When we were born, we lived with the will we were born with. Now, this will was sin inclined. Sin in itself is "lifelessness," that is, just doing anything without purpose. But as we have received Jesus as our new life, we are exposed to our true will, which actually is the will of God, for our life in particular.
Everyone has been created and designed for a specific purpose. To live away or outside this purpose is to malfunction or live outside the will of God for our individual lives. The point now would be to know the particular thing we were created for.
When you live the will you were born with, you act as Adam after his fall. But as Jesus becomes your life, the will of God is prompted within you. And when you live His life, you release excellence hidden within you, the excellence and perfect life God has placed within your creation and design.
The life you are to live is not about your thinking things through, but your resting on God who has thought it through. In other words, it's as simple as waking up in the morning and asking God what He wants you to do that day. And trust me, whatever He says you're to do, He has seen the end of it because He is there already. And guess what? The best person to get to the end of what God has asked you to do that day or any other day, is you and no one else.
You were designed for perfection. Colossians 2:9-10 says, "For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; ¹⁰and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power." God is perfect, and His fulness dwells in you because you're complete in Him. Therefore, anytime you follow what He asks you to do, just know that getting the job done miraculously is the order of the day.
Go through the scriptures, there is no one who chose to go by what God said that ever failed, even when everything seemed impossible. This is God we're talking about here, the one who knows the end from the beginning; the one who is at the end as He is with us at the moment; the one who designed you as the perfect person for the job because He put His Spirit in you to function in perfection in accordance to your creation.
Your will is actually resting on His will, and this is true faith. Don't forget, without faith, it is impossible to please God; resting on His word brings you into a prosperous and successful conclusion (ref.: Hebrews 11:6; Joshua 1:8). Rest on His will.
Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
