Faith and Lies (Part 1)

Hi everyone,

The popular statement “the just shall live by faith” is what we hear from the lips of those born of God, but living and walking by faith is not often seen or is not the first call to action in many cases. Many may result in faith later, but it is not that they take the action of faith immediately when something happens, and why is that? The reason is because the unbelief level in the world is increasing, to the point where they cannot differentiate between faith and lies, and the false teachers are a part of the major cause, as I said, a part of the major cause, which implies, there are other causes, or rather there for me is one other major cause, which is ourselves. My focus today is the difference between faith and lies.

The popular verse defining what faith is Hebrews 11:1, and it says, “NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].” The Amplified Bible. The faith we express is the belief that everything that we hope for and will ever hope for has been given to us already, but would manifest in the fullness of time respectively, because God has placed the answers to our hope at strategic areas, all we are to do is believe that they already exist, and this belief is called faith. But when you look at this, a lot of what we have hoped for, which we are to have faith in, sounds like lies, but there is a difference or differences between faith and lies.

A lie or lies, in general, is the painting of a story which resembles reality but is not. It has neither a beginning or end, this is how liars are caught because they weren’t able to fuse the painted story into reality, and that is why they keep on lying over and over again, thus trying to find a way to fuse the false story into that which is true. But no matter how well the lies are crafted, they are not true, because everything in it is a lie and has no bearing, and its source is from the grand master of lies himself—the devil. So, how do we separate faith from lies?

First of all, there cannot be faith without hope or Grace. Faith is just the link between Grace and hope. Also, the acquisition of faith comes with an assurance which God would always give, going by how Hebrews 11:1 puts it, which is what lies would never give. When angel Gabriel appeared to Mary, giving her the good news of being the chosen one to conceive the Son of God, he made reference to Elisabeth her cousin who was known to be barren and was later with a child. The Lord God ensures we believe, as the focus is not of our selfish interest. To further know and understand how to separate faith from lies, log on same time tomorrow.

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
