The True Growth In Christ

Hi everyone,

There's a saying, "You can't hide smoke when a house is burning." Where you stand in life is displayed to everyone, as you live your life. So, if you claim to be born again, your actions tell us if you meant what you said or not. And when I mean actions, I'm not referring to religious sentiments, but a life you have become.

When a seed is planted, time will tell what exactly was planted. Eternal life is meant to reflect as you grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Now, the fullness of Christ was given to everyone who became born again. But the knowledge of this is not from the Spirit, but from the soul. The Spirit has become the same Spirit that dwells in Jesus, but your soul needs to be aware of this, so, this is where the growth takes place.

Romans 10:17 says faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. In other words, it is your positive response to that which God has done for you through the utterance of His anointing in Jesus. Faith accepts what God has done. With this, knowledge of who you are is being growth in the soul. And as it grows, we can see it manifest in the body.

No one born of God can be sick, neither can they sin, or grow old, or be depressed, or be in poverty, or die. Why? It is because of the Spirit of Jesus they have inherited. The Spirit of Adam isn't in them anymore. So, all the attributes that came with the Spirit of Adam has no business in them. But their soul has to know this. And why is this?

The soul has been groomed in the old system of the first Adam. The soul is very committed, and all that the soul holds on to is manifested in the body.

Now, the soul must be aware of its new life or else the person who is born again, lives his or her life as those under the old Adam. But would be redeemed on the last day in the second coming of Jesus.

So, the body that didn't receive the full knowledge that death has no place in it would be transformed to the nature it was meant to be if it received the knowledge of who it is.

The focus should not be on not committing sin, but on focusing on Jesus. Just Hebrews 12:2a says, "Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]." Amplified version. Your soul grows into whatever you focus on. And since the Spirit of Jesus is who a born again has inherited, the person born again should focus on who he or she has become.

It is growth into the perfect image of Jesus. So, it is possible to portray attitude of one who is immature, which is popularly know as sin. Now, the devil on the other hand brings guilt to you, and with this, you mourn over the mistake you have made, which is the distraction the devil brought to you. What you failed to understand is that the moment you are committed to fixing your eyes on Jesus, then sin had no hold on you as you are refreshed and renewed all the more with your constant gaze into the perfection of our Lord Jesus.

True, we should be aware of the wrong things we do. But we should not mourn over it as long as we are focused on Jesus Christ.

When a person who is born again ask the Lord for forgiveness, he or she isn't asking to be in right standing with Christ. What he or she is asking for is for strength to run the race better, and why is that? Anyone who is born again is already in right standing with God in the name of Jesus. This is because those born again are already joint heirs with Christ. They have become one with Him, for there is no difference. In other words, there is only one identity not two, and the identity God sees is the identity of Jesus.

Growing in Christ Jesus is the only way to manifest the fulness of Jesus in our bodies. This is where is see perfect health, wealth, good success, prosperity, (ref.: Joshua 1:8; Psalms 1:1-3), being youthful at all times, and most of all, transformation of the body into an eternal one, even before the second coming of our Lord Jesus. All these come through faith, which is accepting all that Jesus is right as who you are.

Remember, it's not about what you do, but about what Jesus did for you. All you need to do is just believe that all what He has become is who you are, SIMPLE!

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
