To Be Fruitful and To Multiply Under Jesus

Happy new week everyone.

In Genesis 1:28, after creating man, God said to Adam, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” All these still apply today, but my focus here is on “Be fruitful and multiply…” to be fruitful implies that there are seeds inside us that can enable us to multiply and fill the earth, but to be

fruitful also means being able to make things multiply and fill the earth, in other words, God gave us the creative power to use here on earth and these are seeds which we nurture to become fully grown. Again, it also means that everything that happens to us is really up to us because He has put us in charge. But in the new covenant, after the last Adam, what does being fruitful mean?

In Matthew 28:19 and 20, it says, ““Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.” Making disciples of all the nations and teaching them to observe all that Jesus taught them is the act of being fruitful. To baptise them is to birth them into a new life, and Jesus did this first when He appointed twelve disciples. He taught them to observe all that He had commanded them while He was here on earth, and with the help of the Holy Spirit as He said in John 14:26, “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.”

As one born under the last Adam, we are meant to be thoroughly discipled in Jesus, understanding how to live the true nature of God here on earth, the new life we received in the Spirit, because if this not done properly, we would disciple the newly born wrongly, and it would go on and on, unless there is a change along the line. This is why in Ephesians 4:11-13, it says, “And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.” The aim is to give the new creation the proper education of who they are right now after being born again, therefore manifesting the fullness of Christ with time physically.

Our aim shouldn’t be just to bring people to Christ and leave as overgrown babies, rather it is our responsibility to disciple them thoroughly in Christ. There is a unique way of life that those born of Christ are to live, which is the God kind of life, but if you are not well discipled, this would not be achieved.

To be discipled is to have every part of your life equipped with Christ, even to your feeding. This is our true mandate, and remember, the Holy Spirit is there to guide us to the right place to be discipled if you haven’t found one. Our aim is to mature into the fullness of Christ physically, as we already have the fullness of Christ in the Spirit the moment we became born again, with that we would stand out as the true transformation agents of the world for good.

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!

How Big Is GOD To You?

Happy Sunday everyone,

Life is full of challenges here and there, and to stand strong is only by the grace of GOD. From one health challenge to financial challenge to the challenges, you face at work to the challenges of raising your children, ensuring they are brought up in the Way they should go, and many more. It is then that someone comes to you while facing these challenges, telling you to put your trust in GOD. This would sound so annoying that you could chase the person out because, at the moment, many do not really go to GOD when they face these challenges, especially when they hit so hard. They worry a lot, look up to heaven and with a deep sigh say, “Oh GOD, help me”, and then continue to find out ways they would sort these problems out by themselves. Another contradiction is that they commit their problems to GOD and after that go back to their worries by searching for help everywhere as though they never committed their worries to the LORD. The reason why all these keep happening is that we don’t know how big GOD is when compared to these things that we call problems. These problems are nothing to GOD, but we haven’t properly come to that understanding yet, if we truly have, then we would only look up to HIM and no one else, with full confidence and assurance that the problem is gone because you handed it over to HIM. But do you really know GOD?

A popular story in the Bible in Numbers 13 where GOD told Moses to send men to spy out the land of Canaan. There were twelve who went, and ten came back with logically understandable [negative] reasons why they couldn’t go up against the inhabitants of the land, while just two came back with good report saying in Numbers 14:7-8 which says, “The land we passed through to spy out is an exceedingly good land. If the LORD delights in us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us, ‘a land which flows with milk and honey.’” Then they said something very important in verse nine, “Only do not rebel against the LORD, nor fear the people of the land, for they are our bread; their protection has departed from them, and the LORD is with us. Do not fear them.” Joshua and Caleb who were the two who came back with good report had their confidence not in human logic, but on the LORD, they knew who GOD is, which is very important. Only when you know a person, would you know how much confidence to put in him, but you cannot know GOD and put little confidence in HIM, it is not possible, even though things may appear tough as it was for the spies, but because those who knew their GOD understood their challenges was a piece of cake to GOD.

Jeremiah 32:27 says, “Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is anything too hard for Me?” there is nothing that is too hard for to GOD, but it is until you know who GOD is that you can have this confidence in HIM to handle all your challenges. Daniel 11:32b says, “…but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.” You cannot see the miraculous in your life if you don’t have confidence in GOD. He is your Father and HE is always ready to listen to you and HE always has the answer to every problem or challenge, even to what we may consider irrelevant. Know GOD today, know HIM more and more, you can study the Bible, which is the word of GOD to know HIM more, and with the Holy Spirit to interpret or make it clear, this helps to open up who GOD is and you would see your life get transformed as your challenges are tackled.

For Without Him, You Can Do Nothing

Happy Weekend everyone,

There is a song I enjoyed singing when I was a child, well, I still enjoy the song till now. The song started with what Jesus said in John 15 about Him being the Vine and we the branches. Aside from singing the song, I enjoy reading John chapter 15. Today, my focus is on John 15:5.

John 15:5 says, “I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing.” AMP. The Message Bible puts the underlined thus, “Separated, you can’t produce a thing.” Jesus said, He is the Vine and we are the branches. A Vine is a climbing plant that produces grapes, the vine has branches attached to it and sustains it. Without the vine, the branches cannot survive; if any branch is cut off the vine, it withers and dies. Jesus said the same of Himself and those born of God, without Him we can do nothing.

Let’s take a look at a hammer, the hammer is strong and fitted, but even with that, the hammer cannot drive nails through a wood by itself, it needs the help of a professional carpenter to drive nails through the wood the right way. If an ordinary person uses the hammer, he most likely won’t drive the nails as good as the carpenter this is what Jesus meant when He said without Him we can do nothing.

We have received the Holy Spirit through Jesus. He is the same Spirit in Jesus, in other words, without the Holy Spirit, there is no Jesus! The Holy Spirit serves as our counsellor, guardian, helper, direction, and many more. The Holy Spirit keeps us in line with the path of Jesus by teaching us all things.

Man, unknown to him do not know that He is blind and in darkness, he is used to it and feels that is how life is meant to be. He cannot see beyond his nose, has no idea of what the future holds, as I have said before and would say again, he lives his life based on assumption and probability, in other words, guesswork. But to be attached to Jesus implies you live the life of Christ, the One in whom all authority in heaven and earth has been given to and at His name every knee would bow and every tongue would confess, in heaven, earth and under the earth, this is the person we are meant to be attached to.

If you are not attached to Jesus, you would wear out like a plant who has been uprooted from its roots, this was what happened to Adam, who then affected the whole world. But when you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved, and your life would be firmly rooted in Christ, in other words, we would be as the branches attached to the true Vine, and be sustained forever.

For without Him we can do nothing, without the carpenter, the hammer can do nothing, likewise without Jesus, we can do nothing.

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God.” Romans 8:14

The Lesson Behind The Widow's Mite

 Hello everyone,

Giving is an important path of our spiritual growth, because when we give we get to learn something quite important. Well, that depends on how we give anyways. In an earlier write-up, I said the state of the heart determines if what we give is acceptable to GOD. Making a reference from Romans 12:1, I explained that the most important part of giving is the giving of our bodies as a living sacrifice which Apostle Paul said is our reasonable act of worship. But as we give, what do we learn? Let’s find out.

There is a popular scenario where Jesus and His disciples were at the temple, and Jesus watched how the crowd cast their money into the treasury. Many rich people threw large sums in the treasury, but a widow who was poverty-stricken place two copper coins or mites into the treasury. Jesus told His disciples that among all who gave, the widow gave the most because she gave all that she had, while others just gave out of their abundance. So, why did Jesus make such a remark?

King David said he won’t offer burnt offerings to the LORD with that which costs him nothing, (ref.: 2 Samuel 24:24; 1 Chronicles 21:24). To offer a substance to GOD doesn’t necessarily have to be money, but it should be something that has value to you, something that after when offered you know you’ve given something of substance, not something that doesn’t affect you in any way. So because money seems to be a thing which people place a lot of value on, which is why money is the most common valuable substance today. To some, their time could be of greater value to them than even their money, and when offered, is an offering to GOD. But still, what lesson can we learn when we make sincere offerings?

Looking at a normal way of thinking, to offer something or a substance which cost you a lot, which could be money, time, property, and other related things, it would appear to be a waste of resources and could be considered as foolishness. But when it is offered to GOD, it is an act of faith, in other words, you are declaring that resources or valuable substances do not come from your self-effort, but from GOD Himself, who gave you life and the resources to live here on earth. It is a sign that you recognise GOD as your Father who has blessed you with all spiritual blessings. It is this act that allows you to grow spiritually by recognising that you are nothing without GOD and that He is the One who is ever faithful and keep to His words and is your help in time of need and your constant provider.

King David understood that it was GOD who got him where he was and if he was to offer anything to Him in appreciation, it must be something of value, and because GOD is always there to provide. But there are people who are scared to offer something of value because they feel they won’t recover it, in other words, doing that implies it is by their effort that they are blessed which is not a sign of faith. The widow Jesus spoke of gave her all, to do that meant that she understood that even though she had given her all, it was a total trust and faith that GOD who is her provider would always provide because she had considered GOD above what she was going through, which was what made her offering more remarkable than other who gave out of their abundance which wouldn’t affect anything in their life.

What we learn when we give is that we become strengthened through faith because we are more committed to GOD. Giving helps to build our trust in GOD, it allows us to get more into the grace which has been unto us through Jesus, and this is where miracles happen. However, as I said in one of my previous write-ups, in as much as you want to give or become a serial giver, the most important thing to allow your giving not to be in vain is to be led by the Holy Spirit, this is very important.

It is very much possible that the widow who gave her mite got her miracle. For Jesus to have noticed what she did was a display of faith.

Did You Know This About Self-control?

Hello everyone,

There is this thing about knowledge, having a lot of it can puff a person up, in other words, the person becomes full of pride, even knowledge in the word of God puffs up, but the only way to control or prevent being full of pride especially in the word of God is to have self-control. Yes, self-control.

Self-control is a fruit of the Holy Spirit, it is an action we display after meditating on the word of God by being transformed by the renewal of our minds, it is not that which human beings possess naturally, it is the life and attitude of the Holy Spirit Himself found our new life.

There are several characteristics I have received from God which is in high concentration, and all of a sudden you seem to super smart in these areas when compared to people around. It is normal to educate people in these areas, but when education is done without being led by the Holy Spirit, it can lead to pride. You feel so important that you don’t want to listen to anyone anymore. This was what happened to Lucifer, the former Arch-angel. He was very close to God and given control over many things, he was very beautiful, he was called the ‘light bearer’, and many other things. Pride and iniquity was found in him which was what made him to demand the same reverence as that of God and even higher, in other words being jealous of God, but he was banished because his intentions weren’t clean, pure and it wasn't of God, (ref.: Isaiah 14:1-15; Revelation 12:7-9).

Self-control in a good sense, implies that you are conscious of what God has called you for and it means using what God has endowed you with according to how He wants you to use it, thus understanding that you were endowed for a reason which you are to accomplish, and as a result of this, humility grows in you, which was what Jesus did. He was endowed with so much power here on earth, but didn’t do anything without being led by the Spirit, (ref.: John 5:19). The lack of self-control, on the other hand, is to use what you were endowed with, your own way, and this brings pride. It wasn’t until the Holy Spirit called my attention to the presence of pride and the importance of being led by the Holy Spirit, that made me know the importance of self-control in my life.

Galatians 5:16 says, “I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.” Verse 25 of Galatians 5 says “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” Yes, we have that moment in our lives where we are itching to show-off what we’ve got loaded in us to the people around us, but if you are not led to use them, then stay put, or else, pride would creep in. You may think it is just a small thing, but a great tree was once a tiny seed, and if care is not taken, it could become your lifestyle, as Apostle Paul wrote to the Corinthians in 2 Corinthians 13:5, “Examine and test and evaluate your own selves whether you are holding to your faith and showing the proper fruits of it. Test and prove yourselves [not Christ]. Do you not yourselves realize and know [thoroughly by an ever-increasing experience] that Jesus Christ is in you - unless you are [counterfeits] disapproved on trial and rejected?” AMP.

Self-control is a fruit of the Spirit, and this can only manifest when we remain and live in the Spirit, and being led by the Holy Spirit of Jesus founded on the word of God.

Nothing is Too Trivial

 Hi everyone,

Jesus and His disciples were invited for a wedding in Cana of Galilee, then it happened that the wine at the ceremony finished. Mary the mother of Jesus immediately turned to Him and said, “They have no wine” John 2:3. I was expecting the creation of a team to quickly go in search of wine, but for Jesus to be the first person to cross her mind, that was amazing, even if I know Jesus and that He performs miracles, I wouldn’t have gone to Him first, not because I don’t consider Him important but the issue on ground seems trivial, but Mary went to Him and got results.

When we have issues in our lives, as trivial as it is, we often try to solve them by ourselves. But often times, as trivial as they are, we do not find it easy whereas we would have consulted God first, which was what Mary did. We know that Mary knows what Jesus is capable of, and it is almost certain that Jesus must have performed several miracles for Mary in her house, we should do likewise by looking unto Him in every situation because Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to us, who is our helper and counsellor. So, even if it is as simple as your cooking gas finishing and you don’t know what to do, consult Jesus through the Holy Spirit, for He is ever ready to help us in every situation. And there is nothing trivial to Him because He loves when we come to Him. Don’t forget, He is our Father and our every help in time of need.

Give Yourself First

 Hello everyone,

Giving is one thing I hear a lot at church gathering today. Emphasis is placed on this as though the church is afraid of not having. I hear scriptures being read to the members which sort of compels them to give. Giving is very important as a Son of God, don’t get me wrong, but many people at church gathering are forced to give because areas in the Bible that have to do with fear are read to compel the members to give. But the truth is that many don’t give in love, but in fear or “selfish ambition”, and what is very important for every Son of God to know about giving isn’t explained, and this is what today’s write-up is all about.

In one of my past write-up, I explained that giving is not just about what is being given, but all about the giver. God doesn’t look at what is given first, He looks at the giver’s heart first. Romans 12:1 says, “I beseech you therefore, brethren by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.” Your heart is what defines who you are, where you stand, and the condition of your heart when you are giving. Presenting your body to God is a Spiritual worship to God, and this was what the Macedonians did, (ref.: 2 Corinthians 8:1-5).

2 Corinthians 8:1-2 says, “WE WANT to tell you further, brethren, about the grace (the favour and spiritual blessing) of God which has been evident in the churches of Macedonia [arousing in them the desire to give alms]; 2 For in the midst of an ordeal of severe tribulation, their abundance of joy and their depth of poverty [together] have overflowed in wealth of lavish generosity on their part.” AMPLIFIED. The Macedonians were overflowing with joy when it came to giving, even with their severe poverty, and why was it easy for them to do this? It was easy because they understood what Romans 12:1 says.

2 Corinthians 8:5 continued on the way of life of the Macedonians towards giving, “Nor [was this gift of theirs merely the contribution] that we expected, but first they gave themselves to the Lord and to us [as His agents] by the will of God [entirely disregarding their personal interests, they gave as much as they possibly could, having put themselves at our disposal to be directed by the will of God].”

The very first thing everyone in the church gathering, whether they are saved or not is that giving their hearts first to the Lord is what is important to God. This is what allows you to know how to give because your giving won’t be out of compulsion, but out of love and joy. There won’t be any need for threats to be read in the church, all in the name of giving, rather Romans 12:1 should be read, the testimony of the Macedonians should also be read. And one more thing, it is not your giving that allows God to bless you under the dispensation of Christ resurrection (write-up for another day).

God is not Deaf or Mute

Happy New week everyone,

It is important to pray, but when you keep on repeating the same thing over and over and you don’t see any positive changes, it means one thing, God has spoken to you, but you didn’t listen. First of all, we don’t serve a God that is deaf or mean who won’t want to respond till your tear dock is dry, rather we serve an ever-merciful God and is our ever help in time of need, so why would He be quiet as things get worse, not remaining the same? Jesus said He is the light of the world (ref.: John 8:12), and what does light do? It illuminates the area, which means it allows people to see better, it gives hope, it saves lives, and He now has given us the mandate by telling us to go out to be salt and light to the world (ref.: Matthew 5:13-15).

To be the salt and the light of the world doesn’t mean you should just pray in your closet alone, that is putting your light under a bushel. Salt is a natural seasoning which improves the cooking, it improves, brings to light a good taste, sort of like coming to the rescue, the same is also said of light. Light is very essential, for without it there would be chaos, this would mean that to be the light is to bring peace, and by bringing peace is to bring transformation.

To pray is to communicate with God by making requests in some cases, but the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY whom I serve communicates with His children, He isn’t mute, He speaks, and when you speak to Him through prayers He responds by giving us answers. He tells us what to do which brings the result we’ve always wanted. Look through the Bible, there wasn’t a time God didn’t respond, and if it appears He doesn't, many times He had given you instructions on what to do earlier, you just need to remember what He said.

To be the salt and light of the world, you must walk with God by putting your ears down to listen to what He has to say after you’ve made your prayers. The Bible says in Matthew 5:16, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Your light has to shine through your works, this is the only way the world can be transformed.

Remember our God wants a dialogue with His children, He is our ever present help in time of need, He is ever merciful, and He is not deaf and not mute.

We Just Lost Focus

 Happy Sunday everyone,

When I go through the Bible and read some stories about the heroes of the Bible and how God showed His great power back then. Then coming to Jesus Himself how He displayed His power and authority, which was seen in the early Apostles, sometimes, it could appear as though God doesn’t show so much of His power and authority in this present age. One could think maybe God has changed in the way He does things. But He hasn’t, Hebrews 13:8 says, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” So, why aren’t we seeing His power like the days of Moses, Elijah, and the early Apostles?

God/Jesus hasn’t changed, the reason why we aren’t seeing the display of God as we read in the Bible is just that of one thing—increase in unbelief. The level of unbelief has been increasing over the years and centuries. One thing we must understand is that God has never operated here on earth without going through man. If Man doesn’t believe, then the power cannot flow, this is why Jesus often said, “Be it unto you according to your faith.” It has always been a two-way communication, God gives, and we receive. But if we don’t receive, then nothing happens. Go through the Bible and you’ll find out that, Noah agreed to build the ark; Abraham had believed in God and he had Isaac; Moses agreed to bring the children of Israel out of Egypt; Deborah, Gideon, David, Elijah, Elisha, just name them, if they didn’t receive the power from God, nothing would have happened. And it was the level of their faith that determined that. But the level of faith today isn’t as strong as it was back then, that is why Jesus looking at the future asked if He would find faith on earth when He returns. Jesus is still the same, it is the faith of many that has changed.

Ephesians 3:20 says, “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that is at work within us.” The truth is that we have more authority than those of the old testament Bible days heroes, we have the fullness of Christ dwelling in us which they didn’t have back then. It is just the amount you release that you would see. This goes to show the Sons of God need to be heavily equipped in order to carry out His work, or else we are all doomed. But one thing is sure which is that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever, just allow Him to flow through you and see greater things than that of old manifest in your life.

Is Faith a Process?

Happy Weekend everyone,

There are times in our lives where we claim to have faith, but it appears nothing seems to be happening. It could be quite annoying because we think faith is futuristic, and we wonder why things delay. The truth is that faith itself is "now" but the manifestation in our lives may not be immediate, and why is that? It is because we delay things to manifest and not faith itself.

One thing we need to understand is that when we need something and we declare it through the scriptures, we don’t need to force what we declared to come to pass, actually, that is very stressful to us. Faith is supposed to the natural, in other words, it has to be our nature. As I said in my past blog, we all have faith as human-beings, but the moment we become Christ like beings we live using the faith of Christ.

When the Bible says, “The just shall live by faith” [ref.: Habakkuk 2:4; Romans 1:17; Galatians 3:11; Hebrews 10:38], it doesn’t mean we should try to live another person’s life, what it means is that we are to live our lives! Surprising right? So what is our life or better still, who is our life? Jesus is our life [ref.: Colossians 3:4]. So the truth is that as we speak, we put things into motion immediately, but most times we don’t get to see it immediately so we think nothing is happening. The power you possess the moment you become Christ-like is just a confirmation on things that are already done by the grace of God through Jesus, it is not something we need to work for, but just to believe.

Now, the issue why we don’t see the manifestation of things immediately could fall into two reasons which are: there is an appointed time for that thing to manifest, or second, have a doubt which prevents the manifestation of what has already been done. But there is a solution, which is that we don’t need to declare with so much intensity as if we are afraid it never existed. What we just need to do is for our senses to perceive the right thing every time (meditation), with time when our senses are used to perceiving the right thing, we live the right life, it’s as simple as that, and not a life of force.

For instance, if a person has a health issue, he needs to understand his infirmities and diseases were nailed to the cross, and Jesus gave him His life. From this point, all he would do is just to declare the truth which is that by the stripes of Jesus is was made healed, and other related scriptures. Now, some times, the body may not completely believe this, this is why the person doesn’t get transformed. But as he keeps saying it or he keeps hearing it over and over again, eventually, his body gets to conform to what is being said and then he gets transformed. But that was not when the healing was made available, it had been available since the resurrection of Jesus, all we or that person had to do was just to believe [ref.: Philippians 4:8 AMP].

The Lesson From The Withered Fig Tree

 Hello everyone,

In the popular fig tree story in the Bible which Jesus cursed, going by the Gospel of Mark’s account, there is a lot to learn, which is, the explanation Jesus gave His disciples in Mark 11:20-24. Today, my focus in on the lessons of the withered fig tree.

Jesus was hungry, and seeing a fig tree ahead, he went there hurriedly but found nothing on it which was odd because there were leaves on it. So, Jesus cursed the tree saying to it, “Let no one eat fruit from you ever again.” (ref.: Mark 11:14). Jesus’ disciples heard what He said and the next day when they took that route, Peter called Jesus’ attention to the tree which had withered as a result of what Jesus said. So, where am I heading with this?

Now, this is where I am going, “Have faith in God.” This was what Jesus said to them. We often read the "speaking to the mountain" and "not doubting part", and the, "whatever you say, by believing it you will have them". But my focus is on Jesus’ first statement which was to have faith in God. This to me is the most important of all what Jesus said, and why is that so?

Many of us think faith moves God, which is a very, very wrong definition of faith. Faith simply is the acceptance of all what God has given to us or has already done by Grace. God is not going to do it because He has already done it. In other words, when Jesus looked at the tree, He had seen by faith that the tree had withered, which is why when Jesus said in Mark 11:24 which says, “Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” the reason why this can happen is because you need to see what you pray for as that which had been done before you ask the Father, [falling in line with what Jesus said in Matthew 6:32 which says, “For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.”].

It was important Jesus started by asking them to have faith in God, thus making them understand the importance of walking in line with God’s plans for their lives and not just anything that crosses our minds, like their wants rather than needs.

As children under the new covenant/Jesus Christ, we are to live and walk by faith, which allows us to be led by the Holy Spirit who guides us, and when we speak to a situation it happens because we know that it had already happened and we then see it manifest physically. Therefore, whatever thing may challenge you, you must first understand that Jesus has victory over it, and has given you that victory. It is with this that you then speak to that situation, and you eventually see it manifest physically.

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!

Trust Issues

 Hi everyone,

Have you ever been in a fix and you know there is nothing in that smart brain of yours that can take you out of it? Well, I’ve been in a lot of it, and I keep thinking I can get out of the mess [which truly isn’t possible], but it wasn’t until the Holy Spirit asked who I run to for help when I get into trouble, that I then understood where He was headed.

Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognise, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.” AMP.

The major issue we have is trust issues, we don’t trust God enough. We might say “no, that’s not true, I trust God with all my heart.” What God usually ask us to do is usually strange, or sometimes, they might not be strange but they won’t be heading in the direction you felt was best according to your findings and statistical analysis, generally approved by man, written in books, taught in schools, and so on, but that’s not where He would lead you through. The question now is do we trust God very much? True we trust Him, but to what extent?

The reason why King Solomon said we should trust God by not leaning on our own understanding is that it would in many times contradict what we stand for, but why must we trust Him anyway, is it because He is God, so giving Him that respect is to obey Him? Well, that could be a reason, but God isn’t a mean person Who would lead you astray. And why is it that from the past records, He has never led anyone astray? It is because He knows what is going to happen, He knows the end from the beginning, He sees what no man can see or predict.

As I have said many times before, Man always assumes, use probability, and predict, which is never accurate until they happen by chance. In other words, Man leaves everything to chance. But there is a Person Who chance isn’t in His dictionary, nothing ever happens by accident because He knows the outcome of everything beyond the understanding of Man, that which we can never quantify with our reasoning. Who would you rather choose? The game of chance or the path of accuracy?

The truth is that either taking the route of chance or taking the path of accuracy are risks, but then again, the One with the path of accuracy is Accuracy personified, and the Truth Himself, (ref.: Numbers 23:19; John 14:6), and He can never change, because He is the same yesterday, today, and forever, (ref.: Hebrews 13:8), and in His record, excellence is an understatement. So, when He asks you to follow Him, would you still choose the way of chance or the path of over accuracy? The choice is left to you.

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

The Rain, the Flood, and the Wind

 Hi everyone,

When Jesus spoke on the house on the rock and the house on the sand, He said for the house on the rock in Matthew 7:24, “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them…” Then to the house on the sand, He said in Matthew 7:26, “But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them…” The point here is that the one who heard the sayings of Jesus and did them was the one who built his house on the rock, while the one who heard the sayings of Jesus and didn’t do them is the one who built his house on the sand. Where am I going with this?

Both the house on the rock and on the sand had rain, flood, and winds beat on the houses. My point here is that no matter who you are, the devil would attack, as he is symbolised by the rain, flood, and wind.

Jesus called the man who did what He said a wise man who built his house on the rock, while Jesus called the man who didn’t do what Jesus said a foolish man who built his house on the sand. Jesus has proven to be our protector and true life, it would only be foolish not to abide in Him, for the devil roams about seeking whom he may devour.

The devil brings temptations here and there, he brings troubles, he does everything to shake us away from Christ. But it is only those who are on the rock who is Christ Jesus that will stand firm. Do not be afraid or dismayed with whatever circumstances that come your way. As long as you are fixed in Christ the rock, the devil cannot touch your life, because it belongs to God.

Keep on confessing and meditating on the word of God, allow the Holy Spirit to lead you. It is by doing this that you receive boldness to resist the devil, and he will flee, (ref.: James 4:7), because you did not come with the authority of man, but you came with the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The devil can deceive you by bringing negative symptoms to your body, but resist the devil using the word of God as Jesus did. But even if you fall, do not forget the Son or Daughter of who you are, (ref.: Proverbs 24:16). Remember, the devil is already a defeated foe, all you have to do is to maintain your ground by standing on the rock who is Jesus, constantly meditating on His word day and night, in order to block out all appearances of evil. You will stand firm no matter what the devil throws at you, (ref.: Nahum 1:9).

We are in a battle, people, and the children of God are the most hit, so guard up yourselves for the days we are in are evil.

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Guard Your Thoughts Diligently

 Hi everyone,

2 Corinthians 10:3-6 says,
“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.”

If you think becoming born again is all fun and games, think again. YOU ARE IN A SPIRITUAL WARFARE! You just realised it when you became born again. The devil HATES mankind but HATES Sons and Daughters of God even more. Even though the devil has lost his powers, he is still a mastermind when it comes to deceit, and this is how he has been operating since Jesus took his powers from him. And what does he use? Our thoughts!

The weapons of our warfare which we received from Jesus is mighty in God for pulling down every stronghold, and this weapon is Jesus the Word of God, and this is what the devil doesn’t want us to know.

The moment something strange happens around us, if you’ve noticed, the devil quickly puts thoughts in our mind which is not in line with what Jesus has made us become in Him. The thoughts appear normal, but it isn’t because the world is very corrupt, so we think corrupt thoughts as normal. Why would you think of sickness or disease, or why would you think of poverty or death, anything different from who Christ Jesus says you are?

Colossians 1:13 says, “He [Jesus] has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. Numbers 23:19 says, “God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?” Then how come the devil still attacks us, particularly Sons and Daughters of God? It is because we give him the power to attack us through our thoughts.

We are to immediately bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ Jesus, through praise and worship, confession, and the meditation of the Word of God, rebuking the thought using the Word of God. Do not for a microsecond allow the thought to get into your mind and remain there. This is how the devil makes and create what doesn’t exist, and remember the devil is the father of lies, everything he says is a lie. It appears simple, but it isn’t, it is a battle. You must be vast in the scriptures, particularly on the finished works of Jesus, Who is the gift we have received through grace.

Jesus said those who hear His words and do them will stand firm when the devil attacks, which means we have to be focused on the Word of God and allow the Holy Spirit to lead us. Guard your thoughts with the Word of God because the devil is very crafty.
