Are Your Words Sweet? (Part 2)

In my last write-up, I explained that when we speak or reply people, the question we should ask ourselves is to know if our words are sweet or edifying. The point here is that even though our intention in passing a message is to edify the person, the manner in which the message is passed is very important because it is your manner of approach that determines if the message you intend to pass is successful or not. As sweet words brings healing to the soul, and a soft answer chases away wrath.

Now, today's focus is a little different from the Part 1, and it is very important we know this.

Proverbs 16:24 says, "Nothing is more appealing than speaking beautiful, life-giving words. For they release sweetness to our souls and inner healing to our spirits." TPT.

As we know, speaking beautifully releases healing to our soul. I explained this in my last write-up, but have we ever channelled this sweet words to ourselves? Our bodies listen to what we confess, and it eventually becomes what we confess over time.

Inferiority complex comes from the words we speak to ourselves. Likewise, sickness, diseases, poverty, success, prosperity, wealth, increase. But even if we know all these, the important thing is how we speak these things to our body.

The Passion Translation says in Proverbs 16:24, that nothing is more appealing than speaking beautiful, life-giving words. Now, sicknesses, poverty, diseases aren't life-giving words, so they cannot be appealing. But speaking success, prosperity, success, health, wealth are life-giving words, and they release sweetness to our soul and inner healing to our spirit.

You may be going through a lot of challenges, people may be bringing you down. The most important thing is, what manner are you speaking these words to yourself? The reason is because, confession is one stage, believing is another, and believing is what activates what has been confessed overtime. But the healing is achieved when these words are spoken sweetly. We receive strength when we speak sweetly to ourselves, as our subconscious allows us to fall in line with what we've been confessing, and this becomes a reality.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
