that, it wasn't their job or duty.

As a child of God we are to be led by the Holy Spirit to know what to plant and how to plant whatever He asked us to plant, to water whatever He asked us to water. But for the growth aspect, we are to trust and be confident that since we have done all that God has asked us to do, God would bring the growth. We must know our place.

Proverbs 4:7 says, "Wisdom is the most valuable commodity—so buy it! Revelation-knowledge is what you need—so invest in it!" TPT. Jesus who is God is our wisdom that we have in the new Spirit as being born again, (ref.: 1 Corinthians 1:30).

King Solomon sees wisdom as the most valuable commodity we are to invest in to receive revelation knowledge which we all need to live our spiritual lives. So, isn't that an amazing life? That you've got a parent who know ALL THINGS and leads you into ALL TRUTH!

Another we need to know is that God multiplies seeds that has been sown, either in business, as a church, a father, mother or child in the home, or whatever area.

Now, the most important thing to note is that these seeds or seed you have sown were led by Him, because He won't grow the works of your flesh because it's not OF Him.

Again, not everyone born of God is to plant. Some are to water what was planted, also being led by Him. As we saw what Apollos did when the churches were being grown. So, this is why we must invest in Him—Jesus, to know Him, and this is the joy of the Father which prayed of at the garden of Gethsemane, (ref.: John 17:3). And it is the only thing we can boast about, (ref.: 1 Corinthians 1:31; 2 Corinthians 10:17).

In summary do your job and the Lord will cause it to grow. So, KNOW YOUR PLACE!

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
