The Ordained And Their True Mission

Happy New Week everyone,

The church is the body of Christ, and being the body of Christ we are not meant to be cancerous to the head, in other words, we are to meant to obey everything that comes from the head—Jesus. In order to strengthen the church, He appointed some among the body of Christ to equip the church. Ephesians 4:11-12 says, “And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, ₁₂ for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.”

The moment you become born again and filled with the Holy Spirit, and at that stage, you are a babe in Christ, and you would need some assistance from those who are mature in faith to help you in understanding how to study and meditate on the word and also understand walking with the Holy Spirit. These people to equip the saints are those Jesus chose. There are also those who have grown to a good level, it is the responsibility the Pastor for instance to be a Shepherd to the church.

The aim of all these is to equip the church in being focused on Christ Himself. So, those ordained are meant to be properly equipped first of all, in order to properly equip others. As Sons of God, we are all growing up into Christ, and it is the job of those ordained to ensure that the saints who are the Sons of God don’t lose focus. So, what does Jesus expect those ordained to do? Log on tomorrow as I continue on this topic.
