Escape The Moment You See A Way Out

Happy Weekend everyone,

We face challenges as we walk with God because we are still growing stronger in Christ. We face temptations, some of which we fall for. Sometimes we cry to God over the reason why we keep falling for a specific temptation or temptation as a whole. But 1 Corinthians 10:13 says, “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.”

God knows the strength of every one of His children, so He would not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able to bear. But why do we still fall for some temptations sometimes? The answer is still in 1 Corinthians 10:13; even as we are tempted, God always provide a way of escape. What happens is that we either see the way of escape and ignore it or we don’t see the way out because we don’t expect to see a way out, but there is always a way out.

1 Corinthians 10:12 says, “Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.” We are in a battle, there is always a battle, but through the victory of Jesus Christ, a way out is always provided. You cannot boast by thinking you have a steadfast mind and standing firm, therefore no temptation can overtake you? The scripture asks you who think this way to be careful or else you could fall.

We would always be tempted at whatever level we attain in our growth in Christ Jesus, it is God and not you who provides the way of escape. Your job is to recognise the way out and escape!

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
