Understanding Wisdom (Part 1)

Hello everyone,

As we move about, we gather information around us with the use of our senses, which when properly arranged by the brain or memory, it could serve as information which would be useful after being understood. Now, the proper application of knowledge is wisdom, but they come in various degrees which makes a person wiser than the other. Today, I’ll be taking a look at wisdom.

Wisdom is a very powerful thing, it is abstract in nature, but without it everything would go wrong. Many of us haven’t really understood that it is wisdom that gets things done, maybe at work or anywhere. Yes, we need knowledge and we need to understand this knowledge, but these are theoretical, the practical side is wisdom, which is the expected to be the perfect application of knowledge, but do we all have the ability to apply knowledge perfectly? It is this imperfection that leads to flaws and errors.

When Solomon, King David’s son became King, he asked for wisdom, and when God saw that that was what he wanted, He gave Solomon wisdom beyond any man on earth, and He gave him riches and honour far more than any man on earth that would ever live. After this, happened, it wasn’t that Solomon just went to his closet and saw millions appear all of a sudden or the best horses just appeared, how did God’s word come to pass concerning Solomon’s wealth? It was through his profound wisdom! Solomon’s wisdom was so great that those who came to visit him honoured him with gifts which grew. This was the hand of God in the life of Solomon.

Solomon did not operate with the common wisdom of man, but with the wisdom of God. God’s wisdom is the perfect wisdom which contains no flaws. Wisdom is what is used to solve problems and bring in solution. But as I said, the wisdom of man is full of flaws, and as this is so, we must seek a higher calling which is to gain access to that wisdom which Solomon had access to. But the truth here is that the wisdom of God is a person.

God is not a man that He should lie when Jesus referred to Himself as one who is greater than Solomon [ref. Matthew 12:42; Luke 11:31], did that mean God was lying? No, it only came to establish that Jesus Himself is the wisdom of God, and Apostle Paul acknowledged this in 1 Corinthians 1:24. This goes to show that as you receive Christ into your life, you receive the fullness of God’s wisdom into your life, which is why it would be a shame if any Son of God isn’t full of wisdom, that means he or she doesn’t know that stuff he or she is made up of.

I have said it before and I will say it again, the Sons of God are the solution to the world’s problems, as Apostle Paul said in Romans 8:19. Know who you are made up of and see Christ move through you.

May the LORD bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you. May the LORD be gracious to you and lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. AMEN.

Why not accept Jesus today if you haven’t. Pray out loud, “Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Saviour. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!” Congratulations, you’re born again, you are now brand new!
