Happy New Week everyone,
There is a package and there is another package. I have written on the first package, several write-ups ago, and I wrote that this first package is Jesus and what is contained in Him. Colossians 2:3 says, “in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” And this is just a tip of the ice beg. But there is another package which is very much different from the first one which we should be very careful of, and what is this package? It is the package of sin! But I thought Jesus took care of sin? Yes, He did from our lives, that doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. It exists and we could be negligent by playing with it, even though those born of God can’t be called sinners because of their new Spirit, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be meddling with sin. Let me elaborate further.
A lot of us know sin to be things such as theft, lying, fornication, adultery and the like, but the truth is that these are not sin because sin is a spirit, those listed above are called the works of the flesh, in other words, could be the fruits of sin. “I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 17For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.”
When you stay with sin, you arouse the flesh not to obey the Spirit (to those who are born again), that means the soul is being distracted, in other words, you have been feeding yourself with the wrong food. Galatians 5:16-17 says,
When you stay with sin, you arouse the flesh not to obey the Spirit (to those who are born again), that means the soul is being distracted, in other words, you have been feeding yourself with the wrong food. Galatians 5:16-17 says,
In case you didn’t know [which I doubt], as a result of having the Holy Spirit and feeding yourself with the right Spiritual food, you manifest the fruit of the Spirit. And as such, you see all that you received in the Spirit manifest in your physical body eventually, thus your soul has opened up to believe and what is in the Spirit flows to the body to manifest attributes such as wisdom, knowledge, healing, wholeness, prosperity, good success, and as a whole, the fullness of Christ. But when you gratify the flesh, which is meddling with sin you see old age, sickness, poverty, depression, as a whole, the struggles of this world inherited from the first Adam, whereas that isn’t your inheritance as one born of God. But many proud religious fellows would say they don’t manifest the works of the flesh. This is what I have to say to them: I only wrote on the works of the flesh, I haven’t written where it came from. It is when I tell you where they come from, that you would understand the importance of walking in the Spirit, and won’t boast on self-righteousness, because Galatians 5:24-25 says, “And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.”
Now that we know that those who are born of God have crucified the flesh and its passions, it is clear to us, but I haven’t explained where the works of the flesh come from, even though we know that meditating on the word of God day and night helps in strengthening us, but what is contained in the second package that we must be careful of, which hunts every Son of God every time, even as I type? Log on tomorrow as I write on The Deadly Package.
May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.
Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
Log on next time.
