When God asks you to do something, don't think because you're awesome He asked you to get that thing done. As a matter of fact, you have absolutely nothing to prove that you can do it without Him. OK, you probably might be thinking, "of course we can't do it without Him". No that's not what I mean. What I mean is that many times we feel because we have a talent or gift God picked us. Nope.
Our gifts and talent are secondary. He looked at our hearts first, our commitment to things, not from the physical point of view, but the Spiritual point of view.
Apostle Paul wasn't picked because of zeal alone, that was secondary. The primary reason was that he had a humble heart, as you can see that when he said "who are You, Lord" when he was pushed off his horse on the way to Damascus, (ref.: Acts 9:5). He had nothing to brag about despite all what he acquired.
When God calls us, if you think you've got what it takes because of certain gifts or talent given to you by God, you'll end up going in circles till to give up the job.
Humility is to submit to His instructions. In other words, it is all of Him and non of you in getting the job done. No matter what degree you bagged, it is nothing before God.
The talent and gifts you found out you have are just signs of what God can use you for in that line, which implies that you are to wait for His instructions as you get ready.
The talents and gifts are like tools which are completely useless without someone using the tools for what it was designed for.
A hammer is useless on its own with being used by a carpenter or a person trained to use it, likewise anyone who has been blessed gifts or talents is nothing without being led by the Holy Spirit in humility.
Yes, you have these gifts, but without the Holy Spirit, you're going to mess things up. So, stop trying, and start listening, and He will lead you. Then, you'll see the main reason why you were given the gift or talent, because God alone know the purpose to which He created you, and what you are to fulfill through these abilities.
Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
