The Creative Force

God in Genesis 1:26 made man in His IMAGE and LIKENESS. In other words, God made man to have His appearance and behaviour or characteristics. So, man was the physical image of God.

God as we know is a creative being. His word does not go and come back to Him void, but accomplishes all He has sent it to do (ref.: Isaiah 55:11).

Jesus came to redeem man from the fallen nature of death into His kingdom, which is the kingdom of God. Jesus is the true image and likeness of God. And this time, Jesus is God Himself in the form of man. He is everything that God is, and anyone who receives Jesus as Lord carries this same spirit of God in him or her.

Now, where am I going with this?

What exactly is the creative force?

The word of God is the creative force of God. And Jesus is the Word of God. In Him all things were made, and without Him nothing is made (ref.: John 1:3; Hebrews 1:2,3; Colossians 1:15).

Now, since we now understand that Jesus is the creative force of God, and we carry His Spirit, let's look at 2 Corinthians 10:4-6. It says, "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, ⁵casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, ⁶and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled."

The weapons of our warfare are neither carnal nor of the flesh. The verse says, our weapons are mighty in God for the pulling down of strongholds. In very, very simple terms, the weapon of our warfare as Sons and Daughters of God is the name of Jesus.

When you read Philippians 2:9-11, you will see that Jesus has been given a name that is above every other name. And in His name every knee will bow, and every tongue will confess that He is Lord.

The word of God in the name of Jesus is the creative force we have received and we should be careful how we speak because our words carry power and it creates.

So, if there is anything that isn't aligning itself to who you are in Christ, speak it to existence. And of course you must believe what you confess by faith. For even God by faith created the world (ref.: Hebrews 11:3).

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
