How To Speak By Faith

Hello everyone,

Faith is a word we hear every time from the mouth of many, which include all Sons and Daughters of God, but the question is do we know how to use faith to live, or do we know how to speak by faith.

2 Corinthians 5:7 says, “For we walk by faith [we regulate our lives and conduct ourselves by our conviction or belief respecting man’s relationship to God and divine things, with trust and holy fervour; thus we walk] not by sight or appearance.” The Amplified Bible, and

we are to live by faith. A popular verse of the Bible says without faith it is impossible to please God, (ref.: Hebrews 11:6), which implies that there is no way you can call yourself a Son or Daughter of God and won’t live by faith. In essence, if the absence of faith cannot please God, it implies that we must always function in faith, as we know the just shall live by faith. So, how do we speak by faith, taking that into cognisance first? This is my focus today.

The very first thing to understand is that before you walk, live or speak by faith, you must, first of all, know what Grace is. As I said yesterday, Grace is a person, He is the full package that we never knew we were worth having, and why is that? It is because all that we would ever need in our life is found in Jesus. Jesus is completeness and everything God has given because in Him are riches in every measure beyond what our mind can comprehend. Jesus is a brand new life, very different from the one we met when we were born. What we need to do is to know what is contained in Jesus which is what we received as Grace from God through faith in Jesus. What is this faith process and how do we speak through faith?

One thing we must know is that faith is different from hope, this is because many times we speak using hope, we think it is faith. For instance, to tell God to heal you is a prayer of hope, but to thank God for healing you, even when there is no physical sign of your healing YET, that is faith! Faith rests on Jesus’ effort and not your self-effort. Every form of sin, from the past to present and the future, [which includes, poverty, sickness, diseases, depression, death and many more related to this] was placed on Jesus. And in we in exchange got His life, which includes, wisdom, knowledge, wealth, perfect health, life and not death, joy, peace and much more. This is why when we speak, we shouldn't speak in future tenses, but in past tense, thus, understanding that they have happened [referring to the cross].

Furthermore, when you speak by faith, you speak like God who calls things that are not as though they are, (ref.: Romans 4:17). Faith is not something that doesn’t exist but would exist, rather, it is something that exists already that we would walk into. Faith is like a written book, and we are acting the script from chapter one to the end. Everything God says we are, is in the script, and everything has been provided for us ahead of time, and they all belong to you according to what God has provided.

So, when you speak by faith, using health, for instance, you rebuke anything that is not good health, and then you say something like, “Father, thank you that You healed me, and I am healed.” You could quote scriptures supporting this claim, such as 1 Peter 2:24. In the case of finance, you rebuke the financial challenge, and then you say something like, “Father, thank you that you have never ceased to provide for my needs.” And if it is a bill you need to clear, you mention it, by saying thanking Him for clearing the bill. You need to close your eyes and see yourself as your needs being met because they have actually been met. What we see around us are lies which don’t support the truth of the Grace of God in His provision for us. God says we are healthy, the world says we aren’t, someone is lying and it isn’t God for He cannot conceive lies. Anything God says must come to pass, but lies cannot come to pass because they don’t exist!

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
