When we look at how things are going in the world, it's quite scary and could be worrisome. There was a pandemic few years ago, that affected the world's economy. And just when things seem to be getting back to normal a world power had earlier invaded a smaller country and thus has once again affected the world's economy. Sadly, smaller countries are really having a tough time as prices of things are just hitting the roof.
The truth is that all these shouldn't be a surprise as they are expected to happen. The world's economy has been unstable since the fall of man.
Man has lived with a scarcity mentality that they see as normal. But is this how we are meant to live?
Let's take a look at the feeding of the 5,000. As Jesus took the five loaves of bread and two fish, He looked up to heaven, blessed and broke them before sharing them, (ref.: Matthew 14:13-21; Mark 6:31-44; Luke 9:12-17; John 6:1-14).
These guys were hungry and the food available was scarce just as the world is today. But Jesus who isn’t from the economy of world, but of God's economy looked into heaven, in other words, connected Himself with His kingdom. He saw from His kingdom which is a kingdom of abundance.
Jesus blessed the bread and fish, which is an act of faith, thus allowing the bread and fish connect to the faith of Jesus, which rests on God's economy. This was why the five loaves of bread and two fish multiplied.
As Sons and Daughters of God, we have no business with the economy of this world on how we function. The economy is an economy of abundance, and as we confess the grace given to us by Jesus, faith is birthed as we believe. The Holy Spirit leads us on how to live in line with God's economy right here on earth. And then you'll find out how you lack nothing in a world of scarcity. You'll experience the grace of God in everything you do because you see through the Spirit of Jesus.
This is not fantasy but real life. God's economy is VERY REAL.
Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
